It's fun, but the novelty of it is already wearing off. When ai art first came out, there were some worry of how good it can get. But seeing it right now with dall-e 3, it's shocking just how artificial it all looks. Checking /v/ and all the ai threads, all the ai drawings look the same except for different shades of color. Not to mention with the furry shit, it's easy to tell where it's taking it's images from.
Disappointing, but those with no taste just see a "beautiful image" by the ai and think this is the future. To make matters worse, obtaining an image is literally a slot machine and designed as such. Ai art really is the perfect filter for these people.

To me no, but AI is getting good. Right now it can capture tone, theme and styles better than majority of /ic/. Two years ago Novel AI it was samey and had a hard time making humans. And the arguments were, " how AI will always look bland," turns out that was cope. Its crazy to me how good this is getting. Imagine what its gonna be in five years.

I think artist will still be relevant and a skill to learn so you can make what you want exactly. Same with writers. In my view I think writing plot wise is still better with a human, but with AI you can change the style of your prose. But that can change too.

I think that people should use this as a tool to increase their output and market themselves to keep a income. But the majority that cry about it are gonna be left in the dust, and the ones with a brain are gonna make it. Just like every new technology that came out.
