Not any of them but what makes you think somebody who doesn't see the need for 3D instead relies on photo poses?
I find it fair quicker to do quick and dirty sketches to get the pose I want instead of digging through refs or posing a model. In my opinion, artists should generally strive to be able to do this. To some degree photo ref, and to a much greater degree 3D posing, is a crutch -- something that can at least let you walk, but once you no longer need it it's nothing but a hindrance.

I mostly said it in jest, but I do see hypocrisy in their attitude. I'm sure they all draw on the computer, using brushes to make texture work easy, while using photo references open on a second monitor, while having a video tutorial open on a third monitor - Like where is the line drawn so that what you do is okay, but what others do is bad?
I'm more of a "whatever gets the job done" type of guy, if OP's work looks good then who cares if he uses a 3D model to get his perfect reference, or uses it as a starting spot for his sketch? I assume he has to change it up somewhat (just like with a reference).

This isn't an excuse for him to make shit work with it though - I've seen plenty of shitty drawings using 3D as well.

I don't follow. If anything, being able to stage a pose then move the camera around it would help improve your ability to visualize the figure in your mind's eye. Not as much as being able to walk around a live model, no, but in the absence of that, a 3D model can help.
It's common knowledge that visualization ability relies heavily on your familiarity with a subject, typically achieved through observation and drawing study. The reason the apple is such a common reference point test for visualization skill is because most people are very familiar with apples - they've seen thousands of them, have handled them, have sliced them open, have compared different instances to see which one is preferable to eat. If you have good visualization skills, you have all the knowledge about an apple to create the mental visualization of an apple.
That said, sure, if you never put this skill to the test and ALWAYS just draw 1:1 from reference without forcing your brain to visualize the subjects you've studied, this visualization skill typically won't just improve all on its own.
