The key to compelling illustrations, beyond technical aspects like composition, is knowing how and why particular settings, objects, characters, and behaviors are being used to convey a particular thought, emotion, or event. This applies to everything from pin-ups for landscapes. Let's talk about our process for drilling down these elements and successfully producing work that conveys what we set out to.

Oh, why this shit is important: if you don't have a process, you're either mindlessly copying - copping someone else's message or thoughts about the structure of the world or interactions without really understanding the underlying rationale for them - or saying nothing at all.

Another reason it is important is to gain a dedicated following, of people who become invested in your world. We see this phenomenon in movie and tv series (Tolkien, Star Wars, Alien, Star Trek) and graphical artists that have recognizable characters and ambiences that keep showing up in their work (Druuna).

One doesn't even need to like the particular work - for example, James Gurney's Dinotopia - to recognize its commercial value.

There are many different types of dinos, so there's many different colors of poop, anon! The fruitful dinotopians collect it and sell it, because of its high nutritional value! :)

Yes, that's one of the reasons I don't like it.

the main issue is that the dinosaurs aren't female girls

Sounds like you're starting to build a world anon. Tell us more.

Those worlds I listed above (>>7068014) are not centred around female girls, except for Druuna, but are money makers. There is a nerd/geek market and dinosaurs probably appeal to the younger generation that comes after Z.

I agree
Like that one hentai pic of all the futas on the train car

Yea, a world where men are monster hunters and they work together with their female partners that have slight dinosaur traits (like shark teeth or horns/tails) as they form a group called a pack.
The history branch is essentially european colonization but instead they became part of the tribes roaming around and decided to say fuck it this shit is way more cash and live with the dinos and hot exotic tribal dino women instead
Now there is a problem in that the next fleet has arrived 50-100 years after the original arrival because it didn't allow globalization to kick in as hard as it did in regular history and now the people from dinoamerica have to fight off against the british

Maybe a story revolves around a british stow that meets up with a t-rex brute of a woman and together they-
my flow stopped there. I have no idea what good any brit would bring to anyone

I didn't think it would involve the American Revolution, nice swerve. What kind of dino girl would George Washington wed?

Thanks, I'll keep drawing anime girls in a void for thousands of likes on twitter instead
