I'm extremely new to art in that I've never pursued drawing before. I have had an interest in drawing for a long time and I finally got the initiative to go and make a blog.

I just wanted to share my blog here for critique and publicity, since I just got started.

If you knew you're a beginner and that you're not good, what made you think people would enjoy you charging in without reading the sticky?

If this is a serious post, you're not at the level where you need critique yet, an especially not publicity. Practice, or at the very least, have fun with what you do. You shouldn't be sharing yet or trying to become famous, especially if you have almost no material an no knowledge of any sort of fundamentals.

Sorry if it sounds mean, but frankly put, I don't think you know how this works yet. I don't want to turn you off drawing, but you're definitely heading in the wrong direction so far. Now go practice.

Are you drawing from this book? I had it for a while before I returned it to the library.

No, actually...
This is completely freehand, but it's interesting there's a book about pretty much this.

Maybe you could color it.

I planned on it, but I'm postponing it. I would need to acquire coloring tools or learn to use a digital editor to make lineart.

Which I wouldn't mind either, but yeah.

Surprising seeing this here, my friend actually showed me this earlier.

When you don't know how to draw something (like a knife or football), actually go look up what they really look like and study them. Then you can draw something that resembles those things instead of lumps and labeling them "football", "deflated football", "knife" etc.

At least put in the effort to learn about how to draw those things, man.

You asked in your blog how to make things look younger

It's about the proportions. Measure the height in heads. If you want to make something look younger you'd have it 2 heads tall instead of, say, 3. There's a lot more to it, and I really think you should start with the sticky.

You're really inconsistent with things like the shape of body parts.

Holy hell this is cute. I love it. OP, you should know that there are times when the style lends to the narrative. I don't think you necessarily _need_ critique at this stage, I'd just tell you to try to enjoy the process of drawing, always push yourself, and never give up.

Wow, seems like it spread pretty fast then.

I thought I knew how to draw a 2D football until I tried. Then I just lazed about for the other items.

Thanks a lot!
