I made this drawing of the boy I love, he liked It but some people are saying It has "no soul" because looks like a picture with a filter, also accusing me of using AI.

I can't stand this anymore, I'm so sad people won't appreciate my job, whats wrong with the drawing?

The light is incoherent and seems to be coming from different places on different parts of the picture. The bird for example does not cast the same shadow on the shoulder that the arms in the front very strongly do. The bird also doesn't seem to cast any shadows.

The hair is almost completely flat and has no shadows or shines and do not cast a shadow on the face, the neck is also complete devoid of shadows.

From looking at these, your picture gives off the impression that it was put together from different pieces that do not match. This is actually something AI does.

I think they say this because it is sort of photo realistic at places like the face but that "realism" is betrayed by the lack of light details. Filters by function "filter" out the details based on some algorithm, so I'd say that is why they likely thought of it from your picture.

I tried to add some shadows to make it a little more cohesive.
