I know there are Skype groups for animation and cartooning, but what about just a general /ic/ hangout for doing art and getting crits and comments? Unmotivated Losers is a little more formal than what I'm looking for, I just want some people to hang out with when I'm doing art.

You should try to make your own group, and in the meantime, you can hang out on the permanoobs hangout(if you have a sketchbook on the forum, that is) and the level up hangout.

Nah, I'll get flak but we were a bunch of people who met under Sleepycabin. I'm the one asshole of the group who uses ToonBoom while everyone else uses Flash. I'm still learning how to get better at animation but being in a group with people better than you are can help a lot.
