why could my photoshop be lagging?

it's never been this bad. the image isn't even large and nothing else except chrome and a webradio is consuming cpu.

fuuuck this is killing my study drive

photoshop is notorious for lag, what version do you have? older versions are fucking horrid for it, especially if you have anything flash running in the background.

hm so i guess turning off chrome might be the solution? because shit how am i supposed to work without my french jazz webradio or cgma interview in the background :(

will try though, i guess it's worth it if it helps. i'm using cs6 so it should probably run fine?

Check what background programs you're running and close anything unnecessary.

How in the hell can you have 32gb of ram? Most computers only have up to 12.

He wasted money and got 4x 8gb or something. Completely useless for photoshop, hell for almost anything unless it's a server or heavy duty 3d rendering.

I hope at least he got an SSD.

Mine's capable of having that much. I just don't, because as anon said,
>Completely useless for photoshop, hell for almost anything unless it's a server or heavy duty 3d rendering.

I'd argue that it isn't completely useless, but it is a bit excessive.
