How do you put so many characters in a single image, most of them draw generic shit of a single character, but it's really difficult to draw groups of several people, what do you think???

Am I the only one who highly dislike these sort of compositions? Cartoons do them often and it's incredibly boring/ugly to look at. OP's picture is highly detailed but it's hard to see what I'm looking at with everything just blending together as well.
