I urge femanons who draw to go work in child care. Parents love nannies with cool skills. I work part time, practice my fundies with the older kid while baby naps. Plenty of snacks. I do mostly stuff I would normally do at home anyways (cook dinner, a bit of laundry).

I'm married with no kids of my own, so I've got plenty of free time to keep up with house chores and my art.

Only con is having to cosplay as a trad wife. I used to look like your typical tumblr hoe and toned it down a bit, but that would have been the case for a lot of jobs anyway

Whatever you do OP, don't fall for this trap. Tableguy might be married, have a kid, but take a good look at the legacy he's leaving behind. Do you really think his wife wakes up every morning, proud of what he does? She loathes him behind his back, not supporting him, quietly angry at what he does. Why didn't I marry someone normal she asks herself, why can't he be someone who doesn't draw freakish things, someone I can be proud of calling my husband?
His kid, is going to find his work later on in life and they're going to regret it. "You're tableguy's kid? That's your dad?" No way that kid makes it past high school before looking down the barrel of a gun and calling it quits. Why couldn't my dad draw nicer things? Why is he such a failure, boasting about his /ic/ meme fame like a badge of honor? One shot, one kill.
That's not a life you want for yourself. Get a job, earn a living with a trade, work your hours and then come home and draw for yourself. Draw what makes you happy.
Having a wife and child is not a magic drawing elixir. He's drawing out of desperation, craving acceptance from others outside of the people who pretend to love him. He's a failure as a father, a husband and a man.
Don't end up like tableguy. You can do better.

You spend wayyyyy too much time thinking about me, and writing blog posts about me. I’m not real. This isn’t how I am in real life. I spend some small portion of my day drawing and commiserating with you NPCs online, but I spend a majority of my time doing chores, hanging out with wife, playing with kid, seeing people in real life, shopping for food, cooking, etc. If tableguy were to get deleted tomorrow, that’s fine. He’s made up. I still get all my drawing gains from all these years. I can just draw something else. You over estimate how much I value my time with you, and what the success of my “brand” is. It’s just for fun.

I had officemates and direct reports who I saw everyday for 10 hours a day for 10 years. One day, I was just felt done with work, so I said farewell to them and have not spoken to any of them since. My point is, we should enjoy this time together now. One day I’ll disappear and never think of you ever again, but today it makes me sad to think of you sitting in here all alone waiting for me to come back like that futurama dog. I like this place a lot, but nobody is here forever.

>>6680274
I used to draw for 3-4 hours everyday afterwork. Make drawing your vice. Make it your guilty pleasure activity. The thing that you do to get away from your work. Something that you look forward to. Today I was excited about drawing because I was entertaining family all weekend and didn’t have free time. I had so much I wanted to draw bottled up inside. I finally finished my chores and sat down to draw. I drew for 12 minutes before kid woke up. Best 12 minutes of drawing all week. It felt glorious. That’s all I got. Time is very valuable. I’ve mainly done call center stuff in the past and nobody wants to be on the phones forever trying to maintain a quota set by people who don’t have to deal with being on production, you want to be the guy scoring calls from the grunts or writing emails. If you take up a call center job and you’re still on the phones after 6 months with no promise of promotion you might as well quit and do something else and not waste your life away. Once you’re promoted you should never have to apply to an office job where you must speak to people over the phone.

No. A well-balanced man chose a wife, one that isn't degenerate enough so as to be able to raise his kids, because he knows that's what union between a man and a woman is supposed to serve.

> A wife in this day and age does not equal a triumph, nor does it represent normalcy.
Not what I was implying. Simply that's it's a much, much better and more fulfilling goal than stroking one's crotch on a regular basis. Even animals have better standard: your subsistance has better standard.

> I'd hate to be married to someone like you.
Assuming you're a woman, I wouldn't consider you wife material as-is. You'd need to be tamed, like most woman today. I can pass on some amount of superficial flaws, but that kind of arrogant, irrational mindset... Not what I'd want my kids to emulate.

>In this day and age, when schools have become gender indoctrination centers led by pronoun radicals hell bent on warping the minds of children
Boo-oo, the world is unkind. Did you complained to teaacheeeer? Or did you man-up and find ways to use the situation to your advantage, like wise heroes of the past. Second strike on victim mindset btw.

> unless you're some left leaning elitist who lives in the world of make believe

It's like that guy who just ""threw"" about 20 arrows, none it the target, one's in his eye, still expect people to bow (!) to his wisdom and skills.

Alright. Now, go educate yourself, go read the classics, and let's talk again in a decade or so.

If you had a wife, you wouldn't talk like this. If you were loved, you wouldn't answer like this. Clearly, you have neither. Forever alone.
>point 2
Animals do have better standards. They know to steer clear of someone like you.
>point 3
You're not father material. There's nothing remotely appealing about you. You're the desperate option no one else wants.
>point 4
I told you how the world is, and how I caught you backstepping on your initial response. "n-not what I was implying, i swear." Typical child mindset.

Incoherent ramblings. Nothing more.

Well, I'm glad we have you as a shining example of manhood. You'll make some poor, desperate woman a great husband someday.
And remember, you crying back about these points will only further your incomprehensible, inaccurate, unintelligent view of the world. Go learn English. Or I can put you in your place in your native tongue. Your choice. ;)

My girlfriend and I live together, both work from home office-based jobs, and split chores (eg. I cook one day, she cooks the next). If it's quiet at work I can doodle shit or look for things I want to study, then jump straight into drawing right after work on days I'm not cooking.

We don't want kids, just pets, and most of our friends were made at uni and are also artists or make crafts and shit, so we talk/hang out over Discord voice chat and draw together some evenings whilst "socializing" at the same time.

Basically any time I'm not at work or doing some sort of chore I'm ether drawing shit or playing games with friends.

"Should" eh? I know the trend with the online kiddies is to be le based trad and all, but I've never had the desire to have kids.
I have a theory that creative people often redirect the generative drive to have kids into other pursuits, which is why history is filled with childless authors, artists, philosophers, etc.
I do find some benefit in having a supportive gf (now wife for me) who shares the same goals. They're still out there, anons, just stop chasing bitches.

naw. William Blake, Edgar Allan Poe, Nietzsche, the list goes on ... you can say it was because they were schizos, incels, whatever, but history is filled with creative people who never had kids.

I draw destroyed buildings and cities. I've been told it's a bit ironic considering my profession I guess.
I also draw a lot during my job itself but nothing worth posting honestly, it's mostly quick sketches, but being able to quickly sketch and have a good sense of perspective is very handy. A lot of my peers don't know how to draw and rely exclusively on 3D modelling.

I don't think I post that much here considering I finish one of these like once per month at most (some times more), and I don't like to spam so at the end I rarely post my stuff around here.
>You have been here for a while, haven't you
I've been lurking for very long but it always felt like /ic/ is way more focused and interested in character and figure drawing than anything else. Which is perfectly fine, but as I don't do those things (and I've tried, but I always lose interest eventually) when I post it always feels a bit out of place lol. Even then, might sound corny, but there's always something to learn among other fellow artfags (I think). Maybe some day I'll get enough motivation to finally try figure drawing, who knows.
>Is it because you like broken things?
lmao, I guess.

Thanks a lot anon. I wouldn't know what to tell you. Been drawing most of my life with paper and pencil and not long ago I made the jump to digital, which has been fun so far. I don't think my workflow is anything out of this world, just draw a general idea, and if I like it I start adding detail, layer by layer, until it's done. IMO the most important things are having a good grasp of how perspective works, and if you can get shadows and reflections properly done you are golden. At the end it's a very mechanic process.

I don't really get what else you guys are doing unless you have kids. I work the typical 8 hour workday, usually spend an hour getting ready for work, and spend 30 minutes of my day total commuting. I also spend about 1 to 2 hours in the gym 6 days a week. Even with all that though I still am able to get about 4 hours of drawing in on workdays. There's very rarely been points in my life where I just straight up don't have time it's always my own fault. If you legitimately don't have you need to change career paths

Also they make phones with pressure sensitivity now and some of them even run full featured CSP (pic related). It just lags when you use bigger canvases (I do like 4000px by 4000px) and especially the liquify tool. They're pricey (about $1000ish) but I felt like it was worth it for getting that time back in my day. Normies are kind of retarded and get pissy at my job for slacking if I pull out a sketchbook to draw in, but if I draw on my phone they don't notice. I also prefer this on the go because it's way easier to pull out my phone (the stylus fits inside the phone too like a DS) and draw on that instantly when I'm bored than pull out an entire sketchbook. A sketchbook really feels like something I have to have a large amount of downtime to be worth pulling out where my phone I can draw on it instantly when I'm microwaving my wagieslop or something.
