What's over? I don't understand what you're ever trying to say, OP
How do moeblobs stop you from creating dynamic foreshortened drawings?

Just draw a bunch of circles add some lines to indicate perspective and then paste anatomy on top
Why does this board make even simple shit like drawing moeshit so complicated

How can one possibly hope to meaningfully understand, much less effectively incorporate, 111 hours of video instruction on perspective? This sounds like something which you could pick bits and pieces from to bolster your existing workflow once you're already at a decent skill and comfort level with drawing, but I'm sure many a beg/prebeg will watch it, try to do the exercises, but find their drawing output is either a cluttered trainwreck and/or effectively unchanged when they go to draw something original.

You have to possess a very good understanding of form before you embark on such a endeavor with going deep on perspective, if you are not familiar with form how the fuck are you even going to think to draw it in perspective? Unironically start with primitives like bricks, stack them up and see how they change in relationship to your eye level.

If you're relying on drawing lines out to vanishing points as step one of your drawing process, it's already over.

I was adding my thoughts to what you said, not disagreeing with you. If you don't have a decent off the cuff feel for form and perspective and instead rely entirely on mechanical perspective plotting to get anything to look right from step #1, you're not going to get much out of things like OP's video.
For whatever people may think about Drawabox, it's going to be more beneficial to most beginners than diving into advanced topics in mechanical perspective.

I'm a beg and shouldn't be talking, but I started perspective a few days ago, and it really feels like all you need to know, at least when it comes to the hard stuff, is 1,2,3 point and if something is below or above the horizon line. How close you are/and if you're standing left or right is important too, but yeah

They keep polishing the coal with every technique and study, convinced to find that diamond of appeal, only to realize that they were born with the curse of finding nothing more than guano inside of all that coal

Watch the first half, second half is tertiary and best saved for once you’ve developed other skills. First is the fundamentals of perspective in one and two point, second is mostly three point, and while valuable is unnecessary for learning things like anatomy, gesture, color, light, etc. which are more motivating milestones than mastering all perspective from the beginning. If you want to draw well you need to enjoy it and do it all the time, best way to do that is study in the order that allows you to produce fun pieces fastest.

those diagrams aren't part of the video coruse
the reason why the course is so long is because he teaches through demonstrations and doesn't speed up his drawing.
most demos will do that so thats why they'd be more shorter but Olsen's video course is over 170 demonstrations. so obviously 100 hours is pretty reasonable

you could just speed up the videos yourself or just skim through things you feel like you already know

people bitching about the length must also bitch about a dictionary having to many words. This is a resource, not a long trip. it being more dense is to your benefit
