If I may offer one piece of advice, it would be to focus on one "thing" per study session. Be it figures, abstract shapes, a specific body part, whatever. Don't just drift aimlessly. Do a few in a row with the same focus, really pay attention to what you're looking at, and then try to draw whatever you studied from imagination. Just once if you like. It should help deepen your understanding Good luck.

Your question was kind of insane. How much time you "should" spend drawing is how much time you want and can afford to spend drawing. Unless you have a specific goal in mind, which you didn't share with us. Furthermore, there's more to it than just time spent. I wish I had my tablet so I could give feedback easier but point #1, this line should connect, or at least line up, since the upper lip is all one form. What is your studying plan?
Mine:
1 hour watching Vilppu's course, drawing along and doing exercise
30 mins watching Olson's perspective course, drawing along
30 - 45 mins copying from real life
30 mins practice shading
1 - 2 hours copying artists that I like, drawing for fun.
I only draw for 1 hour on Wesnesday and Sunday. It's very important to take break.

It would look pretty stupid to post the two on one website, like 1% of people may understand that it's a non-sexual appreciation, the 99% of people would think you're hypocritical or wrong or stg, despite the fact that probably all artists, even religious ones also draw naked figures.

Maybe this is partly due to the quality of the photo, but your lineart is barely noticeable in the colored areas, which in turn makes most of the flowers (especially the roses) appear quite blurry.

Once you fill up the rest of the piece, you should delineate the whole drawing with a thin black sharpie (alternatively, you could also use dark color markers or pens).

Don't stress brother, this is what learning art looks like. The big thing KtD teaches is observation, which is an incredibly important skill not just for drawing, but IMPROVING at drawing.

The hand you drew looks completely wrong (no worries), so hold up your hand in the same position and compare the two. Try to discern WHY it looks wrong, which lines you put in the wrong places, which parts you drew too wide or two thin, and then draw it again. That one will probably look bad too, but if it looks even a little bit better that's a good sign. Good luck.

Okay admittedly I do take less time then what the book recommends. I also don't focus on the wrinkles and stuff but thats mostly because I wanna do more stylised, anime/cartoon stuff. I'm guessing it's bleeding in to this even though the book expects realism.

ATTENTION ALL SOCIAL REJECTS, LOSERS, UNMOTIVATED FAILURES!

I am PROUDLY announcing PermaBEG magazine!!

>What is this?
I would like to make a small magazine of /beg/ and /int/ artworks from the anons that post here, because I like this format and I want to try it out.
It is an obvious copy of the idea of WEIRDO magazine from the great R Crumb. Post your work that you wish to be included.

Do NOT post the work here, post it in the PermaBEG thread: >>7113450 >>7113450 >>7113450

>when is it going to be finished
Likely never if the jenny puts my posts regarding this in /r/. But if not, then I would take time to receive a good enough amount of work then take little time and some creativity to stitch it together. so up too your contributions

To some extent yes but you will stagnate eventually and might get frustrated if your drawings don’t turn out how you imagined and the only way past that is to study. If you never experience that frustration then you’ll be high begkino and can do what you want. There are a lot of popular artists like that who have sovl so it doesn’t matter that their skills suck. But studying is actually really fun if you’re at the point where you can learn something from it and see your art improve based on what you learned. So you might change your mind in the future.

The advice IS to fix it. Look at your hand and look at your drawing. Whatever you're doing wrong that makes your drawing look different from your real hand, do it not wrong. Correct the angles of the lines and the distances between them. You do this by looking closely and drawing thoughtfully, and actually measuring things if/when you need to. That's as much as anyone here or anywhere else will be able to hold your hand. There's no special trick to it, no secret technique that we're all conspiring to hide from you, you're just unskilled, you're not drawing carefully enough, and that's why you're practicing in the first place.

At a certain point, you have to just pet the dog, anon.

I mean perspective is hard to begin with, and (I'm assuming some stuff here) while you can't even draw a box right, or rather notice it is off, you try to learn it on a horribly difficult subject that is the human body. If you want to get better at it do drawings of simple objects, like furniture or lamps or whatever, while clearly breaking them down into simple forms. And be meticulous about it, it takes time and kinda makes you feel dumb, but you'll stand a good chance on actually improving construction. Though I'm a permabeg myself so honestly you should probably just ignore my post cause I don't know what I'm talking about

It means that all the parts of the image work together to create a cohesive whole whereas most begs lose the forest for the trees since they get overly focused on or overwhelmed by detail and can’t think of how the image looks as a whole. But you have good balance between the parts in your drawings so I think you’ll have an easier time than most at learning things like proportions, measurements, composition, gesture, etc. Good job, keep it up!

My explanations are doodoo but I'll try
The muscles that attach to the clavicle are the pectorals, deltoids and trapezius muscles.
Trapezius and deltoid each occupy 1/3 of the clavicle
The neck muscle, sternocleidomastoid, is divided into two heads, one attached to the clavicle and the other to the manubrium
The clavicle as well as the scapula will not move much until you raise your arm above 90 degrees, from then on its inclination is very noticeable

I got some advice on how to learn to digitally paint better by copying the reference image rather than tracing it.

I did copy the outlines of the figures in the reference image using a grid, but I don't understand why copying the inner details and clothing of the figures would help me.

I was told to not use the outlines I copied and instead just focus on filling up space on the canvas with the colors selected using the color picker. I know copying the reference image is similar to painting from life, but I don't think this is necessary when I am painting digitally.

What's the purpose of not using outlines and not tracing the different colored areas on the figures?
