I am a first time poster on /IC/.
I come to you in a great time of distress.
I lost it.
I lost my first sketch pad.
This Sketch pad had the first of many drawings that I was actually proud of.
What do I do?
Drawing is a part of my life, one thing I know I do is draw,I don't even know if I'm a artist I just like to draw.
Help me /IC/.
I feel like a lost of piece of me I can never get back.
Please help me.

You're only going to piss off a d/ic/k and call you a faggot, OP. This trivial thread of yours will accomplish nothing.

See the picture? You wouldn't want to piss him off now would you :3

Disregard the sketchpad and keep drawing. In a matter of months, anything your former sketchpad would contain will look like shit compared to your newer shit.

How does one go about losing such a big fucking' thing, anyway?

Get over it. Buy a new one and sketch in that. Nothing you draw matters.

>> No.1562935

This thread is pointless. Maybe you should take a picture of your room and maybe we'll be able to point it out to you. Otherwise: fuck off.

Welcome, and please read the Sticky if it's not already done. Full of stuff and advices.

>What do I do?

You use another one, obviously.

I can feel your pain, I've lost things I was attached to, but the best thing to do in your case is to take a new one, and begin anew.

See it on the bright side, it's a new thing, you can make it your own. Make it a personal project, or a portfolio, have fun.

At least it wasn't full with lewd gay drawings.

I like this one a lot. The second character is just adorable, us d/ic/ks should try to visualize newbies like that and maybe we'd stop parroting loomis and sticky eventually

That's /i/-tan. She's inexperienced and refuses to listen to her older brother, /ic/-tan. She's naive, innocent and means no trouble, but she has a huge penis fixation. /ic/-tan just wishes she'd not be such a fuck up and read more Loomis.

It sucks, but what's worth much more than the drawings is the progress you made. You've got it in you, now. If you've done it once, you can do it again. But next time you outdo yourself.

Does a singer lose a part of himself when he sings? Music is a collection of fleeting moments. Us visual artists can learn from that. Don't get too attached to a single performance. Enjoy it for what it is, then move on, knowing you have that performance in you. On the bus, in line at the grocery store, always. You carry with you your brain, the muscles in your arm and the skill you gleaned sketch after sketch.

Who cares if you lost part of yourself. Your fourteen-year-old self is also gone. Do you want that back? Evolve.

I've been missing out. I should have paid more attention to this board along the way

Just scan all your shit or take pictures next time. I've lost or given away most of my work, don't care at all. You should derive your pleasure from the act of creating-- the chase.
