You are drawing spheres a bit too loosely to get the most out of the exercise. It's not just about the shape itself, but correctly placing the poles on them (North, South, East, West, Up, Down). 6 directions, 6 sides, 3 sets of converging or parallel lines.

The intersection of these lines within the sphere is really more important. They don't align well in your drawings. Focus on that first.

The shoulders were uneven and stuck out too far on the right (left shoulder). The left arm was jutting out far too much and was a too short (the rule of thumb I use for arm length is that your wrist is around where your crotch is). The body is also too big in comparison to the head and the neck.

It's all about line weight. I'm still learning too but unconditional thick lines throughout the entire drawing won't emphasize certain contours or create illusions of tangents, overlaps and shadows that you want.

Honestly, how man hours have you sunk into this? I don't even know and I still know the answer is too many. I don't want to shit on you too hard becase you're better than most others in these threads but holy SHIT dude, I don't even think I have enough free time in a day to make a list of everything wrong with this. Sorry this is lengthy.

Your coloring ability is decent (though skin could use lighter, warmer colors and be less monochrome brown) and I'm glad you have the will to finish a picture but there are more pressing matters to attend to as the previous anon said.

-Honestly, having the girls jump was a bad idea, especially if your expressions, gestures and anatomy don't complement the action. I would have much preferred if they were on a stage floor and the center girl was pointing up and singing as the ship took off in the back. Right now it looks like she's floating and dancing in the air.
-Girl on the left seems like her body is twisting dangerously, especially since the direction of the feet and knees don't make sense (it's like she's jumping backwards while facing forward).
-Their expressions aren't adding anything. Try to jump and have an expression like the center girl and find yourself awkwardly forcing it.
-Flow of the hair is random. Even if the blast from the ship is blowing air towards them, the strands would not act like that.
-As for lighting, it would be a much stronger piece if this were taking place at night with concert lights (assuming this is an idol theme) or amidst a sunset. Right now, the lighting is random because I'm assuming you don't have much knowledge of light direction.

Do what the anon said: don't polish this anymore, recognize your mistakes, leave this piece alone and go learn fundamentals like gesture, form and anatomy.

Don't go overboard with it. Think of the hair as just another form. You can give some indications of hair texture a little later.

Also, if you don't want to include the lines, try just turning the opacity down on the line layer so that you can still kind of see them as guidelines.

I've read plenty of books that discuss proper paneling and theory, but the only consistent thing through all of them, and the only thing that I truly picked up on naturally and appreciated as a reader, is the flow of panels and word balloons. That is achieved through their arrangement more than anything else. Ironically, they all have gesture, just like figure drawing. If you drew a line between all the panels, you'd notice they all cascade down in S curves. They almost never bounce the reader up and down. Eyes take the path of water.

Word balloons are much the same. Even within panels, the balloons tend to cascade.

Most of the other things you watch out for a purely technical. Proper trim and bleed, not placing dialogue too close to the spine, always being aware of which side the spine will be on (obviously this gets flipped for western left-to-right books), knowing ISO sizes, etc. The real artistry is in the panel flow and the cinematography within the panels.

So I been learning to draw the proper way by drawing from life, studying anatomy and figure drawing.

You needed somebody to point out the obvious? You didn't even present your work or problem clearly, and you swallowed their advice without question. The relines are nothing more than "work on your fundamentals" and "you're doing it wrong". You could have gotten that from any drawthread. Where's the "right direction" that's unique to this kind of thread?

Well I guess if your unsure of what direction you're looking for or just don't know what you're doing, then any feedback no matter how tripe or misleading or disinformative, will be a point in the "right direction".

Just because I don't question the advice given doesn't mean I accept them with certainty. I think am capable of differentiating genuine advice from misleading information. My fundamentals need work and without others to spot my mistakes it will waste me a lot more time to try and figure them out myself.

I tend to know what I am doing, an eventual level of skill I want to achieve. These threads just help me get there quicker.

Same anon that "helped" you before, here. This is much better, but still not what I would call good. Clipping the eye means that her head is facing away from us, with her eyes looking at us. That's really cute, but can only go so far. I mean, try it. It hurts after a bit. She only has to be facing us a little bit more for it to make more sense. Also her mouth and nose just looked a little... weird. Oh well. Sorry I don't make much sense.
