"Art" camp? More like photo manipulation camp. You're not going to learn shit, it's a waste of $300.

>> No.2221700

shills really still need to pay money to learn how to photobash and add atmospheric perspective to flat environments?

I'm not Titus, I'm just an avid fan. Why the fuck would I ask to pirate it?

>>2221694
I just want to learn how to 'paint' like him. He's art is amazing.

Where else could I learn that?

magic the gathering payed for the photobash in ops image,
notice how the artist didnt even hide his stamp tool use on the right of those hills
this apparently is gonna be printed on play mats.

in away it makes me think any one can get away with working in the art field with photos, no more skill needed to paint.

That coral reef texture looks awful. It really doesn't fit.

Yeah some of the stuff in that is seriously embarrassing. I mean, it's a fine technique to use for film concepts like this, but for finished illustration work for a playmat no less, he should really not have something so sloppy and unfinished. Those root things in the sky are low res textures that are upscaled then suddenly switch to unfinished brushwork??? The random Mullins-wannabe mixer brush mess in the lower left, the tress on the right that are just scribbles (lel at the photo tree that switches to scribbles at the top). If he spent another few hours he could have cleaned this up and made it into a passable matte painting thing, but instead there will be players who have this thing on a large mat in front of them with all these glaring issues.

Maybe for the little cards it would look fine, but I don't know who could possibly think selling that at a high resolution would be a good idea. The lower left and top right corner are just maximum cringe.

Suuure thing Titus. You've done this before and you got busted before. Just do art and leave us alone dude.

God, the more I look at this the worse it gets.

>dat seam on the far-right tree thing that extends to the fucking sky
>dat texture brush doing a terrible job for the moss

Do photobashers pay for the rights of the stock photos they slap onto things? It seems like they should.

>Do photobashers pay for the rights of the stock photos
Almost never. At least not when used like this.

If you have a character illustration for like a cover and you use a single stock photo and put some background and modify some things then there might be some purchasing going on.

For environment stuff or mechanical stuff where many photos are used they just use the images without regard to copyrights and hope that in court they can get away with fair usage since they modified it a lot/used only parts of it.

Most of the photos they use can't be traced anyhow since they use generic images of trees or whatever then will flip it and stretch it and paint over a bit then add another photo to it and then use some sliders to change the values then put a bit of fog over it or something. Tough luck recognizing it.

Oh, some studios I believe do have photo databases full of images for their artists to use that the studio owns all the rights to. But for someone like Titus he likely just grabs whatever he wants off google (I doubt he photographs much himself).

The giant root things in the sky are likely from a specific tree that gets used a ton in concept art bashes. Well there's like maybe two specific famous trees. I forget the name, but you can google "ruined temple tree" and get like a hundred photos of the same tree. You can see Rigney using it in the background of this image too: http://cryptcrawler.deviantart.com/art/Demonic-Queen-446923457
