If you spend around 2 hours for each, that's 150 hours of work per month. That's less than 6 hours of work per day.

Get known for drawing specific characters and people will flock to you more and more. I'll list off some artists for examples

Dbaru is known for drawing Catgirls, specifically Kitty Katswell
BigDad is known for drawing Gaz and Rouge the bat but has other girls he draws
Joelasko is known for drawing Looney tune characters, specifically the gilfs and other characters similar to looney tunes
Or you could be the artist who's more known for their OCs than their fanart such as artists like Gerph or SLB who has so many OCs he's basically designing them for the sole purpose of fishing for commissions because that's the only way he's gonna draw them more than never again

Figuring out the game is easy, what's difficult is trying to become noticed in a sea of saturation so you should also do comics as well, animations certainly boosts the clout. Also draw consistently, every day, and have backlogs among backlogs to keep your fans entertained

NTA but I'm making decent amount as a side hustle. I know a bunch of others charging $90~$150 per characters with patreon as well and basically made them a second or main job. Yeah Sakimichan/CSR or big ass twitter accounts makes a ton, but if you're decent enough to carve your own niche you could still make a living just like how indie game devs / youtubers / streamers / content creators are also able to make a living despite not having 1 million subscribers.
