try not to stick to reality so much, the essence of art is in the proper application of the elements of principals of design. this is a desperate attempt at 'realism' in a medium which simple doesn't need it. here's a paint-over emphasising the proper qualities of painting.

i heard this was the place to get some work done for free, /r/ sent me.

can anyone draw me an eagle breaking a pièce of wood in superslomo with all kinds of wood flying around as he transcends into supersaiyanaquila mode? maybe some fire, and a phoenix cheering him on.

it's for a school project but i don't know how to draw. everybody with good grades already knows how to draw, that's not fair right?

>> No.1852251

Is anyone else having trouble being too content with their art and generally finding the whole art profession way too easy? I think the lack of complaints and criticism you find here (and everywhere else, really) is reflective of a serious problem among artists that might be holding us back.

Like most of us, I got a full ride at a good art school, and had a real hard time wading through the job offers afterwards. I settled for a AA game studio because they had the hottest secretaries, but it was tricky keeping that many women sexually satisfied while producing quality work. After learning to work with that (admittedly common) handicap, I haven’t had much of a challenge lately. I can’t find anything to improve on now that I’ve gotten good.

Lately I’ve been working on a few experimental digital techniques with some custom hardware I’ve developed. Unfortunately, there aren’t any commercially available computers capable of rendering any of my dynamic paintings, let alone VR headsets with enough resolution to view them properly. The FDA won’t approve any of my neurostimulation prototypes for clinical trials either. It’s frustrating being able to see and paint with pigments in the ultraviolet and infrared spectrums and have no one else be able to appreciate them.

My girlfriend thinks worrying about this is silly, and my wife agrees with her. I just don’t think they understand what it’s like when you get good. You get too good ;_;
