That is not the issue. the issue is AI companies say they do not store copyright images, therefore no infringement. But they do store the image, lossy storage is still storage. Google specifically got a waiver to show images on google results after being sued. Okay, but what if when it's recreating an image, it now does it so closely that the image feels as though it's breaking copyright and plagiarism? Isn't that evidence that it's 'memorised' how to draw a specific image? It may not actually have that specific image in its code or in a database, but it has all the instructions to draw it perfectly doesn't it?

There may not be any laws about this specific style of breach of copyright, but I think since this is a 'for-profit' company, and it's training images come directly from the people and industries they wish to make redundant, I find it pretty hard to believe that the law isn't going to go against this AI companies.
