Back at it with a penxil drawing cause i was out to lunch. Not the best but digital is way easier to do than traditional. Took about 45 minutes.
Forgive the shameless bumping btw, i believe an exercise for art is much better than the endless threads of squawking, envy, ai, "how do i...", and get rich quick schemes.

Back again with an hour long drawing. I always loved the jungle dinosaur and cave man pulp ideas. I also am not a fan of the current obsession with feathers on every dinosaur. I much prefer the more reptilian form for large dinosaurs. I even enjoy drawing many theropods having crocodilian lile scutes on their necks as a way to protect themselves from other theropods and aggressive mates.

One thing i forgot to mention and would like to improve is the texture of my drawings i do not like how muddy my shading is, but im not sure i completely a fan of cell shading and similar styles either. I like how manga ink work looks but that is just a genteral statement as i dont have an exact style in mind. Not to mention that there are plenty of incredible greyscale inked western works. I suppose we shall see.

This was a very quick 30 minute sketch. It is not great in its executions, as i dont know how to draw cute girls. But i do like the composition and the lighting well enough. Another hope of mine is to draw the female form with ease and without a need for ecxessive adjustments in order for the form to be usable

Back again and this one took 2 hours. 1hour for the line work and the other for shading. I an really happy how this turned out, but i would like to be able to half the time it takes to produce a piece like this in due time. I used a wide variety of tools on this piece, not something i usually do. I have a stigma on using a wide variety of tools for some reason and i dont know exactly why. I guess it is because i feel that it is too complicated, just as i dont like to useing a bunch of layers.
I like those dramatic old movies if you couldnt tell, but i suppose i like the story that singular frames and movie posters can tell. S o much drama and passion in a single moment. Sometimes i feel more for that single second than an entire film!

Back again, with another half baked sketch, and it took about an hour. I am a bit frustrated i didnt get the time i wanted to really hammer out a drawing, but at least i did something i suppose.
The intent behind it was what i imagine 621 from ac6 would look like. I am not familiar with the particular enhancement augmentations and what they look like in the series, but i imagine it to be plug ins that help connect the users nervous system to their mech, hence the need for wires, especially since 621 is a type 4, an older model.
I love the game and the bosses in it, even if they give me a spanking. Im not a hardcore fromsoft player, i only have beaten the first third of bloodeborne. But ac6 is the easiest game from them ive played and the most rewarding without ripping my dick off. I think that is in large part to the 3 dimentional movement, and the missions are short. I dont have to worry about losing all my progress and currency to a cheapshot at low health, i merely have to start the mission again, and i dont have to commit hard to a build that i dont know i will like or not. It is the most fun i had playing video games in literal years. A shame i wasnt able to express that feeling through my art today.

While i am disappointed in my lack of completing projects, as I might have mentioned before, i am happy that i feel that my skills are still increasing with each project. Hopefully soon, i can grow even more confident in my lines and i can whip out drawings even faster.
This picture is based off the pixie armadillo. A short story i made along side her is that she is jealous of other fairies and pixies running around and having fun in the forrests. Her job is to be a guardian to the skiddish and stupid armadillos and other desert wildlife. In time, she gets over herself and learns to love herself and her job.

Back again with another one friends. This took me about an hour and a half to get where i am.
I am getting a bit sloppy with how i manage my time. Though if i am honest, i was much too over confident in my abilities with this piece. I was thinking about having a princess mononoke style background with tree and harsh lighting and shit, and i burned through my first hour wondering if i should draw in pencil or ink tool. I would lile to learn inking, because of its striking contrast, but i like the soft transition and texture of pencil. Regardless, i chose ink as you can see. I am quite happy with theresult, but my problem is i simply dont know how to sketch with it. So maybe i lay down a fat pencil base, and then try to steady my inking skill and speed. At least i hope that works?

Back again friends with another sketch. This took about an hour and a half to get to this point.
I wanted to make a game that, I suppose was inspired by the game Dantes inferno, if only a bit. A knight would be in hell for his sins of vengeance and greed but willingly accepts his fate as he know he deserves his punishment. However, Satan attacks heaven and captures 2/3s of it including the archagels, the old testament heros and Jesus himself. Satan places a mind curse on them to serve the unholy host.
Meanwhile, the templar is free'd from his chains in hell by a little angel and they set off to free the heavens. Along the way, the meet a bishop who is also cursed to hell for commiting suicide, and accidentally murdering his unrequited love. He serve as a guide through hell and a resource manager in the knights backpack.
Just a dream game, but i love the idea of freeing your holy savior from the clutches of evil as the ultimate form of martyrdom and forgiviness.

Back again friends. This one tookabout an hour to complete. While i am not a fan of my skill, or lack there of, I am happy about the sort of flowthat i have developed for myself. Extra rough sketch to start, then semi clean sketch to feel out the form and such, inks as i want to learn inking despite my lack of skill for it, and finally shading.
>>7165297
I appreciate the enthusiasm, friend! I wouldnt be suprised if people would find the idea of slaying heros of the bible to be a bit off. I might as a believer, myself. That being said, the logic is since the soul is eternal, to kill heavenly figure who is cursed would be to free their soul from it and send them back to paradise. The knight would be disheartened for slaying of good people, but realizes that in order to be merciful, it must be done. I think it would be cool to pick up an artifact from each of these heroic boss fights too, such as getting samson's jawbone club and david's sling and use them to slay demons and sinners while freeing the heavenly host (with violence.) I would like to add that the jesus boss fight would be a fake out. Since Jesus is sinless, and the curse causes one to follow the whims of evil, it would cause jesus to stay in a frozen state, unable to anything. Satan would not have any problem in this, as it keeps his adversary out of his way. When you go to "fight" Jesus ,you would slay him in one hit. Kind of like when he was speared during his cruxafiction. This will bring forth a disgusted Satan, and the real final boss fight would begin!

There's some talking about the fact that the "God of War" series of games may have that same issue. Kratos already went against the greek, roman, and nordic gods. Can they do the same with christian figures, or hindu, or islam?

About the issue, if the sacred figure of christ, or whatever angel or saint may be, is trapped and possessed inside a physical representation, that would be like idolatry, that blasphemous thing must be destroyed, and the enslaved spirit liberated. So you should be allowed to fight that idol representation and crush it to pieces with righteous violence. That could be a way out to solve the "political issue". I bet these are the kind of conversations that must be happening in the directive board of those companies making games, with a team of lawyers and theosophical experts LMAO.

Back again friends. This one took 35 minutes to make. I am very happy with how this came out.
Recently, i had seen one of you in a progress thread claiming to toss out a very well done 20 minute sketch. To say i was impressed was to say the least! It only showed how much more i need to grow as an artist. While i think i can draw some subjects reasonably well, i always take a devistating amount of time to get there. So much time wasted on the little details that only matter to me, the artist. I hope in doing this exercise everyday, i become more confident and accurate in my choices. So to make a reasonable with even a slight bavkground made me feel quite proud!
>>7167463
That is a good solution if it must come down to it. If i could, however, i would try to have it be that the player does "kill" them. (Once killed they will turn to ash and blow away back to their chosen destination. For the blessed that would be at heaven's gate, and the damned would emerge from the eternal lake of fire. I think this would allow for the player to feel righteous resentment especially if each holy boss gives an attaboy to the knight once they are killed. The game ultrakill allowed the player to feel a kind of kinship with the souls of hell, and i want something similar, and especially a parallel resentment to the archangel at the end, with satan!

Hello again friends. In this challenge, I have learned to accept some things for the way they are. A confession i must make, is that I have been commissioned to create monsters (my favorite thing to draw) but my indecisiveness has led me to stall finishing these for months now. While at the moment the work i am doing is for free, i am disgusted by my lack of progess and, at times, skill. In pic rel, the left head has been bothering me FOREVER. I just couldnt properly attach it to the rest of the worm. However, i gave myself an hour to simply do the best i could with the placement and called it done when the hour was over. Now i have to clean up the piece and move on the next part. Perhaps the commissioner can find someone to perfect it? But thats okay, im still learning and will get better. No exercise today, just an hour on this.

Back again friends. This sketch took 35 mins to make. I suppose the objective was to purposely make an awkward pose and see how my skill would get me through. It seems i am lacking in knowledge in regards to the foreshortening of the legs in a knee emphasized pose and i dont particularly know how the arm looks when raised above the head such as to club something down. I felt that i needed to forus on the face too, which ate up a lot of my time. I know a particular meme of "constructoids" have developed here, but if i dont know how the body works in its entirety, i get results like this! I cant always guess and make work things i dont understand, you know? Oh well, I did not want to draw at all today, but i feel like i am accomplishing something by keeping the thread alive. To express anonamously has a kind of feeling to it that i cannot describe but do enjoy.
>>7176333
I'll be honest friend, I'm not sure that I have the answer youre looking for. Though I try my best to be a good person, i have many unfortunate flaws in my character. I have a persistant porn addiction, and i can easily eat enough for two adults. I am prone to hatred and anger under some circumstance, while sheepish and cowardly in others. And even here i get more than upset at the occasional dimwhitted anon (often thats me too.) Not to sound corny, but I have experienced things that I cannot explain, and so I feel I must try, that includes ditching my addictions and becoming something He and my loved ones can be proud of.
I suppose to really answer your question is this, there is a lot of horrible things done and said here, but there is near literal pearls in this pig pen as well. To not only find them and use them is worth it, at least for now. In fact, being here is the reason why I started the challenge. If i want to get better, i must draw. It may seem obvious, but sometimes we need a sign of some kind right?

Back again firends, this one took me an hour to finish.
I very much love dinosaurs. There is a certain mystique to their primitive nature and robust figures. Perhaps what i like most is they function as ancient beasts that we never will know or see truely, and exist only through our imagination. On an unrelated note, i always have hated oviraptors. Lol something about how sniveling they seemted with their gangly appearance and those two silly fangs in their mouth. Dont mind other potential egg theif species nearly as much either. A strange stigma, i know.

Back again friends. This pic took an hour to make.
Where to even start? At a glance, i am happy with how this came out. Emphasis on "at a glance." I like the over all shape and composition of this piece. I was happy with the face, it is hansome and not over done as i tend to do. The hair wasnt too bad either, and my hand was only slightly shakey while inking. For a guy that doesnt normally like drawing legs and shoes, i feel pretty good abot those too.
That being said, the anatomy is atrocious, and it is a shame because i know how to draw a male torso. Perhaps i need to go back to practicing, and dont get me started on those arms and hands! Perhaps i will post on the /beg/ thread and see if a kind anon will redline me.

Back again friends with another sketch. This one took 30 mins to draw.
I must admit, it is honestly more akin to desperately drawing something than anything. I am very tired, and i think i my eating habits are the culprit to it. I hope you can forgive me friends, starting next week, i will try not to constantly be racing against the clock, and rather take my studoes more seriously. I would also like to thank the anon in the beg thread for cleaning up yesterdays drawing. It was humbling experience and i wish to get at least as good as him in the future. Cheers.

Back again friends. After some good rest. I felt a lot better. And here this one took 1 & 1/2 hours.
I believe the reason it took so long,(as most of it was done in the first hour) was indecision. I did not know what i wanted out of the skirt, in particular. Only in hind sight do i realize what the skirt would do in that position. I tried to make her slightly crossing her legs, is that communicated well? Perhaps i could have fixed her lower foot at an angle that would have better demonstrated this. This was fun though, i dont draw women well too often so im glad how this turned out.
On another note, i love clowns! I have always loved them ever since i was a child. I never found them scary, though i did not see IT as a clown either. The just seem like silly people that want to make a better place with their goofiness, and i love em for it. Happy, sad, hobo, pretty, i think they're neat!

Back again friends. I must admit, tgis took me some 2 hours to do. And it isnt even finished!
As i have come to find, as with many of the ills of my life it came down to indecision. I wanted this really cool mix of samus armor, the robots from the movie chappie, and the tv robot from FLCL. And while i am happy with the helmet, glove, and tripod midsection, i find the chestplate bland and the pelvis confusing. Im not too mad though, im not great with machinery anyway, i just need more practice.

Hello friend, its not a strict rule, because some of the drawings i posted made as a result on burning time coming up with concepts to draw, sketching, and then starting over. I believe it is more about just getting your drawing exercise in for a day for a short period of time rather than not drawing at all. Have fun! Draw badly, draw from imagination, draw a reference image. Dont think too hard, just draw!

Back again friends, this one took me 1 hour to complete.
I suppose you would call her an oc of sorts. Really, i get so hung up about drawing my own characters because i want them to be perfect in every sense. And when i draw them, they do not live up to my expectation. However, since taking the time attack challenge, i feel i can just accept things i cannot change, mainly my skill, and actually draw. I had fun trying a couple of new things too. I dont usually do clothing wrinkles cause they dont make much sense to me, but here they dont look too bad! Her design is loosely based off of Launch from dragonball. Just a sort of adventurous attire.
She is part of a pair of protagonists for a story I'd like to make in the future. If you'd care to partake in my ramblings, heres a bit about her.
In the near future of 2004, mankind has recently discovered space travel and is following its steady destiny of conquring the solar system. Venus, as it turns out, was not a molten wasteland, but a hot terribly humid planet ruled by dinosaurs! How? Because! Dr. Belle Onde is a fresh graduate of Venian Biology and is on her way to the planet to study the wildlife and assist the human colonies of Venus in how to manuver through the delicate and dangerous ecosystems.
She presents herself as a professional, but is quick to fluster. While she loves nature and isnt afraid to get her hands dirty, she adores being pampered and can get squeemish around crawlies. She is a snob around her appointed guide and bodyguard, Bruce, but is always quick to help in anyway she can, whether it is medical assistance or a bit of team work. Maybe I'll draw him tomorrow and post abit more! Or not. We'll see lol

Back again friends, and i did end up drawing the other oc, Bruce. He took about an hour, i admit i didnt keep hard track today.
His design is loosely based off of the 2008 turok game, a personal favorite game of mine. Please forgive some of his more choppy bits okay? Lol
Anyway, Bruce Nette is a grunt of the space core. He is short tempered but also quick to ease as he hates to be seen as a fool. Always available for a good time and has heart that bleeds for adventure. It is the biggest reason he signed up to go to Venus in the first place. Mars is a safe, barren, mining colony, with nothing particularly interesting to explore. But Venus? There was jungle and danger at ever turn. He doesnt hate dinosaurs per se. But he has seen some of the people at the research camp he works at become unrecognisable, or worse.
He finds Belle to be a nag but is charmed by her ability to see the world with wonder. It lights his adventurous spirit and he is willing to anything to to keep it burning.

Back again friends, I had a moment of respite to draw today. This took me an hour and a half to finish.
I was never really a fan of elves. Dont know why, suppose it was because of the Tolkien interpretation of them where they are angelic and superior to the other races in everyway. I dunno just seemed like an eye roller. Lol
That being said, they are fun to draw! I had a lot of fun exaggurating her form and trying to make her as lithe as possible. Forgive me, as I am sure some elven conosuers will find her anatomy to be too masculine, and that is a fair critique. In trying to make her unusually long, i found it difficult to maintane her femininity, particularly in her shoulder structure.
But oh boy! I am so excited on how well i had made her clothes. I never was great at fabric, but this is some of the best I made in a good minute, and that inkwork! Sorry, enough backpats, it was just good to draw today. Tomorrow is surgery day, my mom's not mine, forgive me for not clarifying.

My tablet is fixed at the moment for reasons i dont understand. But i am not mad at it. In fact i wanted to test my skills and how they might have improved since I had switch to traditional. I am increasingly proud of how i draw womens faces and this picture is reason for this. I like the simplicity of the face while still communicating a seductive and appealing look.
I am not too sure on the rest of the anatomy, even i dont feel too bad about it. She maybe a bit too muscular in the shoulders. You know what i have noticed? I feel good while drawing and feel lime the picture is turning out well in the process, but when it is over and i have the "post drawing clarity," i find all the things i dont like about it. I must confess that i have not done actual studies in a long time. The reason being is that i want to be able to draw from imagination alone. I dont want to end up like Rockwell, god rest his soul, where i can draw but only when a reference is in front of me. I feel blessed for my current skill, but i would like to be better, especially when i have drawn pictures that felt so amazing to me, and when i try to replicate the style or even the drawing, or anything, that is what it feels like i am making, a cheap replica. I am a fan of donkey kong in general, but i am a particular fan of the old gameboy donkey kong game which newer titles call, mario vs donkey kong. I loved the worlds and designs of characters with the limitations of the time. I have not played mario vs dk, and only have watched a couple play throughs, but i sort of miss the stylistic charm of the original. I dont want to sound like a nostalgia hound, but everything from the backgrounds, the music, to even how mario died just seemed more charming. Anyway, that being said, i still like the most common dk design a lot too, epecially when they ramp up his expressions. Hes just a fun character in general.

Back again friends. This one has been my longest drawing yet. A very slow and steady 3 hours.
I really, really want to finish this drawing. She is one of my oldest ocs and one of the 6 protagonists in a comic i would like to create. Funny, for all the time ive been thinking of this story, some decade in fact, i never even gave her a name! How about...Alice! That sounds like a girl name for Ace, right? All this time ive been calling her sheriff, because thats her role in my story.
She is a military police officer who served for a walled city called The Garden. However, after getting too deep in the underbelly of the cities criminals she was banished to the outside, the wasteland. The official ruling of her fate is that she has been moved to "wasteland peacekeeping" a psuedo-charity job where the description is she tries to help the down trodden mutants that scrape by in the outside. But really, its just a life sentence that few ever come back from. Those that have had done so through improving the lives of the outside greatly (supposedly) and she hopes to do the same with the help of 5 other companions along the way.
It really is a cape story with a different coat of paint but i think itll be fun to make. I just didnt realize how daunting it would be if this single drawing took me 3whole hours, just to get where i am! I gotta get a move on or ill die before finishing the first chapter! Lol

Today you have AI, anyone can prompt a cool image and see their ideas come to life. But that's why I'm centering my attention on Flash, this is a level above of just "a cool image". Sound, interaction, re-scalability. That's still unreachable for AI's "artistic instant fast-food".
About OC's, actually my only "OC" would be that native girl "White Feather". I have in mind a second part, they reach the fort, she stands in front of the firing squad, but, of course she can have a last "wish"... lol. I need to finish a few other projects first though. Don't worry anon, you keep grinding your stuff, that's what matters. Build your little projects, that will keep you going for sure.

Back again friends. It took me about 45 mins to get this far.
Since i was so happy with how my first drawing came out, i thought i would draw another one of my ocs for my story posted here >>7214641 i need to work on the face more, but good first try
This is jack jones or his wastelander name Sol. He is based off of my best friend. In fact all the 6 protagonists are based off me and my closest group of friends from highschool. (I wonder if anyone can guess which on is my mary sue self insert?) There are little things in these characters that are similar to thier irl counterparts, but their own characters more so than anything else. Any way, let me get to the character.
Sol is a mutant of the wasteland and a fan favorite in a traveling wrestling group. He is an entertainer by nature and quite sociable, often seen as a casanova around women. However he is kind hearted and is convinced by Alice and her partner (who I will work on after this) to leave his life of celebrity comfort to help clean up the wasteland. He appears to be a highly muscular human, but he is powered by the sun and can lift several times his weight with a moderate healing factor. However, if he remains out of the sun for long periods of time, his strength and healing go away. In fact he is but a highly athletic human in every other sense once night falls for a few hours. Like a reverse vampire or something. In that time, he can bleed out or die, unless he can hang on until direct sunlight comes out again.
There is a certain sect of mutants that despise "human passing" mutants and he is a target as a traitor sorts for aiding "roaches" (derogatory term for people who are not mutated like cockroaches who are unaffected by radiation). Mutant features are favorable in the wasteland and some even take pride of their hideousness, and conventional human features are seen as weaknesses from a bygone age of mankind.

Back again friends. I have been working for 2 hours to get this far.
I call this one, "For the One Who Had It All, It Wasn't Enough" a bit preachy and artsy fartsy sure. Lol But i think its a fun title. I like to think that the "horns" that are depicted on devils and demons are actually broken halos. A kind of mark of their fall from grace that announces it to all who see it.
I tell you friends, leg muscles are no joke! I may not be the best at arm muscles, but at least if i look at a reference, i can make sense of it! When i look at references of lega however, particularly on anatomical references, i just cant get it to click. I just reckon i need more practice is all. But sheesh! Lol

Back again friends! This one took 2 hours to do.
I am really happy with how this one turned out! I was inspired by the dark fantasy thread here and i encourage you all to give it a look and try drawing a cool image yourself! Ill admit, they really nailed the grungy look and i still cant compare but this was a lot of fun to draw. I also apologise if it seems like i am drawing a lot of kneeling characters or resting arm on the knee. It is a fairly simple, dynamic pose that looks cool when drawn right. But perhaps if i start a new drawing tomorrow, i will try a different pose. We'll see!

Keeping in the theme of dark fantasy, i tried drawing an enchantress coaxing the viewer to dance with her. Dont reference it, just draw the stuff you remember of the top of your head. There will be differences, and that will be from your imagination! As i said to the other anon in regards to this post, >>7220331 i used ideas from 2 different paintings in order to draw what i had there. It just takes practice, just have fun! Back again friends. I was not sure how long it took exactly, but this to approximately 3 hours to complete.
I created her in hopes of fishing for (you)s in the furry thread. Forgive me for such petty desires, but she was fun to draw from start to finish. I know that hand could use a bit more polish , but i was satisfied with how it went so i just had to call it quits. I had wanted to make a short comic about anthropomorphic animals when Beastars came into popularity. I had very strong negative opinions of it and wanted to write my own take on the themes and values that were promoted in it. (I got far as when the wolf and horse started investigating a leopard gazelle hybrid, i just couldnt care to bother from there)
That being said, i really just wanted to test my chops when it came to making an appealing anthro girl of sort.

I always had felt bad drawing scenic environments with little people in them since forever. It feels like drawing what are essencially slightly more advanced stick figures is a bit of a cheat to me. But i feel pretty good with what i did here. I was inspired by the dark fantasy thread again, and while this might be a bit less impressive than some of my other drawings, it was no less fun to make. I suppose i was trying to make non euclidean medieval castle, but i think it just looks like a city out of a Jetsons knock off. Back again friends. I drew this in 2 hours.
He is an old antagonist for one of the 6 protagonists in Alices story.
I like how i drew his pose and his upper torso musculature. However i have a tough time drawing his hand-feet. I also do not like how i drew his face. I drew inspiration from horse skulls and felt that the tusks were too much in hindsight. I also feel that he comes across as stupid as opposed to monsterous.
If you care to indulge in his story:
He does not currently have a name, but as I said previously, he serves as an antagonist to one of my six heros. Despite the fact that mutant supremacy is the main ideal in the wasteland, there are many factions that then try to answer, "what is the supreme type of mutant?" Of them, (lets call him Leon for now) and the were-beasts try to make such a claim. Often rejected by other mutants for their their weaker primary(often human looking) form, and enslaved for their beastly, full potential form. Leon and his werebeasts all escaped such fates and see themselves as the next stage of mutation, calling back to darwinian philosophy. To prove this, the first slayed their former masters. Then they tested it on towns of innocent prey, leaving nothing but ghosttowns. Truely, Leon and his pack pretend to be superior wolves of the wasteland, but really they are nothing but a bunch of jackels that kill for some vague idealism that doesnt make much sense.

This is my most recent facination, the game Blaphemous. I love it styliatically, the mechanics are simple for a dummy like me, and I love the mythology behind it. I just want to strangle the developers for leaving so much to interperetation and not answering all my burning questions, but in a good way! Even the penetent one, who is so cruel to the monsters and enemies that show up in the game, seems to have a quiet kindness (if you decide to play that way) to all the good people in the game. Still on that Adventure Time mood lol. Back again friends. This one took me 45 mins to get here.
I had an idea for a fairytale to tell young girls. Tell me what you think as i would love to tweak it to make it a better story.
Long ago a princess was curse by warlock to have an invisible monster chained to her forever. This monster would kill and mame anyone who she grew fond of. After seriously injuring her father, the king, he and the queen decided with a heavy heart to build a castle on a lonely hill and keep the princess there forever.
Over many years, many brave generals, knights, hunters tried to slay the monster in the lonely castle and save the princess. However, none of them returned.
One day a prince, known not for his strength, nor his prowess in battle, but his kind heart and cleverness, rode into the king's kingdom. The king informed the prince of his daughter's heartbreaking fate. The prince offered a chance to save the princess, but the king was drenched in doubt. The prince was not imposing in any way, nor did the young lad have any experience with monsters or war. But the youngster assured the king that all he needed was a chance, and the king relented.
The prince prepared himself by reading on all the scrolls that documented the princess and her encounter with the warlock. He then went to the local smith to forge a pair of weapons that might kill the monster.
The next day, the lad made it to the lonely castle. The halls were covered with the bones of fallen heros and shattered glass, and wrung out metal, just as the boy suspected. He called out to the princess in a long corridor and she came.
"I have an offering to you!" He said and laid a box on the floor, stepping back. When she felt he was at a safe distance, the princess went and opened the box. A note laid on top that read, "you have never seen the beast because it always shatters the way it can be seen, take a look but you only have one chance."
I'll work a bit more on the pic and post the rest tomorrow. Goodnight friends!

Back again friends with part 2 of >>7243220
It took me about 30 mins to ink this far, something im rather uninthused about. I think i am done with this piece. I just feel tired of it. I could have done better and am bit wiped from it. Ya know. Anyway, back to the story:
In the box was a mirror and a cerimonial knife. Before the princess could reach for the mirror, the box was flipped over by an invisible force. The beast had caught on to the prince's scheme and attempted to break the mirror. But the mirror was not made from glass but polished steel and was difficult to break.
The prince then drew his sword and slashed at the invisible foe, but to no avail, as it was like fighting a ghost. The monster threw the mirror aside and in its rage, attacked the prince. The princess hurried to the mirror and looked upon it.
The horror, how could it be?! "This monster, its flesh, its evil, was all a part of me?" Yes, the monster wasn't merely chained to the Princess, but was apart of one flesh with her. It grew out of her faces and coiled around and out to the Prince. At last, she saw what had harmed her father, and killed all those brave men.
The prince was suffering the same fate. The beast grappled him to the ground and savored every moment as it drew out its many teeth and probuscus like tongue.
"My lady! I beg you!" The prince called out, "Only you can save yourself! Read the blade's name, give it your greatest wish, and slay the beast!"
The princess scrambled to the sacrificial knife. Its name was HOPE. But its blade was dull, like it was never sharpened.
"I cant with this! It's impossible!"she pleaded.
"Then I am as good as dead!" He grunted under the coils of the beast.
The princess fell to her knees and begged, she prayed to the heavens, she beseeched her one wish: to be free.
The knife glowed with a holy blue and with nothong to lose, she struck at the monster's coil that grew from her face.
I'll juat wrapp up the stor in the next post. Lol

Back again friends tgis one took 30 mins. I didnt want to take long today. As i wasnt feeling too well. I like the gnome facination that occoured recently and it was fun to draw. Now to wrap up this >>7244351 story:
The blade, though little sharper than a letter opener, sliced through the monsters flesh. The princess hacked away at it like a lumberjack until its horrid chain of flesh was severed. With the way it was able provide it with a sustainable lifeforce cut, the monster writhed to the floor. Before long, it ceased all together.
The princess fell to her knees in absolute shock, she was free. The prince rose to his feet and offered her a hand.
She took his kind, gentle hand, "You... you saved me!"
The prince smiled warmly, "Only you could have slain the monster, you chose to be free. I only showed you what you needed to see."
Tears gathered in the princess's eyes as she embraced him amongst the bones and shattered glass. It would be the last time she would ever find herself there again, happily returning to a loving home and a loving kingdom. And they lived happily ever after. The End.

Phew! What do you think? I tried to make it as short as i could for this format, but what do you think of the story and the potential messages that could be drawn from it? I want to make a few new grimm folktales that i feel are relevant to day, particularly surrounding child victimhood and the like. But i also dont want to be seen as foolish if the message is not conveighed properly. What do you all think? Might this be a good mildly macabre story for young girls?

Bavk again friends this one took me 45 mins to get here.
I just wanted to test my skillfor more realistic art as i havent tried it in a while. I feel pretty good about it, with not too many adjustments to be had. Feels pretty good for not much time spent either! When i draw like this, i feel more like i am scuplting, like i am manifesting mounds of clay, then chisling it away to the form i desire. It is strange, because i do not feel this way with simply drawing. It is as if there is too much eptiness and it wigs me out. Am i the only one who feels this way? Lol

Back again friends. This one took me about 1 hour and a half to get here.
I am a fan of quest 64. I know it might be popular to poke fun at the game for its halfbaked sort of essance, but i found the design of the characters, monsters, and the world at large, to be quite charming. I even found the battle system to be rather interesting especially in the idea of moving around to avoid enemy attacks during their turn. While not perfect by any means, there is an element in there that could have really shaken up the turn based systems, however i no not what it may be. The bigest problem was there was no reason outside of healing and buffs to really use magic. The melee attack was always much more devastating of an attack to the point that, with high enough defense, you could just club everything to death and there would be no point in the elements at all really. I feel bad because i wanted to experiment, but i felt no reason to when melee was just more handy in everyway

I am pretty happy with the line work of this drawing friends. I am not completely satisfied with Brian's (the boy) face. the art for quest 64 is quite charming and i would like to color at least vaguely like it. I kinda know about shading, but know little about actual coloring itself and am quite the /beg/ at it. I used to be pretty okay with colored pencils but fell out of it for some retarded reason that i cannot fathom. Anyway. Maybe I'll practice coloring with this picture someday, but I am done with it today.

Back again friends. I put about an hour more into this drawing totaling it to 1hour and a half so far.
I remember when Beastars first came out, and how much it blew up in the various cultural spheres. I read the manga up til the main character and the horse investigated the antalope leopard hybrid, an i bloody hated it. I did not enjoy one thing about that comic, not the art, not the characters, not the story.
Perhaps the thing I hated the most about it was the constant appeal to the weak in it all. The main character lost his teeth so that he wouldnt have to ever eat a herbivore again, but he never did until one time for a shonin powerup for a final fight. I hated the rabbit too. She was portrayed of being strong and indipendant, but she was the equivilant of Jenny from forrest gump, selfish and selfcentered under the blanket of self discovery and free love. Bah humbug.
I wanted to make my own story that expressed the struggles between herbivores and carnivores. In it, there is a vorist wolf (he hates herbivores, not all, but most) because of society's habit of pandering to the moaning and groaning to the weak. he meets a rabbit that has an additude and when he snaps and is ready to eat her, she pulls a gun on him. From there, their friendship develops and i would want to explore various enemies and dangera of the wolf, from a violent selfrighteous dog (doberman or dogo argentino, im not sure yet) who sees himself as a good guy despite running a local gang that harrasses herbs and carns alike, to a mob of hippos who are the most murderous and voilent animals in the city (despite being herbs) and so on. I only have a few loose stories together for it, but id like to make it someday. I REAAALLY hated beastars. Sheesh.

Most of my time was adjusting the wolf's right arm and starting the line work on the face.i am upset however as i feel that the SOVL to his face has been lost. I liked how narrow and focused it was before, but when i tried to clean it up, it looked pretty good, but my heart sank when i compared it to the sketch. I am not sure if i should redraw it and try again, or leave it at this moment. I want it to look more soulful again, but i am worried that i cannot get it where i want to.

Forgive me for not drawing fresh pictures but rather focusing on one with minimal progress with each update. I just feel real good about this one and want to persue it further. Try to finish at least a couple drawings yo their conclusion. Ya know?
I dont mind how i drew Hare too much in this picture so far. I have added her original design for extra context. I very much like how she was drawn originally, but i feel like some of her features cannot be expressed well with my current iteration of her. I intended the pattern in her fur to represent her hair line, with a couple of punky implicayions. However in my current drawing, such patter makes her look boyish or like those "goth" girls who have bad haircuts. So i added a few strands in her neck and a bang to better impose her femininity. Does this work or is it a bust?

i dont know what to say about todays work. i initially made the background to make the subject seem to be part of a photoshoot of sorts. the subject, however, i was not sure on. i originally was going to draw a photogenic beauty, theni thought about a few different carnies from a strongman to a mouthless woman with her mouth on her stomach. but then i just drew and it turned to this. i am not sure what it represents, i just kept on drawing until didnt want to any more.

Cool. In the thumbnail her face works.
I did a test on picrel to see what is the detail that changes a face "in a good way", and I think it is the hair above the forehead line. If you make the size of the hair contour wider than the face it will make it look everything better immediately.
Also, I think you didn't like it because you didn't had time to thought about an idea that you really wanted to do, like that face with no mouth that you said, or a face with no eyes, or a turned around head showing her braids resting on the front. I think that was your idea with this picture, and it fits better than a beautiful face.

Back again friends! This one took me 1 hour and 45 to get this far.
I am feeling much better thanks to you all that posted in the mean time. I realize now that i have over stepped myself in my last work. In that I wanted to attempt a semi-realistic work with no real reference nor direction as to where i wanted to go. And indoing so, i made something i only had a vague idea of ehat to do.
Todays work, on the other hand, was a much clearer image of what i wanted to draw. I have so much fun drawing the "business dad bod." You know what i mean, theres an unassuming man, such as Clark Kent, a couple John K characters, senator Armstrong, and so on, that have glasses and look fairly nice in a business suit. But when they take off their attire and express their musculature, an emposing aura encapulates them. Especially when they are an overwelming force to an already capable protagonist. The juxtoposition between the unassuming business suit and the threat that hides beneath is fun to draw!
>>7261889
Dear friend, i am blessed that you were able to see the potential in my work when i could not. Not only that but you brought out a beauty that i could not fathom in my moment of self pity. Forgive me if i seem a bit dramatic, but your help meant a lot. Your obsevation is correct. It is easy for me to lose sight of myself when in indecision, as i prefer to at least have a reasonable idea of what i want rather than just "go with the flow."
Youre awesome friend. Thanks!

Back again friends. This one took about 1 hour to get here. I didnt have much time to draw but i juat had to.
This is a character for an idea i had for a cyberpunk story. It is really vague and will not likely get fully developed. But basically the idea is that a detective finds out that his city is so corrupt and evil that he deems it unworthy of saving it and has to choose between trusting that justice will have its day, or manually set off a virus that systematically shut off all the top criminals in the city, but also that it ll affect some innocent people too.
Smiles, the girl in picrel, is akin to a broken computer despite still having abiological brain. She is ever the optimist, but seems to forever be lost in a haze, like someone who is fried from drugs, but only able to function because of her mechanical parts. She, herself, her humanity is lost and the detective pities her having known how she was before losing herself. This is another straw that may lead to the detective's moral back to break.
I am uncertain what her outfit would be, but i was certain about her face. I will have to think about it.

Back again friends! This one did pretty good at an hour and a half.
I needed a break from my comic page and just wanted to draw. I like the batman universe, and particularly liked the patterson batman movie. I guess i just had to let this expression come out. Feel pretty proud of catwomans pose and the simple background and lighting. I think it feels pretty natural for only an hour anda halfs work!

Back again friends this one took an hour to do.
I felt my time was needed for my upcoming trip, so i strickly set this to be only an hour drawing. It looks... okay? Sometimes i feel like i forget how to draw, and i dont know how else to put it. It used to be quite frustrating, but thankfully i feel lile i can move past it much easier. Forgive me friends as I may not post for the next couple of days. Please post your beautiful works here and I will give them a look about as soon as i can. Elsewise i might be bumping once a day like a schizo lol.

Back again friends I have finally returned from my trip. Unfortunately one of you dingbats got the IP address band from where i was, and then from there the internet was terrible so i wanst able to post at any reasonable time. Not that i was drawing much, anyway.
With that said, this one was about an hour and 15 total.
i got a new fountain pen from amazon and i wanted to try it out. I was sold by a social media short and it looks mighty fun to use.
I have been listening to the story of Ba'al and seeing how their mythology played out compared to the isrealites of their time. I am not particularly moved by his story in any regard, but i thought a minitaur with 2 lightning maces was kinda cool i guess, lol.

Ah! How wonderful to see you drop by, i admire your commitment to your style and comic. Do you already have an idea of what you want to draw and just go straight to inking? I noticed there was no sketch underlying in your video, is it all guess work, or is it your full intent to simply make your imagination laid onto the paper?

Back again friends, this one is an hour in.
Glad to be back to drawing on my tablet. I was inspired by 2 things, Kanye West's song Flashing Lights, the music and sound, not the lyrics, they sound a bit heavenly. The other being my friends recent confession to me of his de-christianization. He was someone who I looked up to in a religious sense and has become nihilistic and agnostic in his belief. While still a beautiful soul through and through, it hurts when someone you looked up to in a religious sense suddenly takes a turn in such a way. I am hopeful, as I was in a similar position as he a few years ago as well, that he will return to his faith in due time. I dont mean to be dramatic really, it just inspired me to draw something is all.

Why thank you friend, for your kind words as always! I was trying to keep it simple and have her holding a cross. I imagine it would be difficult to be the mother of the Lord incarnate, only for her son to be in such pain, die, then resurrect, then wait a life time to see him again in paradise. I think about that sometimes and is the scene Im trying to create, amother thinking about her son.

Back again friends. I have added another 30 mins to this one totaling it to 2 hours.
I have been considering taking up blender. I remember using a 3d sculpting app on the ipad a long time ago. It was the most easiest thing i ever did, though i have no proof so youll have to trust me. I think i will do it so that i can have consistanvy if i were to draw characters from different angles and will help with the like. I can "feel the form" more when sculpting, so hopefully it will aid my drawing. I am on the "donut" phase still, but i cant wait to get to the good stuff!

I am trusting the process, but goodness I feel like there a lot of opprotunities to mess up without even knowing, and you wont know until further down the road, where you cant fix it. But i admit, i am charmed by the technology. I can feel the possibilities growing as I continue to learn. The tutorial i have been folowing came with a free set of downloadable ears, and i felt so confident, i tried making them myself. Yes, they are trash, incase you were wondering. I havent been consistently making as much art as i have been wanting to the past week, so i tried to get back on the wagon today. The womans face made me nervous as it took a while yo get it where it is as well as her anatomy. However i am happy with what i got so far. The clothing on the other hand i am much more displeased with. I do not know what i want out of her outfit. I, on one hand, want to expose her chest and shoulders to b a bit risque, but on the other, i enjoy the collared clothing of the 1860s. I supposed i want her to be classy, but with some flare involved. I am determined to make a unique, resonable attire!

I wanted to make comics by drawing bits of panels and assemble them in Photoshop, but that requires lots of time on the computer, and that has been scarce for years. So,I started a random drawing of a demon head in a new sketchbook, thought about what it would be doing in the ficdom I write of. And 180 strips later, that story is half told. So I have a great deal of practice composing elaborate plots and situations, some mysteries unravel at odd times, and I let the story tell itself, trusting to my intimacy with these characters to convey information and do it entertainingly.

Which brings me to this:

https://youtu.be/s8d8CmhEe-A?si=3VRR1hoYg-blUztn

https://youtu.be/UoTBkDRWCSw?si=7qW9Ve0wKY9TZpQi

https://youtu.be/D2gEr0dIf1k?si=7kT_ohOpL1XBgVc7

What can one do with only 10 hours a week to draw? Each video is documenting 1-1.5 hours of drawing, and that comic is from the introductory story that will present the IP in all its glory, appearing before your eyes. I dance around the page, tossing the images into the scene like scaffolding, then reinforce the details through dark understructures, leaving mere dots for placeholders as the whole of the picture is gradually tuned in. Sometimes the art dictates the story if the random thing I am designing turns out well so I will need to match the text to the developing dynamic. I am going to figure out how to add music to the videos and artwork to the channel on my vacation in 2 weeks. Would a comic so presented be enough "product" to gather a following?

I feel as though i havent quite recovered creatively recovered since the trip i took over labor day weekend. This isnt too suprising, as there are periods of time where i just "forget" to draw. Back again friends, i have been drawing this fella a couple of times now because he is part of (yet another) story idea that i have. It takes place in a small city where a girl makes a wish to a comet, and because of it, several others are able to get their wish granted in the theme of the original wish. This is a disgruntled police officer who has been disgraced by his peers and loved ones because of an incident with the local rebelious youth group. Driven to the brink of desparation, he made his wish on a horrible, vengeful whim. He asked to be the monster that (he thought) those damned kids saw him as.
A theme i want to toy with is the idea of natural opposites like lex luthor and superman. so for example, this guy is rigid and unbreakable, and he is "destined" to be in conflict, at least in part, with his opposite, a young boy who who accidently was apart his public disgrace. The young man also got a wish and gained the ability to be "free like the wind" and so is akin to a ghost or a puff of smoke, or at least, thats what i got so far.
>>7314558

Back again friends, this took me a bout 30 mins cause i cant stop being tired lately.
My gf wanted me to create some concept of propoganda using a mlp character. She is supposed to be pointing forward, not saluting like a roman lol.
Oh well.

Hello friend, I do not know your lifes circumstance, nor pretend to. However, the way i see it is this: the one who walks down the street and back for excercise, despite putting minimal effort, is still advancing his goals more that the one who just thinks about it. Why cant you figure out what to draw? Is it a matter of skill and you wish you were better than you were? Is you really dont know what to draw, and if so, the what do you even like to draw? Why are you even drawing in the first place?
The point of this thread is specifically to draw, even if its bad, because regardless you will be advancing your goals and skills as an artist.
Now draw! Give me something you like to draw and I'll do it with you. Just draw for 30 mins, today!

Back again friends. This one took about 45 minutes to make.
I recently came into contact with a phone game that was incredibly simple and i wondered what i would do if i made my own. It is merely a concept but i had two ideas. Either it would be those tower defense games where you spawn entire armies such as the game battle cats, or a sort of auto side scrollers such as punch quest. Im not sure. But i just thought a little triceratops runing and tackling baddies would be neat.

Back again friends. This last bit took me an hour totaling this piece at 3 and a half hours. I do not like how the spinal plates turned out. I put them on a separate layer from the rest of the piece and got to work. However, when it was time to put both layers together, it created a muttled mess. I figured at least i should be done with the piece, but i see the pants still arent shaded and that bothers me to no end. But also im okay with this feeling because it means i am achieving one of the goals i set out for, and that is to becoming more comfortable with finishing pieces than just leaving them unfinished. Silver linings, huh?

I am done with this. It feels good to finish. I learned to let go and let the brush create the texture for me. I dont need to create all the texture myself.

kek, I was just having a bit of fun. Pretty much 90% of violin related material is wrong.

Oh yeah, it's great. I think you'll find the similarities between that character you made and the one I mentioned striking.
I've seen it referred to as the Blood Meridian of manga, but that's moreso because they're both westerns and fucked-up. You'd like it I think. some great designs in it too.

Lol me too, it reminds me of the trend of pointing out how wrong people play instruments in movies. Good fun for sure, lol
>I've seen it referred to as the Blood Meridian of manga, but that's moreso because they're both westerns and fucked-up. You'd like it I think. some great designs in it too.
Then I shall give it a look. I found, who i assumed was the main character, to be quite striking when painted with the american flag, really cool!
>...reminds me of The Last Unicorn.
Thank you kindly, my girl is a big fan of it!
>I've actually had thoughts of game design lately too, but no programming skills lol.
Oh lord, thats always the biggest hurdle! Ive been tweaking on blender here and there, but theres so many tools it makes my head spin. And thats not even anything to do with the coding part!!!
>good job timing yourself. It lets you really recognize how much time a piece can eat up.
Precisely! I usually get bored with my works because i spend too much time on the meaningless details so timing allows me to just get the "idea" done and also tracks how much i am actually practicing.
>is this it?
No no, friend. forgive me for being overly cryptic. I meant "one more time for today" at that point. Though the rest of my post didnt help either did it? Ill be sticking around for a bit more. Also dont worry about replying too much, I'm happy for the occasional anons to come through. In fact, post your work! I'd love to see the personalities of the anons that pass through here! I feel like I have lost some of the cool dynamism that i had originally intended, but perhaps i can recoup it once i finish sketching the gunslinging catgirl. I am not a particular wizz at foreshortening, but this grawing has been valuable practice on multiple fronts.

Back again friends, this took 20 mins to do.
I have grown to enjoy drawing Finn the human. His potato sack body and noodly limbs allow for experimentation of position and pose without too much commit. I feel like I have said that before, lol. Anyway here i can see that i over sold the bend in his torso and should have made the bend a bit further down, but i am glad i could try such a pose on a simple figure than making what i might have liked on a more complicated figure look like total crap.

back again, friends, though this may be for the last time. forgive me for my shortcomings, but I am too exhausted to continue to post in this thread everyday as I have had in the past. I even began to feel shame from it, as i have nothing to show after each day. My current job takes most of my energy, and the energy I do have, I spend helping my beloved with her projects and help her growth as an artist. I just want to thank you for coming to this thread and give all the the art a look, commenting, and occasionally pyw.
Okay, let's do this one last time. I have worked on this for 4 hours so far and is the first picture in the story i have made several times in this thread. it is not finished by a long shot, but hopefully I can move on to the second picture soon and maybe make even further progress before the end of the year. his is dedicated to you, dear friends. It can.I'll say /ic/ is a moderately fast board,it might have been better to post this thread on /i/,that's a slow board and threads there can last a very long time, the oldest one right now seems to be from 2021. >>686740
Also /oekaki/ is much better than /ic/ for actually drawing and showing your art.It looks like it's mostly OP that contributed to this thread, but if he made this thread on /i/ then it certainly would have had more people actually drawing.
