It's so hot here recently, I thought I'd try to find some art to take my mind off it.

What are your favorite painting that have a lot of ice or snow in them? Are there any painters that specialized in "icescapes"?

This beautiful watercolor is by Edward Adrian Wilson, the Antarctic explorer who participated in the terrifying winter expedition later known as "The Worst Journey In The World". He died shortly after in the ill-fated Scott expedition to the South Pole

This painting by Dollman is also related to the expedition.

It depicts Lawrence Oates, who was in the Scott Polar Expedition. He was injured and ill, and knew that he going to die soon. Instead of slowing down the expedition he instead walked out into the blizzard alone, where he froze to death.

I'm looking it up and evidently Wilson had a good deal of beautiful watercolor polar art

Most of it was only recently rediscovered though, so I can only find tiny resolutions.
