There's hundred's of better and more "fun" resources on construction but i'm still doing it anyway because i already started and figure it doesn't hurt as long as i'm still drawing something and putting in hours, If you're also planning to do it i would suggest you skip some of the indecipherable and ugly drawings.

Dude's a literal schizo, stop name-dropping him like his opinions mean anything. For one, it's literally impossible to do some of this stuff once and be conscious of how much or how little it helps you.

>>7054449
What would you consider better and more "fun" than this? Let me take a wild guess, some anime coomer shit, right? Listen, I love huge anime tits as much as-or possibly more-than anybody, but these fucked up boomer faces are a much more versatile and valuable learning tool than any of that stuff is and it should be immediately obvious why.

There isn't shit, he's just being a typical contrarian. However, in actually putting in the work he still deserves some respect as far as that goes.

me. I literally copied the entire FWAP and Ernest Norling's Perspective book during covid lockdown.
It's only the beginning, tip of the iceberg. It helps with drawing believable 3D forms and cartoons. The next step is to proceed with a good figure drawing book like Figure Drawing for All It's Worth and then something more advanced like Bridgman (if you want to draw realistic figures). Best to study in tandem with drawing for fun, or even better, a project.

It was painful to watch, you could see him regress with each page of copies he posted. It's less to do with the material and more to do with his mindset where he doesn't engage with the ideas presented in a book and just blitzkriegs through the entire thing without playing around with the concepts or analyzing what he's learned or how week he's learned it. He should go back to that gook perspective book. He seemed to at least put some effort into copying the drawings so he must have enjoyed it.

He would be better off just drawing whatever he likes instead of grinding book after book, actual mileage is acquired from original pieces. At least he is somewhat consistent with the grind, but that alone won't suffice.
