Has art YouTube got any better as of late? Any good art YouTuber recommendations?

Two new channels that caught my attention

It is still the same shit, devolving into reacts, drama and redraws.

>devolving into reacts, drama and redraws.
kinda sad, but that's the easy way to get views, for creatives a lot aren't too good at making inventive videos

>art youtube
This shitty rat race is not worth getting involved in. It's just white girls tripping over each other to be the more popular one. It's all in the artstyle, you can tell. They radiate an aura of narcissism.

Order some books written by the old masters and research veteran artists with actual credits to their name.

All the art videos in my recommendations have dumb clickbait titles that put me off from wanting to watch them.

Have you considered taking 5 minutes to look for art channels that arent run by 19 year old girls? They're everywhere. I won't link any because it's super fucking easy to find but none of you can handle a simple task without being attention raped by TikTok if you arent being stimulated

OP pic doesn’t even have any actual art youtuber represented kek. They’re all commentary/drama channels.

OP, they are many great art channels, especially for trad. Stay away from clickbaity LavenderTowner-esque videos, they’re /beg/traps and aimed at children. Still, it’s hard to recommend something specific unless you tell us what you’re looking for.

I still watch the same couple of guys from years ago. On the asian jeans side of things there have been a couple of helpful channels, some animators, teachers, illustrators. There's this recent trend of breaking down art styles of other artists after this one channel took off and there's now four or so that popped up rapidly with varying quality.

Some of my favorites. Most aren't updated very often (or at all anymore) but there are older videos to watch if you haven't before.
I'm also posting mostly timelapse channels because at this point, after learning fundamentals, I find those to be more useful than the typical advice videos. The key is to take notes about the video while you watch. Don't just be a static viewer, you don't learn that way. Slow down the video. What do you notice about their process? How can you apply it to your work? Then it's most helpful to do a focused study while keeping your notes nearby and making sure you apply what you've learned.

Timelapses from one of my favorite artists, the way he paints and continuously adds/changes things along the way is very interesting

I've started getting a lot of videos from East Asian artists who draw and show you what they're doing without (or with very little) speedups and edits.

https://www.youtube.com/@Mmmmonexx
https://www.youtube.com/@Chommang
https://www.youtube.com/@studysoeun
https://www.youtube.com/@QuietInMyDojo

Since they're just focused on masking semi-ASMR drawing videos, there's straight up no drama and they're super chill. I have a feeling a few of them (especially Mmmmonexx) are learning how to draw themselves but what they teach is still good if you're starting out.

Drama kills communities.
It attracts children and low IQ individuals and takes time and attention away from actual topics (in this case, art creation).
It also polarizes opinions on morality and politics, while promoting attention-whoring.

The end result is the wave of impassionate underage and almost-underage newfags complaining about lolicon, zoo, coom and other types of art deemed problematic.

Anyway, check out Tsitra360.

theres always something to learn.
things i dislike,
music playing
music playing over timelapse
timelapses
unboxing supplies (dont just unbox them, dedicate a video and show me why you use it)

things i like
traditional tools
longer than 8 minutes
longer than 18 minutes
commentary

showing off art books is a category that generally inspires me, but then i start drawing and forget what the rest of the video was.
art and craft of comics also interests me. but i get tired of superheroes and prefer a wider range of art styles.
