But I also understand artists' hate towards it and don't think it's a good idea to have an ai general on /ic/... maybe...
I guess it could work as a containment thread instead of havin 10 different ai discussion threads?

I hear this all the time and no, any sign ai is welcome on ic is bad. They'll try to join oc threads, draw this in your style threads etc. Total hostility towards ai is preferable on ic. It's not art. You don't learn. You are just larping as an artists.

in my case a few months ago i wrote about SD but was surprised that the others in the artgroup didn't really share my enthusiasm.
i can understand it. but there is so much potential technologically.

the way i see it, at the most extreme, using your brain to perfectly shape something to your vision and ideas is a desireable thing. i don't know why people hang on to the idea of doing things manually so much.

besides, at least currently we will still have a decent amount of manual work even with AI. at least if an artist wants to have proper control over their output and the artistic decisions being made in the end.

we're in the semi-auto stage right now. so imo just enjoy it.

i literally discourage the posting of AIA here. or at least the dumping of it.
because i'm not interested in gens, i'm more interested in workflows.

or as you put it, "the process of creating". because believe it or not, even AIA has that. even with only manual and sliders input.

for example, for my wildcards, i am currently in the process of thinking up a background setting using 3-5 words. it's an interesting challenge.
