How's my lineart progress? I think I have most stuff right by this point, just trying to figure out her upper chest specifically her left clavicle/proximal arm area. Also I just realized I haven't colored in digital yet, lmao

If the gun is facing the proper direction then the gun arm is too short. If the arm is supposed to be foreshortened either his aim sucks or the gun is wrong. Either way the arm need a lot of work.

Color is a distraction, direction and laying out values is what makes fur "Furry". When follicles are looked from above coming out of the skin, some of that skin will show through and not be as saturated as solid patches. Fur that isn't next to other fur will reflect the same light hitting it giving it those notes of gold sheen, while clumps will be darker and more saturated to the "actual color" of the fur. Basically the color of fur will only reveal itself in center/ half tone light and everything else can be phoned in afterward.

Also, smudge tool can be useful with "scattering" in the brush settings so that it actually blends. Dual brush is also helpful on regular brush strokes if you're using some bristle type brush as well as "direction" and "initial direction" settings under "shape dynamics" (Photoshop).

Probably. I did comms when my art wasn't great and charged $16 a pose, it worked ok. The one guy consistently bothers me on Twitter for more but I don't like doing coomer stuff, so I never did anything else. I think coom helps cause they'll also be repeat customers. She's pretty cute, but maybe tone down the bloom just a bit.It makes it just a little straining to look at. That line transition on her right leg going from a light line to a dark line is really nice, you should do that for more of the figure for consistency's sake. The hair confuses me though, it looks like the back end of her skull is lower than the front end which I don't think you're intending.

Here, if you want something actually helpful and not "It blows" try shortening up her neck a little and tweaking the hair for a better sense of 3 dimensional space. As is the hair on the back of her head sortof looks like a mullet, which I don't think you're intending based on the girly pose. Maybe try bringing a tuft of hair over her shoulder so it poofs outward.

As indicated by red and black, It's the self-loathe angst that holds you back from wanting to continue. (Your art has got something going for it though, it has a lot of pop and would make a great comic style if you improve).
You're young and not wise enough to regret wanting to go back and deciding not to draw, others would have given their soul to do the opposite. You want to be better but you are limited by your desires of what you want to draw. My suggestion is to keep doing what you're doing, but incorporate the foundations and fundamentals to a greater extent into your sketches/drawings. Draw actual animals, draw their heads, everything. Most importantly learn to treat every drawing as disposable before you get mad at it halfway through and inevitably treat it as disposable anyway. And don't give a shit about likes and subscribes either as you're right in that most people who do that aren't even artists and are dumb. You know when you did a good job and that is it's own reward.

I would suggest really playing with your shapes. Here in this drawing, everything looks too even. Which isn't a bad thing really, as you study from life that tends to be a habit when creating or drawing cartoon-like characters. However, for your features and style to really stick out, you'll need to experiment with shapes.
Shapes being any of the body parts. In this case, the Rib Cage and Pelvis are just way to even almost going down a straight line. Try making the Rib Cage much smaller, and the pelvis much larger. This should gather more appeal in your works.

Definitely looking better. It's always a good idea to occasionally stop and examine your drawing from different angles and to flip it to make sure everything is evenly balanced and wouldn't look out of place or wonky if the image was viewed differently. Unless you're working with radical perspectives or place a heavy emphasis on certain viewpoints, that is.

Most of the time I fumble like I'm in the dark and feel like any okayish looking picture I make was just pure lucky strokes.
I am horribly inconsistent as well, one day I'm okayish next day it's like I'm mentally disabled. It's exhausting. When I try to color it looks extremely amateurish as well even if I put in effort.

Thanks so much anon! So I use procreate mostly for all my stuff, you can get a pretty convincing pencil look with the Narinder pencil or the HB Pencil (I'm pretty sure they're both default brushes, if I remember right.) I also put a paper texture on a multiply layer on low opacity both above the drawing and above the background colour layer, this gives it a nice paper look! I approach drawing similar to how you'd do a normal pencil sketch with basic cross hatching techniques

You can achieve a pretty similar feel in most digital art software, though it's a little fiddly to get the right brushes down. Procreate just feels super intuitive in a way I really enjoy working on. I hope I could help, if you have any more art questions feel free to shoot me a message

Does anyone have any solid tips/advice or videos on how to do anthro faces well? I find I either lean too hard into human features or animal features with my stuff.

Final touches is adding other brush strokes, that can be anything.

Adjustments is creating filters to enhance the image. There are countless ways to do it.

A very easy adjustment would be to duplicate the image and set it to overlay, which is the exact equivalent of creating a curve adjustment with the first point (63, 31) and second point (191, 223). Then reduce the opacity of this adjustment.

gather a lot of ref, pinterest is a good place to start
you gotta build your visual library so whenever you draw a character try to incorporate elements from the stuff on your clothing refs, this'll help stuff stick to ur brain
also spend some time looking at how stuff is stitched and put together, you dont really need to become a seamstress, but just knowing how to show that clothing is not made out of 1 extruded piece but various chunks of fabric stitched together does a lot to make it feel wearable and not like a potato sack
finally clothing design is like any other type of visual design, its about communication, if you've got an idea or an aesthetic, be sure to keep in mind concepts like repetition, contrast, big medium small, etc. you generally want things to feel at least a bit cohesive, either thru colors, accessories, materials, etc, so try coming up with the details for 1 article of clothing, then see if you can turn the ideas of that 1 article into another piece, like incorporating the pattern of a hat into pants, or having spikes as a recurring motif
most importantly tho, just try, no amount of preparation will make you first 2, 5, 10 tries not suck, you just gotta get thru them

For me personally, it helps to add the colors after the shading. I like to encompass my characters in a light grey color, in front of a darker grey background. This allows me to see my mask better, when I create a clip mask for my colors and shades/highlights. And it helps if I shade with a color other than grey.

I like to use a combination of the lasso tool, blend tool, and round brush for my shading.
