which one is it, /ic/?
>strictly follow the practice routine of a famous artist
>research different routines and customize it based on your liking (which will probably take a serious amount of time)

just draw

What kind of hobby do you think this is? You're in this for life. You have an infinite amount of time.

1- find your own way and only (only!) employ yourself with what you are 100% interested in (except PORN, which leads nowhere)
2 - don't play into the expectations of others
3 - turn off your phone and internet to work concentrated for hours
4 - work comes out of work. the more you draw, the more ideas you get
5 - eat healthy, smoke less, drink less alcohol

Whichever makes you actually draw a lot? Sincerely, just try one of the options and see where it gets you.

I do ktd and do cognitive drawing everyday

None
Take the coder approach, and research only what you need
You want to draw a knight riding in armor? research metal shines and horses and riding poses
This trend of "learn everything at all times and build a giant library in your head... and then start drawing on the blank canvas" is retarded
Do not fucking "learn practice routines"
Wtf is that
Literally just start drawing
FUCKING DRAW

yeah i think so too. i believe that "paint at least 2h everyday or ngmi" is unrealistic. you can't have productive days 7 times a week. the stress and bad conscience of thinking to yourself "oh i didn't draw anything yesterday" is making you feel miserable. it's perfectly ok to not draw for a long time and then maybe one weekend, you draw 8h straight only pausing to eat and shit. everyone has their own rhythm.

Not with that attitude.

have you been drawing 7 days a week and never skipped a day? you have never stopped drawing bc you felt like you only produce shit that day? don't larp so hard for your internet clout

connecting negative emotions and pressure with something that is supposed to be enjoyable is a shit idea.

i see the coder approach sounds interesting if i have an idea for a piece, but what about grinding the fundamentals?

>> No.7113804

>but what about grinding the fundamentals
Then apply coder approach
Wanna learn arms and hands, learn arms and hands
There's no need to learn the whole body anatomy and it's contruction at once
Unless you are learning gesture
In which case only learn gesture and forget the small details of the bodyparts
Which is how gesture is done

>>7113804
>There's no need to learn the whole body anatomy and it's contruction at once
don't they go hand in hand together?
was under the impression that practicing anatomy and construction together would bring out more benefits than studying one at a time

do as the coders do: just google/reference the things you're missing and actually need for a particular picture
you don't need to have the whole human body commited to memory, use something like
https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/ecorche-male-musclenames-anatomy-33162ec759e04d2985dbbdf4ec908d66
and just start drawing

>> No.7113961

You cannot "practice learning geometry" or "practice learning physics"
Why the fuck do you think you can "practice learning anatomy"
Practice what?
You either sit and learn it all, or don't
