Frieren, any of the new genshin/honkai characters, Tifa has always been ol reliable but her, cloud and aerith are back in thw spotlight from the new ff7 release, look at any of the major videogame releases in the past 2 months then pick the main girl from that. Ez engagement. Do the same thing with the latest marquee anime release last/this season

Based from what i've seen if your art is weeb style the popular one this month are

A pretty brutal battlefield because you compete with shitton of godly Jap, Chink, and Gook artists (comic artists, 2D video creator, etc) for engagement but number of engagement you got here is high (15k likes avg). You can't be only good at art for this but your art must be appealing too, you won't survive here if you only do figure drawing 24/7, you need to have some knowledge on how to make overall image appealing.

>vtubers and mid popularity gacha games (Arknights, AL, Idolmaster, NIKKE)
A harsh one but not crazy as very hard mode. (avg 5k likes)

>Normal mode. The fanbase will appreciate every art they got, you'll probably only get 25% of hard mode engagement number but the bar for the art to be recommended into algo is lower (2k likes avg)
