Ive done those already, I've been working on this characters since 6th grade. I'm 27 now. I'm at work and wanted to just draw her.

Can't just throw down some generic anime girl and expect much of a response

Looks boring and unoriginal like she would be in the background of an anime. Has no personality. Clothes are boring. Silhouette is boring. The whole thing is lacking serious character design. Is it a mom? a teenager? a college student? I wouldn't know because you showed absolutely nothing about her. You can't just draw some average looking girl and expect people to become attached to her the same way you have attached to her over the 14 years you've drawn her. We see nothing as an audience. It's up to you to capture your 14 years of personality you have put into her and show that to the viewer in one image. Once you do that, your original character will be a success.

Honestly, even if it WAS an interesting-looking character, the whole "original character" concept is retarded. Put them in a comic so they are a comic character. Put them in an animation so they are a cartoon character. Illustrate a book with them so they are a novel character. Don't waste people's time with a character from a story you didn't care enough to write.
