This isn't as new as you think. I've been in a lot of work or school based book clubs for example, I'm 30 this year, and I've never met someone irl who has ever read, say, the Wizard Knight. The author isn't unknown, the book isn't difficult, it isn't rare or out of print, your can get the audio version if you want, yet outside of the niche forums online it's just "my" experience with the book that is real to me. If you're not reading Stephen King, GRRM or Brandon Sanderson you're basically reading alone. No reason why that should change for anime.

They hired an artists, some lame westoid fag, to redo the "Art-Style" and avoid the accusation of "stealing other artists art styles". And that's the main issue. The art style looks different now, much more limited in expression, and it doesn't look as cool as the previous one.

The consistency of frame by frame + mixing of difference in timing the frames is what gives animation or I guess anime in this case its uniqueness.
