That is really well done

I don't feel proud of this in the sense that it reflects my highest skill, but it's the closest to what I want my style to be. There's a lot wrong with this and it has no bg or renderiny but it was made between a period of style>fundies (some of the ugliest art i've made) and my current fundies>style (aimless, non confident art), and I think about it a lot when I try to imagine what I really want to make. I very much envy my previous self who was able to make this and not delete it because i drew the cloth wrong or because the head is too big or it's too flat or not pushing myself etc. Just neat.

It got deleted from Instagram, Deviant Art, and Reddit suspended my account. My best work so far, triggering the discord trannies and braindead Roasties is fun. All the flavors in the world they choose to be cunts. They taught me what not to be and showed me the right path. The obstacle is the way. I have improved greatly since. It was designed as intended and I now know what they are. They have all the opportunity to change and apologize but until then, I hope they do well. Because hell will come for them, and when it does, they will have something to contrast with.

I’ll never post my actual work because I know it’ll get crapped on regardless of quality. I’ll describe it though. The two heroes of my webcomic are in a deep cave with stairs leading down. Mysterious writing is etched into the steps which one of the heroes recognizes because she (thought) she made it up. There are glowing plants surrounding a well above which a Mary-like statue prays. The other hero is preoccupied with this aspect of the cave and flips a coin into the well.

You are making them sound complex, they are programmed as intended, they are new people but filled with old ideas, feminine chaos, a story as old as time. They are NPC, their behavior is very easy to understand. If they can't have it, you can't have it too. Its not great at all, 6 months old and has a ton of technical flaws but it was one of the pieces that set me on what I enjoy painting.

I also found out I love the autism involved in plotting perspective when doing this stuff over 3d.

i'll post a few

this one i was most proud of for years, simply because it was the best thing i'd drawn. a fluke golden drawing.

then there was this one, again because best drawing, but also because it had the distinction of doing things i'd never quite done before. also the gold tinge looked uniquely nice. 8 years old, but I still use it as my twitter banner funny enough, only colored thing that fit the space well. another fluke golden drawing.

originally the mouth was fugged up, it frustrated me so much every time i'd look at it because it was my best drawing, that I actually went back to fix it like a year later.

lastly this one, not a fluke or golden drawing, but a representative of overwhelming effort I spent during this period. I burnt out on the next drawing after making it, and have stuck to drawing primarily sketches ever since.

its been about 4 years since apparently, and there isn't really any one sketch above the others that I am especially proud of since then, even though i made far more progress after than before. kind of surprising now that i mention it.

The way you put an outline around the shading on the cheek, it doesn't work and it looks awful. Real shame because I think it kicks ass otherwise, just don't put outlines around your shading, use just hatching and let the shading imply the lines instead. Because this way, it just looks like he has a triangle in his face, instead of it adding depth to his face.

This was purely an act of defiance to an unjust world.

I used to have an easy commute,a half hour's leisurely stroll to my night supermarket job,and lots of time to create. But a new manager took over the store,one so feared it was like Thanos showing up, but he was an angry squirt of a guy like that boss from the Incredibles. And after a few minths of torture, the whole night crew was scatterd to the four winds. My new commute had me traveling to NYC to the Port Authority Bus terminal to catch another bus to some highway where I had to walk 30 blocks to the new store. So to keep myself sane I did that,and its poster sized :18"x24",and took 3 months to make. The monster has two right hands, and the figure of the sorceress wasn't the best,but I am still proud of even getting it done.

This was done in Photoshop entirely, the brand new toy I had fun experimenting with in the late 90s. It impressed an art director from Bethesda enough to offer a test : design a barbarian hero,a cyber manticore,and a ruined castle in an overgrown jungle,then storyboard a fight involving them. But time dragged in and I gave up after 3 weeks, lacking the skills to do it properly.

The black and white picture is 18"x24",and was a 3 months work,described elsewhere. The color one was a couple of days of experimenting. The beauty of Photoshop is that you can reuse bits of stuff,and here is another experiment that I used the altar piece again. The figures were photos found online and tweaked mercilessly. The art director liked the faux 3d effect I achieved, but would be disappointed if I submitted plain drawings for the test.

The one in here was a Japanese schoolgirl smeared, beveled,and filtered into the goofy dryad. I liked how the swirled stuff reminded me of stained glass, some random poking later,I built the rest of the picture around it. I can only imagine what programs are out there to conquer and master now,and I recommend free exploration of what they can do. Surprises lurk in every corner.

I tried to put nearly everything I could into it cause my homie is the best but I think I got really lucky and inspired so it kinda flowed out on it's own rather than forcing it if that makes sense.
