How do those compared to Hydrus? Both of those from Ph. Martin's look real nice, I don't know if there's a standout difference between the two.

Hydrus uses pigments, Radiant Concentrated are dyes.

The Hydrus are lightfast and permanent because they use high quality standard pigments.

The Radiants are fugative and non-permanent but they're extremely vibrant. They're also totally transparent, while with the Hydrus it varies from color to color; most Hydrus are transparent but some are semi-transparent and a couple are opaque.

Both are very highly concentrated. Since the Hydrus are pigment-based they're darker if you don't dilute them. Pure Phthalo Blue for instance will go down looking almost like black. The Radiants are dyes so rather than being dark they're extremely saturated undiluted. Unless you want to paint an acid trip with maximum brightness you'll be diluting them.

If you feel like you need to pick between the two, don't. They're totally intermixable. You can take a Hydrus and add a touch of dye to really punch it up, although that won't stop the dye from fading.

Thanks much for the info, anon! Radiant sounds like it could be used in a few other (non-fine art) applications thanks to the dye, so I'll probably end up looking more into those.
