What does /ic/ think of Kim?
His ability to draw without reference is very impressive.

He and I work similarly in that I just create as I draw, but his themes and drawings are all things that can be compared to things in real life while mine are mostly abstract with a few real life components. Very skillful. Almost mechanical in execution.

I have his latest comic book Spy Games and it's pretty average. Clearly he can only express himself at best when he is doing those fish-eye sketches that are all about the same. He just changes the subject. The feelings he transmits are the same.

No thanks. I can admit he has a great technical skill that let him doing very fast accurate illustrations crowded of people, but that's it.

I prefer someone that maybe is less talented for live shows and prefers to spend years and years to create a real masterpiece.

>you will never produce something containing a mere fraction of his quality of work.

That is a pretty weak argument. I never compared myself with him.

>look through his pieces again, his ideas are rich and varied. maybe you could learn something

He just changes the subject. Some animals, soldiers, students, tigers, people inside a taxi etc...It's just not very interesting thanks.

Another argument that doesn't make any sense. Do I need to be a cook to judge a restaurant? Do I need to be a top tennis player to judge a match?
Do I need to be an architect to judge a house?

I also admitted his skill is very good. Showing my work wouldn't change anything.

You don't need to be all of those to give an opinion, but you do need to have knowledge in the matter if you want to provide valid judgement/critique.
Else your statement would sound empty and slightly pointless to the more experienced crowd.

You don't, but if some shitty amateur was trying to tell a great professional tennis player what he should be doing differently, then his opinion will be worthless and he should not be taken seriously.

What kind of stupid argument is this? There's no need to explain why a tennis player is good, everyone can plainly see it in his performance whether or not he's good. Just like how everyone can see how KJG is a great artist.
