Can't get myself motivated to get shit done anymore.

How do you motivate yourself to draw.

I usually come home from work in the evening, eat and then sleep until I have to get up to got to my shitty job again. On the weekends I give my best to spend as much time as possible on drawing but even after a couple of months I don't seem to make any progress.

I don't own a camera to show you one of my pictures but pic related I pretty much how far I am lol

It's not how much time you spend on drawing, but how you spend the time you have.

I own "Perspective Made Easy" by E.R.Norling and "Succesful Drawing" by A. Loomis which I am working with most of the time. Sometimes I just sit down and try to draw something with the things I learned.

Is it a lack of motivation, or anxieties that are keeping you from working?

i only have about an hour of time to practice and i can see myself improving each day

the feel is real OP

Remember the reason why you even want to draw in the first place.

Theres that old anecdote:
>A man plays piano beautifully
>a witness exclaims, "I wish I could play piano like you!"
>The pianist replies "No you don't."
>the witness exclaims back, "What are you talking about!?"
>The pianist then explains that if the person would have truly loved to play piano, they would already.

Basically what I am trying to say is that you don't really want to draw, otherwise you wouldn't have this crisis. Ask yourself, do you actually want to draw?

no

op you're better off just keeping it a hobby if you like it, or find a better job which leaves you with more time.
otherwise just get a wimin/play vidya till you die.

literally the only thing that got me back into drawing was I made a bunch of autistic friends and I wanted to commemorate their autism so I picked it back up.

You draw because you want to, not out of obligation.

Now practice, you do that out of obligation, not because you want to.

I draw because I have no friends, and I think that drawing is much more interesting than playing video games..... ...

This. Right here. I love to paint. I do it regularly and learning the basics. If you truly want something you'll go for it regardless of circumstances and you'll find a way to be good at it. Period. Its not up to us op, its up to you.
