Yeah, need more detail than that, and accurate identification of ethnicity...which is the problem with Web searches.

I'm fine with buying a book (actually prefer such), just don't know which are recommended.

There is a site that overlaid tons of faces to create averages, and they did it by country and gender. So if you google image search "average face by country" you will find tons of images (they don't appear to be on the actual site anymore, but have been rehosted on tons of other sites). Here's an example: http://nedhardy.com/2014/05/30/average-human-face-looks-like-every-country/

I think they did more though than just the ones that were rehosted on that link. Search around a bit.

Actually I'd be interested too. A lot of the time there is so much PC bullshit around the concept of ethnicities... it really gets in the way!

Probably because it is easier to get data from European countries? I'm not sure what methods they used to collect the photos, but I imagine it would be difficult to get enough photos from small isolated African countries where internet isn't really a thing.

Nigeria alone has like 83975984 different ethnicities with different facial structures, but they just defaulted to grouping all of West Africa together. Unreliable chart if you're planning on drawing people who aren't white.
