How do I render like this? What are good practices to help get my rendering to this level?

Don't take into account the local value of stuff, don't study metal or any other surface texture, just shade randomly while still following forms.

What ur asking is a non question but you ask it anyway... you mean if by magic obtained from advice here, there is a slight chance you may have an insight into how to render at "this Level" whatever that level may be ...
this level is painstakingly obtained by devoting time and brain power and attention to detail and knowing how not to quit when you want to quit because you become a cry baby by complaining that you have been drawing allot and now it needs to happen... now. ok
1. draw lots of references
2.draw some more refferences before you even think of drawing from imogenination because you have to express your wonderous ideas that only you can come up with because everyone else is dull in their desire for awesomeness :)
3.record and break down your drawing behaviour and calibrate according to thousands of online videos by really good artists ...
4 follow your own bliss
I hope this helps

When faggots stop asking others to post their work as some substitute for critical thinking or proper debate.

But people only ever ask others for their work when the person in question is acting like an insufferable idiot and makes dumb claims that he needs to back up with his work, otherwise they should be dismissed.

So posturwork-faggots can't even refute "dumb claims" logically?

Cute.

Lets take a look at >>2087732

Is it wrong? Sounds right to me,. There's a distinct lack of high contrast on the sword, and everything does seem to be about the same local value. Its well rendered but that anon has a point, regardless of how mad/jelly he sounded.

I'm just saying "posturwork" dumbs down any sort of discourse on this board. turning any discussion into a dick measuring contest lmao. Notice how most of them hide behind the artist that an anon is critiquing, its always

>oh lets see you do better

Instead of

>im better than you and youre wrong

Which could be easily demonstrated by actually dropping some knowledge and facts on the other anon, or by posting their own work. The distinct lack of this seems to imply that posturwork faggots are complete garbage both on a skill and knowledge level, and hide behind whatever artist they're defending.

tl:dr = post ur work shits up threads
