When do people start posting ocs?
I don't have any or I would post.

I'm back friends! I want to try to draw in return once I see it so feel free to reply to your drawing of her with your OC!

A bit of info on her:

She's fairly quiet but not shy, she just doesn't speak much unless she knows exactly what she wants to say. She's a bit snooty but not rude.

Her hair is very fluffy and coily, like a sheep's wool. She's busty and not really chubby but not a Barbie doll either. Oh and also thick thighs.

She doesn't have a super extensive backstory since she's rather new, but I'm thinking she could be a game protagonist for future projects so I might have fun with that idea using her.

Feel free to draw her doing whatever!

Her name is Medley, the so-called Verdant Princess. Nothing really makes her a princess other than being born into a fairly affluent family.
Slightly on the posh side, she enjoys tea and gardening. She also has an unusual skill of fortune telling.

Michelle doesn't have many friends because people don't trust her, sometimes they can't know for sure if she's lying to them or not. Trying to be more sociable, she may behave a little awkward. She is honest and tells the truth, even if someone can get angry on her.

I've been drawing other people's OCs as warmups for my own drawings. I don't know why I find it easy to jump into the drawing. To me they're no pressure drawings. Kind of a reason why I don't post my OCs because part of me doesn't want to feel obligated to draw someone's OC. I just choose whichever one sparks something and going with that vibe. Almost like drawing on an impulse and not thinking too hard. Plus I've been finding it fun and it gives me a chance to practice techniques I've been studying.
I've appreciated how much positive feedback I've been getting it's been a confidence booster. Thank you.

Woah, what the fuck, I put this in my favorites back when it got the DD.

Then, a couple months back, I was looking for some retro game references to draw my character and I ended up thinking of Marina as a good candidate. After watching some Super Smash Brothers fan remakes with her on Youtube, I was reminded of this pixel art, but couldn't find it anywhere.
Sure, there are lots of cool results if you google around, but this specific palette, with the yummy maroon, the healthy, yellowish green, the slightly yellow but also reddish white... these colors were burned into my memory and it was very frustrating not being able to find the picture online.

What a pleasant coincidence, to find this here. Your art has been in my kokoro for almost 13 years now, anon. No idea it was by a d/ic/k, I'm shook shook.

2010 I started college that year and I distinctively remember waking up on the morning I got the DD, logged into deviantart and was like

i was friends with the author of pixel logic before he made that; we were all spriters on the now defunct board of The spriters resource, called pixeltendo. That entire book is more or less, the distilled essence of that whole board culture. We all ripped sprites, edited and critiqued each other. My two main pixel art rivals, Anubis Jr and Shawn Martins have their stuff featured in Pixel logic. I even ended up meeting Anubis Jr IRL after knowing him on the internet for years. They're both probably the most talented pixel artists I ever met online to this day.

His name is Gilgamesh or Mesh for short. He’s a character from my illustrated novel I’ve been working on. His full background is pretty long so I’ll try to be brief.

He’s an honest, hard working chap with a good head on his shoulders. He tends to be a little on the simple side - great company, good morals, but a little slow. Not very book smart. He used to be a serf, worked hard toiling the land for next to nothing - had a mother and sisters to support, father died early on. Life changed up some when he got abducted by magic space aliens (lol) and conscripted into their army.

He got an “enhancement” during the conscription process that extended his natural life span and increased his durability & strength some. Side effects are the antlers he’s got there on his head. (He’s basically just a slightly better human though, he can’t throw cars into buildings or anything like that.)

He’s been a foot soldier ever since. Never heard nor saw from his family again. Doesn’t even really know why or what he’s fighting, but it’s a kill or be killed kinda life. Got promoted a few times, takes good care of his squad.
There’s a romance and bunch of other shit but that doesn’t really matter.
