Being able to do it with your own hand and a pencil or paintbrush on paper or a canvas before the eyes of others gets all the "wows" in person, and surprise surprise most digital artists are entirely capable of that too, but pretty much all art in every industry is digital
Illustrations for any and all books, including comics books and graphic novels and their covers? Digital. Concept art for games? Digital. Any relevant art created for any kind of media franchise or other element of culture? Digital, digital, digital.
Digital art is 9999x bigger than traditional art and 99% of the best art being produced today is being produced digitally.
In two thousand years they may or may not remember some spectacular oil paintings dug out of some dude's attic decades after he died as great contributions to art history, but they will certainly be showing art students splash art from major games and/or movies
(This assumes that human civilization will exist in 2k years and that we're not all going extinct or back to the stone age for the next half a million years)

you know we have art going back damn near 2k years already. I'm pretty sure traditional art will always be preserved but I can't say the same for digital. people in the future will think any sort of digital art was made by the AI and not a person
