She is definitely falling over in the normal image. The tilt of bg doesn't match the tilt of the character, in short it needs to be more extreme. If your aren't changing the leg then notice that right leg reads completely flat until the caft when It suddenly juts into a 3d form. I can be completion wrong but do note that I dont know what your reference material looks like mind you so I can only draw from my own experience with drawing. if this is insufficient you gotta take it back to drawing 101 and trace the reference and overlap it with your own drawings so see what is off about you drawing.

Thank you for the critique, anon. My intention was to make it have sort-of a vibe like the art was on top of a rice scroll or something along those lines.

I've tried that in other works (and usually the gradient map does the work for me), but I wasn't quite sure what the rationale for doing so was. It seems like it's just going back or forth on the color wheel and picking something slightly more saturated to color on top of the terminus.

Maybe I'll try playing around with it later to spruce it up a notch, but thanks again, anon!!!

Had to screen shot this to lower image file size. I literally have a small story and their significance to me for each piece but for this one specifically I want you to look at the lil orbs and big ones. They are to represent thought and memory. The big ones are the staples in life like having a cherished friend or loved one. As for the small ones they could be the lil stones that make up who you are as a person. Looking to the fire on the right and seeing how it fades like all things, well, it's only a matter of time, no?
