Nah, he's a pretty decent guy. He does livestreams for a while and is pretty open. He used to get ate up from time to time and shut down the stream suddenly due to his confidence and shit. They might praise Sargent and Zorn, but they won't all be painting like them because Sargent and Zorn are top tier virtuoso gods.

A super simple, overtly and specifically stylized cartoon approach can lose its charm really quickly when you see it all the time, everywhere, done by everybody. It's like if you eat only mac & cheese for decades on end, eventually you're going to never want to eat it again, no matter how good it once seemed.

I kind of see details as part of the lighting process though since light is what indicates them. learn lighting, it's very key. applies to everything like perspective and forms do. but lighting is really what gives it life and makes things easier to indicate.

Curiously, what's appealing about my art to you folk anyways? I'm sure I make plenty of grievous errors that /ic/ could rip me a new asshole with.

Well, I can't speak for everyone here, but I personally love the expressions and line work. You suffer from bad anatomy from time to time but it's nothing to serious, and in general your drawings are all very entertaining(and very fappable imo). You also draw a righteous set of hips. You have a very unique and colorful style. Everything feels very solid and your shading is great.
