Good artists have no reason to complain about AI.
The twitter artists that are going crazy over this are the ones that never even fucking try to make anything other than their standardized poses.

Why don't you draw you 1girl trying to disentangle herself from a giant python, from a 3 point perspective. Why don't you try to tell coheremt stories with your art instead of just "whoooa look pretty gyal" like some pajeet?

>Good artists have no reason to complain about AI.
I understand what you mean but I'm kinda fed up seeing an AI production where a human could have done it. Yesterday I saw a flyer about heart diseases at my local drugstore and the picture was made by an AI. The day before I saw AI photographs in a local magazine.

Sure there is a human writing a prompt, but those pictures tried to imitate photographs whithout having to pay a model, a photographer, a studio, a graphist... and so on and so forth...*snirrfl*
I admit that AI is just a tool and that you have to train yourself in order to get exactly what you want with it but I feel that's unfair and hypocritical to use this in commercial productions in this day and age. Sure, good artists don't have to worry much but I feel that patrons using AI instead of real people to reduce costs are kinda gatekeeping younger artists (not only in the illustration field) to live from their work.

True, capitalism is not unfair or hypocritical. Everybody had the same chance to be born into a family that sits on hoarded generational wealth from slavery and genocide. Humanity is blessed by capitalism.
Finally artists can cut down their work with the help of AI and do something actually useful like becoming influencers to propagandize energy drinks and dieting powders.

It's complicated, for example as part of my job I have to take care of the ads on my division, since the marketing department didn't have the pics I needed I prompted them, HQ gave me the thumbs up and we got a good marketing campaign with no one complaining about AI or anything, so a part of the back, on the other hand I sometimes make drawings in my tablet to relax myself or just because I got this or that idea, similarly sometimes I find some good AI art, but more often than not I prefer the made-by-human work simply because there is a certain subjetive emotion which AI can't replicate.

I personally find art is more about subjective experience than optimizing productivity.

>> No.7114442

I'm not against AI. I think it's a fun tool.
Having said that, AIfags are insecure babies with shit arguments.
>Why don't you try to tell coheremt stories with your art instead of just "whoooa look pretty gyal" like some pajeet?
Two prong.
General works appeal to general audiences and advertise the artist through shareability. If an artist is capable of doing more specific pieces, they often post those alongside it, those are conveniently ignored by you and the populace until the artist develops a folliwing from their brand.
At that point, the artist will have their work fed into a model and their style will be learned anyway. It's a temporary nonsolution that becomes moot when it's brought up.

>On the internet it's free
Images are, but work is not. I can save a picture from some professional's artstation, and even upload it, but if I try to pass it off as my own then it becomes a problem because I would then be trying to directly profit off of content I did not make in the same market as the original.

>jobs going obsolete.

The nuance is that it is ART. It is more of a form of human expression rather than an actual job. People who have nothing good to express are the ones worries. And it's Good. Only a few great exceptional artists deserve payment for their creative expressions.

AI art is as much stealing as you using reference for your work.

Or maybe it is stealing. But guess what, we artists are too insignificant for anyone to give a fuck to enforce laws against this. What's the point in crying?
