Are Twitter and Pixiv really the only sites worth posting on? Bluesky still a thing?

Stop being lazy and make your own website. Simple as.

Instagram on the other hand is surprisingly pulling through despite doing everything it can to drive people away. I suppose that implies just how fed up normies are with xitter.

It's more fun to see where Deviantart is heading.
Their near constant Core sales shows that they're extremely desperate to make money; heck they even removed the cheapest Core option. They're either going go be sold off soon or there will be a mass firing (on par with the rest of the tech industry)

>> No.7114745

I only post art in Discord communities. I also use Twitter to find and follow artists, but haven't posted anything there myself yet. I see no reason to bother with any other platform, except for streaming. Twitch is organized better than Youtube but both platforms seem kinda shitty. Easier to find streaming artists on Twitch but they take more of your money. I guess if you have enough of a following you can just stream on Discord and paywall that shit.

On the dumpster diving part yes but I imagine for a turnout like that it's a terminally online 24/7 social media marketing gig.

Sure, it's a miserable salary, but honestly how many actual artists (outside of actual pros) on DA can say they've made $25k in commissions or other art sales over their lifetime of selling, much less over the course of a year? Probably not very many.

"New illustration available on my site" with a cropped/censored/blurred version of the art is allowed, whereas maybe posting the full piece would get you a b&. With how cucked all sites and social media are becoming, it might be the only way to bypass their bullshit.

I guess Deviantart observed they can survive without actual artists, it's pretty bold posting AI fags like that, just goes to show they don't value artists anymore because they don't have to. This might send a message to other platforms and start tolerating AI as well, knowing they can survive even with artists leaving. It's so over bros, I encourage you all to do your best and create more quality stuff before all your significance is lost in this world.

It depends on their position in the argument. If they're attacking artists, it's the easiest thing in the world and renders skill obsolete. If they're the ones being called out, then it becomes a valid form of personal expression requiring artistic skill
