Why should i, i am most poor of poorfags and i do a little progress. I like art, but it seems too hard for me. I kinda envy people who train decades for gaining still shit skills, at least they are busy.

It's funny how I know if I don't start drawing, I'll never get good. Yet, I keep wasting my time on the internet or reading books/comics.

>> No.1808903

>>1808866
I was the same until about a week ago. Just make yourself fill up a page each day, even with doodles. No time limit, no certain stretches of drawing, just that utensil to the paper. After a while, see what you want to improve on, and look up those books to help. Then use that one "page a day" time to do studies and read drawing books.

This proved VERY effective for me.

Skim through figure drawing for what it's worth.
Don't bother with the illustration for children books.

Copy the diagrams until you understand what the exercise is about and then move on to the next.

The book quickly goes through perspective, proportions, rendering values and other things.
if you have a basic idea of those concepts you can move on to more difficult exercises.

Not sure if /ic/ agrees with me on this one.
but its a good overview of what drawing is about.
All in one book. you know? That's why /ic/ is pushing the loomis so hard.

So skim it, and if there's something you don't understand you know: That's something I need to learn.

Loomis is the moderator of this board. He is also a long dead samurai spirit that tells you to introspect and study your soul, so you can find your inner mangaka and become japanese for real. Then you will travel to Japan and become one with the glorious anime industry and suck cocks forever.

Serious answer: Read the sticky. Andrew Loomis has a book that is considered by many a pretty good resource for the absolute beginner. Check it out. Though remember to take every tutorials ever with grains of salt. Everybody learns differently. Find the ones that are most effective to you
