I think you just got a bit of a tough design going for ya. I think silverfish look sleek from far away, but up close, they look a bit chunky as far as their armor goes. Id even say my version still looks a bit heavy. But i think you can do it with some good thought. You dont gotta do an oc of mine, i dont draw pretty things too often. But I'll leave my boys here if either of them give you fancy.
They are aliens from the distant future, a googol years away. The tall one is spiteful, purebread warrior who lives to serve the collective good of their race, that suffers from an energy crisis. The fat one is a genetically-altered engineer and pilot who serves no one except himself. He just wants to set up on a planet where he can continue his bloodline, away from his species and the other waring races

I have those two if someone wants to give one of them a try.

The blonde one is a magical doll, who has been abandoned after her creator has died. She's been waiting there since then. I also like drawing her with button eyes, doll joints and so on.

The blue haired one is a water/ice dragon girl. She lives in a library within an ancient forest and keeps watch over the forest. She has an extensive knowledge about history but not so much modern stuff - That's why she happily trades her wisdom and advice in exchange for knowledge about the current world and more modern items, like clothes and so on.

originally planned for her to be in a DnD style universe with this backstory: traveling merchant goblin girl who doesn't have much money and only survives off what she can find and sell, though refuses to steal. Her clothes are stitched together from rags and plants. Her appearance and race make people distrust her regardless, which makes business harder than it already is, so she goes it alone.

i'm not a big DND fan so i'm not certain yet what to do.
put her in a human world where mythical creatures are supposed to stay hidden from humans?
put her in a world where all races live together harmoniously?

They never were the critique general you're claiming they were, it's just a redraw thread. Critique isn't the first thought people have unless it's asked for. Check the replies on the goblinfag post even he got some when he asked for them.
