Something I used to do, which takes a lot of time, is search out for the texture and brush tip on CSP (on materials folder where you open 3d stuff etc) then export them as .bmp and put them on SAI2 files, they need to be b&w tho
You'll need to play with the settings to get where you want to but they won't look 100% the same

I did a quick study of the illustration on the brush's assets page. It works fine if you pair it with blur (I didnt, but the illustration seems to). Personally, the hard edge/soft edge combo doesn't really matter that much and I would just stick with the default + opacity jitter, plus size jitter if you REALLY need the pointy end.

depends what you’re looking to draw… the 3d assets can make your life easier if you’re doing webcomics/have ocs you draw often. the best brushes to start tend to be the ones with 100k+ downloads, because they’re wide appeal/easy to pick up, so you can just start with those. the gimmicky actions are not for me (like those that add an orange glow to the shadows and stuff) so i’m sorry i can’t help much there. i just think most of csps useful stuff/quality of life is baked in, like “brightness to opacity” functionality or the ease/draw along the lines of a reference layer functionality.

Interesting, I have PRO that I paid for so I got this to compare some of the features and try the animation tools in EX and noticed that there is brush load lag with it (not brush lag when painting, but when it comes to loading in brushes with large textures, which is frustrating because for some reason it reloads the texture when you reset a brush to default setting, which I do all the time). Pro works the same as it's always had.

The author made a "Deeple bite" (DeepL) version of the explanation images that could probably be of help lol.
You can find these translated instructions on the file at the bottom of the main file you download. The one named 翻訳版解説 (picrel).
If these don't help, the best you can do is check how it is used in his videos.
If you're used to how auto actions like this work, you shouldn't have much issues with it. If you're not, pick something original in English from the Assets store and see how it is used, I guess.

Perhaps watch some basic software tutorial on youtube. but Honestly its just drawing and messing around with whatever software you use.
I know its kind of a dissapointing answer but I've learned a lot just by doing that.

This might be a dumb request or question but I'm going to ask anyway.
I recently got an ipad pro and was wondering if it was possible to import Krita's default brushes into ArtStudio Pro. I use a lot of the Krita defaults on my PC and have been enjoying ASP quite a bit, but I have no idea if it's compatible with importing anything besides Photoshop's brush format. I don't think ASP's brushes are bad either, but I'd like the option of my usual linework tools if it's possible to import them.

Also small tangent, but why do applefags swear by procreate? I was a little unimpressed with it after giving artstudio a try, it just has so many more options and felt way closer to photoshop/krita on my pc. I guess because it's "basic" and "intuitive" in comparison?

I have never heard of importing Krita's brushes to ArtStudio or any other program, I guess you could try to recreate them with the texture and brush tip.

I'll be honest, I do like Procreate, as you said it's basic and easy to use but ArtStudio is for sure more superior and a better option, people say it's like a mix of Procreate + Photoshop, plus it has alot of Photoshop features which is quite amazing, I really love the way I can import Photoshop brushes and they'll just look the same while on Procreate I have to tweak them a little, as as far I know, Procreate is pushed by Apple while ArtStudio isn't

Have you guys found any brushes for Krita?

what's a recommended brush that can be used for both painting and Lineart? it can be a basic one that's already included in CSP
for the most part, I use a sketching brush and sometimes a G pen and some similar style brushes
but I like it when artists do the sketch, and then the lineart, and then render with the same brush, it makes everything look more cohesive and you can get away with a more rough style, because man I'm so tired of trying to do perfect lineart with my screenless tablet

Can someone give me some tips on making this stupid brush? I'm stuck with this single, stupid conundrum.

I've gotten close to the roughness of the original but it only works well at really small sizes. I end up having to resize the picture to get the pencil-like roughness at a larger canvas.

But when I try to go at it straight from a larger brush size, it just doesn't look right. If I can just solve this issue, then I've managed to recreate it in CSP. Any ideas?

all the COFE pencils look identical, and they all look and feel like they were just imported directly as photoshop brushes. if i paid for this i'd feel ripped off, there's zero resemblance with the demo images. it's always a worry when brush creators offer PS and CSP versions - did they actually bother recreating the brushes using CSP? in my experience, most don't, so thank fuck for people sharing it like you.
