Is paypal the way to go for receiving payments for commissions? Doesn't paypal have that charge back fuckery? Do you just get fucked if a client decides to charge back after you've done the work?

I don't know what a charge back is, but if your clients are fucking you that bad, you shouldn't be doing work for these types of people. I literally only use Paypal anymore. I don't even have any bank accounts (because I owe too much child support lol). The only annoying thing about Paypal is their service fee, which you can avoid if the client sends you the money as a gift.

Charge back is when the person that sent you the money makes a claim with paypal saying you didn't deliver or whatever and paypal takes the money back.

Paypal is REALLY bad for sellers of all kinds, and especially artists. If they get a hint that you're drawing porn, for instance, they freeze your account and good luck ever getting your money out of it. And yes, clients can reverse charges after paying you and Paypal will take money out of your account and give it to them no questions asked.

Unfortunately, there really aren't any other viable options for getting paid online. Sure, a few exist, but good luck getting clients to sign up for them and use them.

Never had that happen, and I've been using Paypal for like 10 years or so. I've been using it exclusively (as in, not using banks) for like 3 years with no issues. Worst thing I've had with Paypal is an eBay buyer saying I sent them something broken, so Paypal held that amount in limbo until we resolved it.
