Not discord but OCC has a telegram group chat and there's an "unofficial" group chat started by members that wanted to get feedback. It used to be great but unfortunately needs new blood i.e a lot of people don't comment anymore. It used to be one of my favourite communities to get feedback from but alas....it's quiet now

I'm the one who wrote "Aguri Guide" that was shilled on this board for years (you can search for "aguri guide" on the archive). Aguri is just the name of a character from Precure and nothing more. I wrote it as an utter beginner originally for a snippet guide kindle book sold on amazon for a few cents in 2015 then extracted the cliff notes in a random debate on /ic/. Ever since, it was peddled on /ic/ not by me but by others as good advice. Although due to its age at this point, it's a forgotten guide.

Point I'm trying to make is, people want their hand held from A to Z. There is an untapped market for art guides that will promise you zero to hero skills if you do 1 thing step by step. It's why people like the Cubebrush guy and the various Bootcamps that sprung up in the last few years were successful. Do people actually finish those programs? A very small percentage.

Roadrunner's guide falls into this category. That's why his server is dead, but the few that stick around are his paypigs and dependent on his "advice'. If I can easily curate advice just the same way as he did, anyone can. And make money, too.

Also you don't have to pay to get into his server. I found his server through the invites he left on his YT channel and obviously I didn't pay for the guide he created. I can't even wrap my head around someone paying money for a list of youtube playlists curated by him since that's what the 2nd guide is.

Honestly, Im pretty sick of discord servers, lately I've hada lot of sour experiences, given little feedback, being talked or posted over, not being able to join in conversations, it's tiresome after a while. And the struggle to make friends is something that for some reason I dont have the energy to do anymore, even though it was never a problem to me, it feels like Im too stupid for everyone around or that they dont really need me, Im too low skilled in comparison, anyway. And at the end, the places I've been have been far from enjoyable one way or another, too much shitpost, too much drama, too much autism...

While I have had good experiences overall, Im just lacking way too much energy to deal with everyone's nonsense and also being treated as a nuance to bother doing this anymore. Maybe I just need to find a better community, a better place to be around, better people to talk to, but I feel like I could use some time alone, myself.
