Gabe posts about seething over his mutuals being better/faster/more popular than him, asks for shortcuts to "get good but not pro" and other inane questions to negotiate with himself out of studying. If you see a dumb thread about comics or those other topics I mentioned there's a 100% chance it's Gabe, and once you start looking for them you never stop seeing them (provided it's Gabe Season, which we're enduring currently).
This has been going on for years and the only change to the pattern I can come up with is he's stopped constantly reciting a long list his influences (none of which look anything like the abominations he produces, OP being an example)

Anime is not an artstyle. Spirited Away, Final Fantasy VII Advent Children and Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt are all anime, yet look completely different.

Yes, the anime style does not exist, that adjective was put by the American Westoids to differentiate the capeshit comic from the comics and animations from Japan, in Japan anime is everything that is subject to local animation, manga is the comic strip, etc. .

If you were Japanese and you drew anything like that, you could publish it and any Westerner would say that it was anime, but since they are such crabs, they prefer to continue saying that anime is a style.
