Made some gifs of Kikurage's drawing process. These might be useless unless you slow them down/play them frame by frame.

Oh fuck off with this dumb shit already. Construction is there to HELP you, not arbitrary hinder you. If you can show volume, decent perspective, proportions etc without any construction, then fucking do it. But clearly you can't because otherwise you wouldn't ask such a dumb fucking question. If you can't even draw well using construction, you will never in a million years be able to draw well without construction. Cosntruction makes drawing EASIER, not harder.

i was messing around in one of those websites where you draw online with other people. since i didnt care much about drawing things right i started drawing stuff without construction. of course i was just drawing dicks and silly looking characters, but the drawings looked more fluid and i finished them 10x faster

im just wondering that if i did that all the time id be getting faster results and say fuck all to vilppu/loomis and say hello to mark crilley

Kikurage does use construction lines where he needs to. He still draws a guide line for the eyes, for example. The speed of the videos may be giving you the wrong impressions. Focus on the fact that he develops a detailed sketch with a lot of corrections and tweaks before starting on his final lines.

He obviously has tons of mileage and internalized knowledge.

>> No.1939679

>>1939642
Once again: Using construction and guidelines are TOOLS to make things EASIER for you and to help you visually understand the object you are drawing in 3 dimensional space and perspective.

Draw however the fuck you want, I don't give a shit. But if your perspective sucks ass, it might be a good idea to use perspective guidelines. If your drawings look flat and you suck at foreshortening, better try to break them down into 3dimensional, simplified shapes. If your proportions suck ass, use fucking guidelines. It's not rocket science, really.

Because it's not an archive, it's basically compressed data of every stokes(x,y coordination, pen type, color, etc).

Drawr doesn't store a video file.
What we have are the mouse's positions and other activities in each point in time.

If the gz file is decoded and formatted in a readable way, it would look like this
https://cryptbin.com/6jugRh#739dd9179ab46c6c889ec566c51b3525
but with 30k blocks of data instead of 100.

With these, you can write a script(or edit the code in the swf file) to construct each frame and render them to a video.

I'm not really fluent with ActionScript and it might take me a few weeks to get it done, but I'd rather spend the time studying Loomis.
