you don't really need videos, just copy other breakdowns and take what you like from them. as other anons said, bridgman is good for hands too. I forget what pic rel is from but I like it,

it really is just cylinders. I usually use reference collage's like this to practice. If your hand doesn't look right, literally just look at your own hand and pose in a similar way to get an understanding of the perspective.

All those feet "artists", every single one of them, they simply just traced 3d models. Legitimately and sincerely.

Literally I brute forced it in highschool by darwing my own hands in my sketchbook every day for like 2 -3 months straight because I was tired of drawing them behind the character's back. Recently did the same with feet like a year or 2 ago while pulling in some stylistic influence from fetish artists that specialize in them and I'm decent at both now.

Picrel is something from the canvas I'm working on rn if that helps

Step 1: copy pictures of hands
Step 2: create your own method and divide the hand into a few 3d shapes
3: practice drawing hands with and without reference, use the 3 shapes you created or find someone else's method which works for you

this applies to feet as well

>> No.7024931

Why don't you guys fucking know how to learn anything?

Learning to draw hands is no different than learning to draw anything else. JUST DO THE SHIT YOU DID TO LEARN THE OTHER SHIT, why is your brain so fucking BAD???

>> No.7024955

>>7021270
There are two secrets to drawing hands and feet for me
1: Treating each hand and foot as a much smaller figure that is a piece of the larger figure. You can't draw a figure and consider the hands and feet to just be little bits tacked on, each is as complex in its own right as the entire human body it is attached to, hands and feet are complex and you have to accept that and treat each individual one as a tiny figure drawing instead of trying to find fast easily solutions. You have to pose and understand the location of each toe and finger like the arm or leg of a whole figure.
2: Liking hands and feet. Hands aren't such a problem but a lot of artists who are the kinds of people who hate feet or associate them with nasty smells and hate looking at them are never going to get good at drawing feet because they don't want to look at them long enough to get it right. I think feet are pretty and enjoy looking at them, so it's easy for me to practice them. You can kinda tell when you find some really good digital painter whose rendering is off the charts and their feet are half-assed that they're the kind of person who just hates feet

>> No.7024959

>>7024931
They probably just don't want to look at feet and want some way to draw them without needing to look at them or hold the foot shape in their mind, but they're in denial that that isn't possible.

Idk what it is man. Maybe the anons here are young and have been in the school system their whole life but they all seem so afraid of failure that they don't dare try things out without a step by step instruction for every single moment in drawing.
