The 2nd Comics and Random Art Battles (C.R.A.B. 2) tournament will decide (again) the fate of the multiverse. OCs from multiple image boards will be kidnapped by the Gamemaster, put into teams and take part in many extreme challenges to obtain a single wish, whatever it may be!

Stage 2 - Theme: Leisure is almost over!

Let the leisure...END! Time to choose!

>Dating
Outtake, on account of femboy leaving. The entry was just more polished too.

>Heist
Alaisa/Viv - Just felt more like a fun heist and the art conveyed the activities better. Although in both cases it felt like the visuals and story telling were messy.

>Catacombs
Princess - Akio's was unpleasant to watch.

>Diving
Kevin - was just more polished, Senna's was a mess.

>Drinking
Balkari - both decent, but it just felt more personal and showed off both characters is a rather positive light. And probably the bigger deciding factor is the clarity of the comic just expressed what was happening more, carolyn's ambition was a bit much and made things hard to read. the focus on rules and competition also just wasn't my taste for leisure.

>Guitar
Louis

>Cooking
Alexis - the art wins me over, it has good atmosphere and concepts too.
Something about chadwick's bothers me too, I think its the disconnect between the characters and dialogue, splitting it up a bit more would help the flow better imo, but not 100% sure what's bugging me.

>concert
antonio - cameo. also portrays concert better

>hide and seek
You're LATE

>Game of chance
Penelope - toss up but i liked the tone more.

>swimsuit
dragon lady - was just a lot of fun. I wasn't feeling the competition.

>Gardening
Merachne - I liked it more.

>Art
default

>Sailing
default

>sand castle
Contestro/Berlo - cute and to the point. more my style of humor as well.

>Opera
Bellboy

>Patisserie
Amy and Pauline - No comment.

>Cat Cafe
Ormand I guess, they were both messy but this was less messy

>Riot
Cannon girl, this should have been a default.

>Wine tasting
Tammy - concise and to the point. Included both characters as well.

>Prince Alexis

>Antonio
I don't know much about this guy, but he got some nice moves there for sure.

>Hide and Seek
Still giving credit for that wholesome spectacle

>Dating
Outtake. I found the social interaction panel and carbon monoxide one REALLY funny.

>Museum Heist
This is a hard one but I erred on Chuckson and Maiden-4. I immediately think of Chuckson at the security monitor when I think about this challenge and I like the ending a lot.

>Catacombs
Akio. While I enjoyed Dex with the stock tour guide and character writing it wasn't really finished while Akio's was, which is unfortunate.

>Diving
Kevin, it made me chuckle a few times. I'm not quite sure what happened at the ending of Senna's comic.

>Drinking
Another hard one. I think that I prefer Balkari's for the peek at her past plus the good sportsmanship portrayed with Carolyn and Bear's characterization.

>Playing Guitar
Louis. The ending got me but even before that there's a wonderful moodiness about the entry.

>Cooking
Sgt. Chadwick. Chadwick's portrayed as a little gremlin but goes too much into an I AM SILLY facial distortion in Alexis' submission for my tastes. The devilishness of both was real fun to see in both entries though.

>Concert
Antonio, it's really appealing and fun! Bit of a shame this one was predetermined because it would have been neat to see who'd have won.

>Hide N Seek
Is there a medal higher than gold? They deserve it. I can't believe the environment interaction with the characters, that is beyond incredible.

Game of Chance:
HARD TO PICK AGAIN. This seems to happens a lot with Fernando entries. Honestly think I'll give it to Penelope, it's a real ride and the ending was a shock.

>Swimsuit
Dragon Lady and Bear. Friendship beach episode hits right.

>Gardening
Merachne. The ending with Merachne pulling the string to achieve one flower's success (through SRU) was pretty kino.

>Art
Voting for Cassia anyway. I'm sad it wasn't finished because the panel of Bernard holding little Cassia is cute as hell.

>Sailing
Jed. Real curious what Captain's entry would have been.

>Sand Castles
Amablebot and Jackbot. 9/11 jokes make me laugh.

>Opera
Bellboy. I lost it when Bohemian Rhapsody started as well as Akio's cameo chortling about perverts getting their due with a Bellboy duplicant right behind him,

>Patisserie
Amy and Pauline. I like their conversation and the use of Nathan and Boberon (especially Boberon) made me belly laugh.

>Cat Cafe
Ormand. Not at all surprised a kid would crash a car the second he's old enough to drive, funny use of the curse this round.

>Riot
Cannon Girl. Falcon's entry was a bit too dramatic for my taste and didn't include a drawing of Cannon Girl as an opponent.

>Wine
Paulus. "Arab music playing" for France was kek worthy.

DATING
I really love that picture with the clown girl, but ultimately, Femboy Elf dropped and Outtake didn't. It's a bit unfair for Clown Girl who just jumps into the last round, which I believe should be considered, but well, what can one do.
WINNER: Outtake
>Balkari's comment: "Wait, that was a guy?!"

MUSEUM HEIST
What an absolute kino guys. Whoever wins, both really delivered in the fun. Ultimately I'll vote for Maiden-4 and Chuckson because it made me laugh more and it went more to the point, but it's a close call.
WINNER: Chuckson and Maiden-4
>Balkari's comment: "You don't get a break, do you?"

CATACOMBS
Tough one. Princess entry made me laugh more but Akio's was more polished. It's pretty much a draw but I'll give it to Dex.
WINNER: Dex
>Balkari's comment: (throws up)

DIVING
Gonna give it to Kevin, his entry was simply more polished. Still I want Senna to win a round, you can do it you funky eldritch fluff.
WINNER: Kevin
>Balkari's comment: I don't like the water...
>Penelope's comment: TAKE A BATH!.

DRINKING
Even if for some absurd reason I were to be voted and won, I then would give up the match. But that's not gonna happen because Carolyn's entry was just superior. With that said, I did put effort and I am satisfied with mine even so.
WINNER: Carolyn.
>Balkari's comment: Uuugh.... What happened...

PLAYING GUITAR:
Man Louis was absolutely merciless here. Janny's was very fun and even made me thonk, but I'll give it to Louis for exploiting cheap drama and allowing fun memes and also Janny to ask him what his cum tastes like.
WINNER: Louis
>Balkari's comment: That's low.

>> No.6656160

>>6656159
COOKING:
Real tough one. Alexis was brutal and surprised me. Chadwick has excellent dialogue as per usual and a better overalll fill. Ultimately they are matched but I will give it to Alexis for completing in time and being more polished.
WINNER: Alexis
>Balkari's comment: So will you eat that?

CONCERT
I loved both entries. Antonio's was sexier but Leuca's was funnier. I guess the vote doesn't really matter but I'll vote Antonio since Leuca has gold anyways.
WINNER: Antonio
>Balkari's comment: Woohoo.

HIDE AND SEEK
I am completely speechless. Probably the best entry in this round. As it stands it would be impossible for me to vote for anyone in particular, give both the Gold here.
WINNER: Everyone watching.
>Balkari's comment: I'm drunk. I'm seeing critters....

GAME OF CHANCE
Finally read both entries. I can believe Penelope, I mean Percival, just fucking short herself dead, I mean himself. Both entries were great but Penelope's gave me a more immersive gambling manga feel, you can feel the love for gambling there.
WINNER: Penelope
>Balkari's comment: Yeah! Go, leader- Oh.

SWIMSUIT COMPETITION:
Another tough one! But Bear is just too supreme to not choose. Still Abby's entry really made me laugh.
WINNER: Bear
>Balkari's comment: What's the point of swimsuits?

GARDENING
Both great in different ways. Merachne's somber and traditional art is just delightful. Then again this feels like SRU's arena. I have a lot of trouble voting this one, but I'll give it to SRU. I don't want to vote just for art quality.
WINNER: SRU
>Balkari's comment: (Accidentally breaks the ground and kicks it away to hide the crime).
ART
Cassia's entry wasn't really finished and I know there is no vote here, but I felt the need to praise Bernard's entry, quite wholesome and peers into the character.
WINNER: Bernard.
>Balkari's comment: So that's what that tower was called...

SAILING
Aww. I ship it. No homo. Very nice entry.
WINNER: Jed
>Balkari's comment: Hmmmm...

SAND CASTLES:
Manarchy did a very funny shitpost, but ultimately I love Contestro and he has my vote. Or well, she. Damn you GM.
WINNER: Contestro
>Balkari's comment: (Fell asleep again on top of Tammy).

OPERA:
I'm all in for Akio and Lustless drugged up shenanigans, but Bellboy had one of the strongests entries of this stage, absolutely histerical from start to finish.
WINNER: Bellboy
>Balkari's comment: (Wakes up screaming).

PATTISERIE
Yes Nathan is hot, but Amy and Pauline entry was cute, fun, entertaining, and again one of my favorites here. They did an excellent job, they are adorable. Amy's mind resorting to killing herself and Pauline being picked up were really nice.
WINNER: Amy and Pauline.

CAT CAFE:
Tough one but I'll give it to Ormand. Still both were nice if a bit confusing. Still a token to Vormio, I love this fat cat fuck.
WINNER: Ormand.
>Balkari's comment: I am NOT working there. Stop asking. Stop talking to me in french. I will kill you. I'll kill all of you.

RIOT:
A shame Falcon dropped. If its about real time issues I understand. Either way CannonBoy wins, really cracked me up, excellent entry overall.
WINNER: Cannon Girl
>Balkari's comment: Wow...

WINES TASTING:
Tammy. Not only because Tammy's totally tea team tradition too, but also because the entry went more to the point and acknowledged the opponent more.
WINNER: Tammy
>Balkari's comment: I can taste wine, too...

>I get that you're a zoomer with ADHD and that impacts your reading comprehension, but we drew the same amount of panels with eachothers character.
Proportion wise it was different.
And Tammy's involved your OC in the competition while in yours she was a throw away.

I won't say its necessary to draw a lot of the other OCs, because I understand the reasoning to avoid doing so. But it still impacts the grading of the comic when yours completely circumvented the setting and challenge and was low effort on top of that.

This is going to be long.
I'm no expert by any means and I hope I don't offend anyone here, this is just my opinion as a fellow crab member and reader of your comics and I am doing this for the respect I have for all of you that worked on your comics/animations/animatics. ^^ (There may be some contradictions)
Saying in advance that I will not vote on 3 battles, Im not an english native speaker (So you dont insult me for my limited grammar/ errors spelling) and I liked all the deliveries.

>Game of Chance
Starting strong, I liked both for different reasons.
Fernando did a great and amazing job with his comic, loved how you putted the part before drinking the potions and I liked how unexpected it was that no one died at the end and it was just a funny little contest between Penelope and Fernando.
Penelope did a fucking huge delivery that had overall more pros than cons in comparission to Fernando though. Since I laughed, got surprised and got anxious on what was going to happen in the same comic, with an ominous narration, ending with a feeling of disbelief of what I just read. With a FOR SURE unexpected ending.
At the end I vote Penelope, but it was a hard choice for sure.

>Hide and Seek
Amazing cooperative work! warmed my heart and was very high quality 4k full HD. Props to Turtloli and Berlo (with his friends) enjoyed every bit of it.

>Wine Testing
Paulus.
Paulus. The jokes that had were HILARIOUS, very familiar ambience with the encounter of an old friend and it was a very enjoyable read overall. *Arab music starts playing*
Tammy Mato. Too straight to the point for my taste, would have been better If you explored your possibilities rather than following a straight line.

>Gardening
SRU.
SRU. I read it and saw fucking extreme gardening, SRU doing what hes MADE for, poor Marachne trying to live her live and a pretty funny wojak adaptation, it was very funny overall.
Marachne`s comic was beautiful, but felt like a social commentary rather than gardening. I think that other theme like Crime/Riot would have been the ring for her finger, since Marachne is propense on using poetry and profound life and death analogies due to her curse of being who she is.

>Swimsuit Competition
Voting for DL and Bear.
If I could I would vote Dragon Lady and Abby since both were great entries.
For DL, I didnt feel those 6 minutes. It was more like 2/3 with that good pacing and loved every bit of it. Worth the wait xd.
For Abby, loved how you adapted the characters and the hat only strategy. Apart for making that great Mike-Abby dynamic. You did an amazing job.
But since I have to stick with the rules I just vote Bear too since DL entry won me over, and voting Bear is always soul too so... Loved Mike`s entry too though <3

>Sand Castles
The bots.
The bots. Laughed a lot and loved the format of a commercial, great job.
Contestro, PLEASE END THE SUFFERING OF BERLO, also very unfortunate you couldnt do more.

>Catacomb Exploring
This one goes for Akio, loved how you made the reference of the ghostbusters on the fucking animation of the Ghostfucker and how Dex dealt with the hunted catacombs the normal way xddd.
Princess Dex made me laugh a lot too with the jokes about stoner Akio and the relationship he had with Dex. Great dynamic. It shows that you centered more on the relationship between the characters rather than the catacombs in itself. Would have loved to be able to help you before, but couldnt at the moment and then I forgor so sory!

>Dating
Outtake.
Elf didn`t deliver and you did a too fucking cute Elfboy drawing that sold me.
Im sure our new member will be a great oponent in the future though.

>Playing Gitar
I go with Janny. Louis entry was gorgeous, but I dont enjoy that kind of stories with such a deep ambience and bitter yet unexpected finale, sorry. Meanwhile I did enjoy reading Janny`s comic, that had such a lightherted and comedic flow to it.

>Cat Cafe
Ormand. That opening can make you win everything xd. But If Vormio had used the spaces in a better way for the texts and imagery so it was easier to read, it would have been a much more close call for me.

>Pastiere
Amy and Pauline.
Amy and Pauline. One of the nicest and wholesome ones. Pretty cute and enjoyable all the way.
Boberon and Nathan. You did very good managing to finish even though you had problems, I know Boberon would have delivered unquestionable kino. Props to Nathan for managing and finishing in time. Also, very good tutorial on how to make pastries.

>Crime/Riot
Cannongirl.
Cannongirl. Just kino that I enjoyed reading and laughed through it all.
Falcon.

>Concert
Antonio.
Antonio, I really like how you straight up did a fucking rave for the crabs. You were straight to the point in a good way, giving some fanservice while doing your objective.
Leuca, I like what you did with the plan hehe. Also loved your references and humour overall. You also did a whole subplot for the party theme, but at this moment is when I thing that Antonio wins over, since it centers on the theme much more rather than leaving it as just a background thing for your other subplot.

>Diving
Voting for ma boy Senna for being such a good sport. I laughed at Kevin vomiting the beret xd.

>Sailing
Jed did an incredible work. I unironically felt like watching an episode of a series while reading your comic. It was pretty smooth and I liked the young Jed going for the Captain dynamic.
Truly sad that captain couldnt post her entry.

>Opera
Bellboy.
BELLBOY YOU MADLAD, hilarious and perfect. I cant say anything new that you dont know already. Truly the jewel of the crown that are the comedic comics, and I dare to say of the whole tourney as from now.
Lustless, you made a pretty funny comic, but you had the GOOD luck of having such an amazing opponent. I really think your character was one of the most benefited after the battle. So now you have much more fans. (me included)

>Art
Bernard.
The feels... Man (Horse pic). It was VERY emotional from both parts and makes you feel bad for what the characters are going through (This is from Bernard part mostly though).
I find quite poetic how Bernard portrayed in his comic what was happening in the tourney, since Cassia really did a lighthearted comic at the end.
It would have been great If Cassia ended up finishing her comic and staying with us.

The 3 I wont vote:

>Cooking
Prince Alexis, with that terror ambience that worked A LOT, escalating things slowly and portraying his adversary very faithfully. So scary... to the point I was even shocked when Boberon appeared impaled.
Chadwick with a comic worth of coming from a big company with those writing skills he has even after the problems and adversities he had...
Yep, I wont vote neither of them. Ehe :3

>Drinking Contest
Difficult choice, I liked BOTH A LOT.
In one hand I have the wholesome entry of Balkari that was beautiful.
In the other theres the absolute kino that Carolyn always delivers.
So I'm not voting.

THE END.

>Museum Heist
I don't have words. Simply the best entry from both parties. Thats why I refuse to vote here. Love all the effort you guys putted and your kino. <3

THE END.

Dating
FE, unfortunate, but the transition comic is pretty charming. Looking forward to what clown girl will bring to the table now that's she's been promoted from the cheer squad.
Outtake, really captured that awkward feeling when your date's a sociopathic killer! And a true lovebite doesn't stop when the teeth break skin

Museum Heist
Both were fantastic entries, really.
Alasia, comic within itself was a great touch, fun character interactions and a nice intro. Viv, solid animations again, they worked really well inline with the pages and the whole chase really keeps the energy going.
Chuck, again with the killer dynamism in those poses, really handled m4 well, and the animations of chuck were hilarious, particularly liked the first. M4, that shrub had it coming, but next time try round up. More great animations and very expressive m4. Excessively smug baby too.

Catacombs
Dex, wish you got to finish it because you really came out of the gate strong here. Akio and Princess' interactions were perfect. Princess's faces of annoyance really tickle me too.
Akio, absolutely killer. Really took it up a notch from last time (and last time was already pretty good). Apart from the absolutely incredible intro, which fit the team really well, Akio's piece was hilarious. Perfect music choice and denizens of the crypt. Wish Princess managed more than running away though.

Diving
Kev, nice art, zany but fun and managed to keep it together all the way through.
Sen, beware the siren's song. Started pretty good, and the mermaids were going in a promising direction, would've liked to see the resolution!

Drinking
B, I can't get enough of this warmth in my heart. I hate to see Carolyn hindered by her soft side twice in a row, but I love that sort of thing. Balkari pre-demonization is just as lovable as her fluffier form. Carolyn popping up in page 7 made me grin too. Would've liked a bit more of Carolyn's grittier side though.
Carolyn, thoughtful of Carolyn to level the playfield a bit, but unfortunately the difference between a pint and a bottle is negligible when it comes to the depths of the void. Liked the callbacks throughout, and the crazy paneling (particularly Balkari busting that first one up), but it did get a bit overwhelming in a couple places. Really did both the characters justice.

Guitar
Janny, pretty much perfectly captured Louis in another 30 years I think. Funny stuff, but could've given the guitar a strum or two.
Louis, the cover panel for it is really great, funny stuff. A bit on the slow side, preferred the feel of round 1 entry, but still brought the humor. Gave J what he probably deserves.

Cooking: Abstain
I hate to abstain so much, but the powerful entries just kept coming.
Chadwick, even with the side effects of time pressure closing in, delivered a fantastic entry. Again, really killer dialogue and a wonderfully done plot. I think Alexis was adapted very well to your way of writing and general style, and Chad as a kid was just as much of a fun villain as his older self.
Alexis, great work again, I liked this one even more than last round. Handled both characters great, loved the scheming from all sides and terrifying imagery Alexis managed to produce. The takeout food getting used anyway gave me a smile as well.

Concert: Antonio
Antonio, really made a night to remember, even if we all end up dying at the end of this. Loved the cameos and the synchronous moves.
Leuca, fun references and again all the other characters. Everyone really could use pint to weather things through. I think the format worked well.

Hide n Seek: N/A votes but the video was stellar. Turt was adorable as always and the production values were crazy. Worth the wait for sure, you guys all did a great job.

Game of Chance: Penelope
Pen, (Percy?) absolutely knocked it out of the park dude. The intro alone was incredible, and the entry itself just kept it coming. Really great art, fit the atmosphere of things very well, and the writing was solid. Despite the more abstract level of dialogue managed to avoid getting convluted or boring. Kaiji's influence is always a treat. Really impressed, but again as to be expected of the leader of team 4.
Fernando, a powerful contender. I was already though the art from last round was pretty good but I liked it even more here. Fun interactions, I reall liked the potion sequence and the viv sprouts everywhere too.

Swimsuit Competition: Bear and Dragon Lady
Mike, poor bear, he never had the strongest constitution. Handled everyone well, and the battle of behemoths is a nice way to end it.
Abby, necklace and earrings? Seems a bit conservative. At least Abby's making the best of it despite the location. Dragon's GRRH face is pretty funny for some reason too.
Bear, dragonlady has such a cute personality despite her looks. And I can't get enough of Bear's dialog coming from him.
DL, video was excellent. You /i/ comic folks keep on bringing it. Sound effects, music, animations, writing, was just a really enjoyable short. Definitely one of my favorite entries.

Gardening: SRU
SRU, a bit frantic but SRU's overengineering was very amusing. Loved all the cataclysmic side effects.
Merachne, quite relaxing despite merachne's every present spooky atmosphere. Merachne literally drawing out SRU full potential is neat.

Bernard, unexpectedly touching approach, and a satisfying conclusion. Very cute Cassia too.
Cassia, wish we could've seen it in its full glory but still a sweet comic. GM's biases are always fun. Sad to see you go as well.

Sailing:
Jed, an epic battle between man, woman, and fish. The isle of france is great, and fun dialog between Jed and cap. Pretty entertaining stuff.

Sand Castles: Contestro and Berlo
C & B, I'm sure Berlo was great in crab 1 but perhaps he'd be better off at rest going by that terrifying panel ending page 1. Short but sweet, contestro as the mould is pretty funny.
A & J, funny vid, the toy commercial was a good idea and man what a climax.

Opera: Bellboy
Bellboy, great job. Really took lustless over the top and the French theater manager was hilarious. Overall very fun and did a great justice to both characters.
Lustless, funny stuff, Akio really complements everybody. But I would have liked more opera and bellboy.

Patisserie: Abstain
Amy, as I've already said, really cute stuff. The character interactions were really heartwarming and dig the foreboding duo wrapping it up.
Bob and Nathan, sorry to see Bob getting cut short like that, was pretty excited for his stuff - the price of being radical. Nonetheless, the slot machine intro was pretty good. Nathan, killing it, love the falling to hell shot, and Nathan continues to be a beast once he's down there. I've got to try the recipe now, I wouldn't have expected Higgs to know his way around a pastry kitchen so well. Ending to die for too, although it seems like maybe Amy managed to withstand it?!

Cat Cafe: Ormand
Ormand, he's been an adult for only a few hours so I can't blame him for the way that he is. Pretty funny dialogue, and good to see him doing what he does best putting Vormio back in place at the end.
Vormio, pretty dense and a bit difficult to follow, but some good stuff in there. Nice drawings, a solid expansion to the Vormioverse.

Riot: Cannon girl
CG, absolute mayhem, cannon girl taking France by the horns and steering it to a future.
Falcon, got the ideas going but should've at least gotten some storyboard doodles together.

Wines Tasting: Tammy
Tammy, it's brief but gets the point across. A man of his stature should've known better than to challenge a walking and talking tomato to a wine tasting. Besides, I'm sure detectives have a taste for that sort of thing.
Paulus, nice intro, Paulus being the particular about the hat seems fitting, and the back and forth with GM is solid. Would've liked to see Tammy a bit more, but Douwe looks charming.

>Cooking: Chadwick
Downright Devious Devilishness, the twist at the end had me smiling in awe, very well done. Had me believing that Alexis might've actually had the upper hand.

>Concert: Leuca
I liked Leuca's take on Antonio and their mission but Antonio's focus on coloring and festivity was a nice match.

>Hide n' Seek: Turtloli
I really liked the video, I think one of the few posts that really focused on leisure

>Chance: Coin Toss
I very much liked Penelope's art, dialogue and thematic focus this round, I also like Fernando's focus on character interaction and spirit. Both are great pieces with good aspects that match eachother. Truly, equals.

>DATING:
>OUTTAKE
Very self-aware comic, I found the several jabs at itself very amusing; abeit rushed at the end, but delivered nonetheless.

>MUSEUM HEIST:
>VIVIAN & ALAISA
Disgustingly good, both submissions; I was quite skeptical of how the authors would approach the challenge with their taken potions but I'm surprised that it went really well. Ramped up at the middle and ended on a quiet note but V&A's entry really pulled off that 'heist gone wrong' direction well. Then again, Maiden-4 and Chuckson's entry is also nothing short of cinematography. Really good, nothing else can be said.

>CATACOMBS:
>AKIO
Self-aware humour; makes fun of itself and the 'Akio' character being a sleazy ghost magnet, which is quite nice considering the general theme of catacombs. Princess Dex's entry isn't bad, it's slower pacing and a bit more realistic, but there's not much going, other than idle chatter between the characters.

>DIVING:
>KEVIN
Oppenheimer approved. Quite a lot of funny bits, plus a few "lore" tie-ins.

>DRINKING:
>CAROLYN
Damn, I would really like to abstain this one but that's a coward's route. Carolyn's submission is solid, having it coloured really draws out the grotesqueness of the art, in a good way. Balkari's submission played tugging the heart-string of the reader, which I admit, did fall for. Carolyn's, for me at least, took the win for technicality but Balkari's will leave a lasting impression.

>> No.6656986

>GUITAR:
>LOUIS
I abhor NTR shit, but I'll have to give props to the first 2/3 of their submission. Good interactions between the two characters; Janitor's personality here is a bit more humble yet still has that condescending vibe about him, which is cool. Again, I hate NTR shit, I know it's just my opinion from some shitter of a basket-weaving forum but it really left a sour taste on an otherwise really good submission, it's very unfortunate. On the other hand, Janitor's submission - the pay-off is a bit weak, but the rock-sitting, contemplating Janitor is pretty cool.

>COOKING:
>PRINCE ALEXIS
They absolutely outdone themselves with this submission, the team's decision to split their submissions into bite-sized videos was a solid tactic; Alexis' submission got me hooked from start to finish. Despite that, I feel like the use of funny faces was a bit over the top, it would be better if it stayed a bit subtle, I get that sometimes a comedic relief is required but it really spoiled the otherworldly mood that the submission had.
Chadwick's on the other hand; absolutely disgusting depiction of the character (in a good way); it oozes the kind of slimeyness and you can just feel how cunning the character is, it's as good as a villain can get, if people really hated them. Dialogues are great, not verbose, very simple yet classy. It could have been better if it weren't for their circumstances.

>CONCERT:
>ANTONIO
Their submission really has that 'final episode' feel to it, which is cool, also it stayed true to the given subject.

>HIDE 'N SEEK:
>Abstained
I have nothing bad to say about this, and any good words that comes out of me just aren't enough to measure how good the submission is. Just good stuff overall.

>> No.6656987

>>6656986
>GAME OF CHANCE:
>FERNANDO
A clear example of 'quality vs. quantity'. Fernando's submission absolutely blown me away; A simple, short concise dialogue at the start and near the end, which is nice since not everyone likes reading and prefer to let the drawings speaks for itself. Clean art that depicts the characters well and doesn't clutter with useless 'noises' - it also stayed true to the theme, which was LEISURE - a RELAXING activity. In the end, it's not about the pagecount, it's how you deliver a goal concisely.
For my submission, I definitely felt like I've missed the mark here and it really got out of hand.

I apologize to the rest of the contestants that I can't give any comments about their works but I'm mentally exhausted from all of this, let's just assume that you all can read my thoughts and form your own opinions about it (most of it are pretty similar to my teammates'), but the rest is as follow:

>Dating: Femboy Elf vs Outtake*
I must give it to the full comic. I am obliged. However, I will mention that I had a very hard time making out what was happening towards the end. I'm still not quite sure what happened.

>Museum Heist: Vivian and Alaisa vs Chuckson* and Maiden-4*
By far the hardest decision this round. One of the best showings in either round. Gut busting laughs, tremendous energy of action, clever sequences given the restrictions. I refuse to abstain, so I must give it Chuckson and Maiden for 1 reason: chemistry. Baby Chuckson and Maiden-4 have powerful on-page chemistry. Otherwise, this is a coinflip.

>Catacombs: Princess Dex vs Akio*
Not my type of sequence, but Akio had a solid, polished finished product. Obliged to give him the gold. Always impressive to see Manarchy's imagination at work. Points notwithstanding, they are a consistent, highly talented team.

>Diving: Kevin* vs Senna
Must give it to Kevin. Thought out, finished product of sufficient quality. I almost gave the win to Senna out of sympathy. Time is precious. But Kevin met and exceeded demands. He's probably one of the most appealing characters of the tournament.

>Drinking: Balkari* vs Carolyn
I started typing with one winner in mind, but I decided otherwise by the end. Carolyn comics have one enormous weakness: intelligibility. Despite some of the best composition/lighting in the whole contest, it is too often too hard to make out what is happening in critical panels. Balkari may often be sketchier and less refined, but Ardi has a striking sense of comedic timing and a commendable grasp of his opponent's characters. His comics make his opponent comics better.

>> No.6657103

>>6657100
Playing Guitar: Janitor vs Louis*
I'm not quite sure I believe Louis's Janitor. My limited understanding of the Janitor is possibly deeply flawed, but I
watched the incredibly impressive animatic with some incredulity. However, it is definitely loyal to the challenge, and it has my kryptonite: references to a tournament narrative. Continuity. So Louis it is.

>Cooking: Sgt. Chadwick vs Prince Alexis
Must abstain.

>Game of Chance: Penelope* vs Fernando
The easiest legitimate choice of the round, which is unfortunate. Fernando is one of the tournament greats, and his artist is *phenomenal*. Sadly, inspiration beats professionalism every day. Percival's comic was unbelievable. Enormously entertaining, beautifully drawn--the most imaginative of the round. Exceptional work in every way. Fernando had a chance against almost everyone else.

>Swimsuit Competition: Mike and Abby vs Bear and Dragon Lady*
Exceptional effort from every contestant. Mike always surprises me with how competent and full his entries are. Airtight. Abby wasn't on my radar, but she's had a meteoric rise--powerful personality that her opponents can have fun with. Loved seeing Dragon Lady finally get her time to shine in a finished product, even if she is coom bait. Bear's comic was lovely, but also teetering on the edge of avoiding the challenge entirely. In the end, it came down to wit. Bear and Dragon Lady characterizations of all four characters was exceptional.

>> No.6657105

>>6657103
>Gardening: Soil Repair Unit vs Merachne*
Spectacular. SRU gave me exactly what I wanted and expected from him. Hilarious, clever, thought out. Supreme effort. But in the end, Merachne's unique approach to the contest stole the show. I almost gave it to SRU because of the messed up imgur gallery, but once I saw the comic in the right order, I knew my heart was stolen.

>Sand Castles: Contestro and Berlo vs Amablebot and Jackbot*
This one annoyed me. I love COntestro and Berlo so much. In two pages, they completely dominated my mind and heart. Genius character design, genius characterization. They should have won. They had the power. But a finished product beats an unfinished product every time. The Bot commercial was clever, imaginative, just the kind of creativity this tournament needs. But it gave no characterization of either character. I left confused.

>Opera: Bellboy* vs Lustless
Bellyboy took me on a journey. I'm not one for explicit entries, but I guess that's the name of the Lustless game. I'm giving it to Bellboy for tremendous stroytelling power, although the end to Lustless's entry will haunt me for a long time. She did not, however, spend adequate time on Bellboy. Supporting characters are great, but Akio should not eclpise her opponent.

>Patisserie: Amy and Pauline* vs Boberon and Nathan
I am shocked and appalled to say that I vote against the lads. I absolutely loved their roles in Amy and Pauline's comic, which itself was a masterpiece. It may in fact be a sleeper for the best submission of the round. Not flashy, but hyper competant comicing. Fantastic art, solid dialogue, accurate characterization--it had everything.

>> No.6657106

>>6657105
>Cat Cafe: Ormand* vs Vormio
Some creative takes on a very ambiguous prompt. Giving it to Ormand, whose entry I understood and followed easily. Vormio's had impressive composition decisions and a lot of heart, but was far too difficult to read and follow. Ormand does something I hope everyone does--develops a unique meta narrative around his character's participation.

>Riot: Cannon Girl* vs Falcon
Cannon Girl has the finished product, and not only is it finished, it's delightful. It is crippled by its total lack of Falcon, but given the circumstance--and Falcon's not having a comic to offer--CG gets this one by default. Well deserved, still, for wit and humor. A full throated tackle of the prompt, leaving no stone unturned.

>Wines Tasting: Tammy Mato* vs Paulus
Pound for pound, these were weak entries. I'm giving it to Tammy for abiding by the prompt. Paulus's was clever, but you cannot just straight up ignore your opponent.

Dating: OUTTAKE
Personally, Outtake's entry was entertaining, though I guess it's a bit of a lopsided match because one actually delivered. Plus its dark comedy! Though I'd liked to have seen a more expanded version of it.
>Someone should REALLY get that kid a therapist...

Heist: Alaisa and Vivian
Man, this is a tough one, both of them are great, I kneel and prostrate to both of you chads. However, it would be a disservice to abstain on this match. As much as I find Chubby Son cute and the animations superb (the part where M-4 just punches Viv to mulch is one of the funniest in this tourney), I've got to give it to Alaisa and Vivian due to their impeccable presentation. But it is a very close one. All in all, both are top-tier kino and are certainly one of (if not the) best entries in this stage.
>Three babies and a girl in a museum heist, sounds like one of those trashy Christmas movies.

Catacombs: Akio
What can I say? I find Ghost Fucker Akio to be entertaining. Presentation is quite smooth too. Though, I'd like to have seen more character interaction like in Princess' entry.
>My apologies, sir Akio, lady...whoever you are. I may have overreacted a bit. Allow me to help-wait, no, stop touching my face.

Diving: Kevin
Overall it is better structured and more entertaining to read through, the character interactions are great and they bounce off well from each other. Senna's entry could use a bit more clarity, but I see potential had it been developed further. A shame that time is a bane for us all.
>I-Is that a... Oh, holy shit, get down! Into the basement, now!

Drinking:: Balkari
Its very wholesome and cute, it lends credence to the idea that less is more. While I am proud of my entry, I did have to cut a lot of material from my original script due to it increasing the pagecount beyond what I can feasibly make within a week and a half's worth of time. And I also refuse to vote for myself
>...I guess we aren't so much different after all.

Guitar: Louis
damn janny got cucked to death. rip in pepperoni
>,,,wanna smoke?

Cooking: Alexis
Another tough one. Both entries showcase what they do best, Chadwick showcases his great writing and character interactions as always and the grotesquely evil and fantastically great characterization of Childwick as a villian you just love to hate, while Alexis plays like a fairy tale warning naughty little children about how their bad deeds would soon catch up to them. And it also reminds me of old shoujo anime. Though, I think Alexis' entry has a better buildup to its ending. All in all, both entries are superb, especially their endings. That Chadwick was still is able to deliver an entry as great as that despite his circumstances, I'd say that is a testament to their skill and ability as a professional comics artist.
>What a nasty little scamp he is, that Chadwick. And what a terrifying man this Prince is.

Concert: Antonio
I will still vote for him despite him abandoning his team. It was a fun, simple entry. Was very relaxing to read through, and I admire the cameos all throughout.
>It has been a while since I last danced, hasn't it?

Hide n Seek: Abstain
Given that they both worked on the same entry, I'd say they both get equal scores. It was superb, truly a highlight of the competition, despite the late delivery.. It is definitely the comfiest entry in the competition.
>So that's where that potion went... I just hope the GM would be lenient with us this time around.

Game of Chance: Penelope/Percival
Gotta hand it to 'em, that entry was great. It was a banger, the presentation, the style, the narrative, that ending, man, it was just utterly gripping and it got me hooked all throughout. It was personally my favourite entry in this round. Percival's sheer manic energy, combined with his characterization and his monologue, it was just perfect. Fernando's entry, meanwhile, was a lot more chill and lighthearted, but man, Penelope's entry really was just chilling and certainly left an impression
>Out of all the people I've encountered in my life, those tinged with madness are the ones that are the most troublesome. And yet, I cannot help but feel a sense of kinship with that old man, of his weariness and his grief. I do not wish to think of it, yet each time that memory enters my conscious, instead of his bedraggled form I instead see a twisted reflection of myself.

Swimsuit Competition: Dragon Lady, Bear.
Big baka doragon hot, simple as.
>Ahh, to be so young and lively... A shame my body isn't what it used to be.

Gardening: Merachne
I really enjoyed the dreamy and hazy mood of his entry, and I enjoyed the poetry of the prose very much. It was hauntingly beautiful, As for SRU's entry, it was delightfully over-the-top,
>Dreams, huh... It has been years since I last dreamed.

Art: Bernard
I really enjoyed Bernard's personal struggles, and how it resolved it. It was sickeningly sweet, and I'd like to sue it for giving me cancer.
>Perhaps I could share a drink or two with this Bernard.

Sailing: Jed
JEDSWEEP, But in all seriousness, I enjoyed reading through it.

Sand Castles: Amablebot and Jackbot
Poor Jacobson, people always getting his name wrong. Anyways, the reason why I voted for them was because of the low-hanging 9/11 joke (still cracked me up though) while the Contestro/Berlo entry feels unfinished and building up to a bigger joke. But as stated previously, time is a bitch, and we are its battered househusbands.
>Wha-who sells bombs to children?! And in such cute packages too?

Opera: Bellboy
Bellboy's entry was extremely entertaining to read through, it was utterly chaotic in a good way, with things going from bad to worse for the poor Belboy. The interactions he had with Lustless still cracks me up.
>Sounds like you have a rough night, huh? Here, have some beer. Should help you take your mind off it, if for a while.

Patisserie: Amy and Pauline
Honestly, their entry was pretty good, and also pretty funny. Lots of fun interactions between characters, which I enjoy. As for Nathan and Boberon's entry though, gotta applaud the effort towards realism by actually measuring out the ingredients and baking it IRL just for accuracy.
>I am not one for sweets, but I feel in the mood for some cakes right now.

Cat Cafe: Vormio
Gotta give points for being rather experimental, even if it was difficult to read through due to the composition and positioning of the dialogue. It really stands out from the rest of the entries.
>I do not trust that cat.

Riot: Cannon GIRL (Guy In Real Life)
Well, they delivered, plus the entire thing was just entertaining. As Listener so eloquently put it, the napoleonic spirit got to me, sacre bleu
>Riots... Why do they always have to be so... messy?

Wines Tasting: Paulus de Boskabouter
It was just a more interesting read to be honest, even if amusingly, both entries have the same amount of panels dedicated to their opponents.
>Wines? I personally prefer beers, but to each their own, I suppose.

Dating: Femboy Elf>>6653843 vs Outtake >>6649850

>Winner: Outtake (by default)

Outtake: Submitting a comic that’s uncooked with a days left to finish it makes it look like you checked out of the tournament. Please make better content next round, your art is cute and I want to see more of it.

Femboy- Out of the tournament, F.

Museum Heist: Vivian and Alaisa >>6653836 vs Chuckson and Maiden-4 >>6653833

>Winner: Abstained.

Both matchup’s are indistinguishable from each other the point that I'm convinced all four arist here collaborated to make both comics. This is a double edge sword however because though the quality is of both are evenly matched in terms of art, quality, and skill, I truly felt as if I have read the same exact content twice and neither comic has neither comic has a true Identity of it’s own. Solid entries overall.

Catacombs: Princess Dex >>6649858 vs Akio >>6653899

>Winner: Akio

Princess Dex

You took an interesting concept and made it underwhelming. Fat Hippy Akio was funny but with only 2 panels dedicated to exploration and the rest is inane small talk that feels like a blind date, I’m left wanting more. There’s no sense of closure to your story either, it just ends weirdly top of being unfinished thumbnail. Hopefully we can see princess dex doing princess dex things like fighting monsters next round, I feel that’s where her character really shines.

Akio

You took a joke I made about using ‘bussing’ for the music and elevated it into one of the most entertaining submissions this round. Your enthusiasm for your oc is infectious And Akios antics are a blast. Akio coin through the roof!

Hi anons~
I am baked I will now review your comics

Museum Heist - both of these were good but desu it almost didnt matter what the other team made cause ima vote for my girl maiden and the little homie chuckson. bias aside the panel to panel movement is superior, its super professionally done. >>6653833 (Cross-thread)

Catacombs - Dex was ok but I wish she was nicer to poor Akio. He didnt really do anything? Like yea he was smoking but get over it? The winner is Akio, Akio is charming and handsome. I love his music video, I love the ghost boobies >>6653899 (Cross-thread)

Diving - I choose senna because Kevins made me uncomfortable. sorry im squeemish

Drinking - Carolyn was very cinematic props to your hard work. But Balkari was soooo cuuuuuute~~ the winner is Balkari >>6649875 (Cross-thread)

Guitar - Easy win for Louis, it felt like a short film. Imo surpasses most entries here >>6653904 (Cross-thread) sorry janny

Cooking: Chadwick had a more fun upbeat tone so I pick him. Both had good art >>6655754 (Cross-thread)

Concert - Antonio wins hard here like god damn this feel good energy and colorful vibe cant be beat >>6654190 (Cross-thread)

Game of Chance - gonna give it to Penelope for sheer originality. I have never read any comic like that, it was interesting >>6649939 (Cross-thread)

Swimsuit competition - Abby made me smile, abby and mike win >>6653044 (Cross-thread) she is funny

Gardening - abstain

Art - abstain

Sailing - congratulations to Jed >>6653780 (Cross-thread) I enjoyed your low key kind of tone and humor, appreciated your comic.

Sand Castles - Amablebot and Jackbot >>6653902 (Cross-thread)

Opera - Bellboy won here, its not even close. I tried going in a different direction realizing I could not top that. This made me laugh harder than any other comic posted and the art is really hot at some points, this man can seriously draw big tits. I would love to vote for myself but everyone would see right through it >>6650533 (Cross-thread)

Senna:

The art is so sloppy in some shots it's hard to tell senna apart from the mermaid. The humor doesn’t land etiher and the lack of kevin and senna interaction leaves much to be desired. Maybe next round we can finally see Senna in her element.

Drinking: Balkari >>6649875 vs Carolyn >>6652973

>Winner: Caroline

Balkairi: Better than last round but would’ve liked to have seen a longer comic where either characterization or drinking thats takes priority. There's not enough of either here so the comic feels forgettable.

Caroline: Liking continuity between this match and the last, and atmosphere and ‘voice’ made the comic feel like Film Noire. You really improved from the last round.

Playing Guitar: Janitor >>6649888 vs Louis>>6653904

>Winner: Louis

Janitor

The subversion didn’t really land here for me. I would’ve much rather seen Janny air guitaring with a mop or being really bad than not playing anything at all, same with louis. The gifs were a nice touch though, so was louis breaking his back, hopefully we can have more janny from the first round again.

Louis

The atmosphere is nice, so was the twist. The scribbling in a few of the frames are distracting while others enhance the comic effect of the scenes. Your frame and animation is great however more polish would elevate your work a ton. Good work over all.

Chadwich

First off, I'm glad that you were able to pull through and deliver a comic despite all you’ve went through, had the roles were reverse I would've had to skip the round and possibly the tournament. I truly commend your work.

Secondly, Your comic made me realize just how much I have failed to communicate Alexis’s character to you. Though Alexis is mad King he’s not easily to angry nor is he some prudish pompus royality type but, would instead met people at their level and beat them with experience. He is playful and whimiscial while his actions are what would be cruel and calculating, not his mannerisms. I’m sorry that this was lost in translation. Your comic was good though, and I like the art direction and your take on Alexis, especially his wings and tail.

Alexis

I felt really good about this entry and put in a lot of care into making sure everything hit well. Hope that this entry shows that I have taken many of the critiques into account and applied it. Sorry if Chadwhick feels OOC as well, I wanted to make him alittle school yard bully who delights in being a shitter but I may have OD’d on silliness. Hopefully that Honkita and Boberon anon enjoyed their oc cameos alone with the others.

Game of Chance: Penelope >>6649939 vs Fernando >>6649999

>Winner: Penelope

Penelope: the comic was long yet thoughtful. The writing had a distinct ‘voice’ to it that made it engaging to read. I also enjoyed the subversion of having Percival die rather than your opponent. Easily one of the best entries this round, not to mention your take on Russian roulette is top notch. As far as match up went, It wasn’t even close you executed fernando.

Fernando

Easily the most visually pleasing art in the tournament, but like last time it didn’t leave a lasting impression on me besides being well drawn. Fernando needs more presence in general as I find myself being more interested in your opponent’s OC more than you own.

Mike

Solid entry and a step up from round even without color. Good Job.

Abrigail

Abrigail is easily the most slept on OC in this tournament and the comedy made me laugh. I’m ready to invest in Abby coin whenever, Hands down my favorite female oc.

Bear

Bear is so charming and cute and I liked the call back to the drinking contest, solid stuff. I would suggest using an arrow to guild reader thought the panels as I ended reading the panels worn till the last page.

Dragon Lady

fun entry, one of my favorites. The animation was serviceable giving the time you had but be more selective with what you choose to animate as the priority in what was worked felt all over the place.

Boberon and Nathan

Good on nathan and to carry a comic for your teammate ( godspeed to boberon I liked him a lot) but and writing is nearly illegible in the latter half of the comic and I wanted to like the humor but it never crossed over into the funny territory to me.

Cat Cafe: Ormand >>6651315 vs Vormio >>6653422

>winner: Ormand

Ormand

Not getting much of a cat café vibe and again the guidelines all other the characters faces are too distracting to the readers. The comic is forgettable, and you didn’t utilize the concept of the cat café but atleast your comic was understandable.

Vormio

This comic is unintelligible, and I don’t understand Vormio as a character in either comic. Even when you have a wacky meme OC it still needs to be coherent and on topic of the theme that you have been giving.

Riot: Cannon Girl >>6653529 vs Falcon>>6649753

>winner Cannon Girl

Solid improvement from last time and Cannon Girl is fun OC in general. I like her spunky nature the comic was just good time.

Falcon

Absolutely dogshit entry and you didn’t even draw your opponent's OC. This is a prime example of why you think twice before entering shittier meme OCs into art tournament and the like, the joke of it being bad can only go so far and when you don’t care about what you’re drawing it really affects your work. Hopefully you can learn from your stint in the tournament and work on being a better artist. Good luck with your further endeavors.

Tammy Mato

>Both matchup’s are indistinguishable from each other the point that I'm convinced all four arist here collaborated to make both comics. This is a double edge sword however because though the quality is of both are evenly matched in terms of art, quality, and skill, I truly felt as if I have read the same exact content twice and neither comic has a true Identity of it’s own. Solid entries overall.

Man I should have said this, it encapsulates my feelings quite well.
The entries felt almost identical to me, there was enough of a storyline difference for me to make a decision but I could have almost sworn it was done by the same circle. Great quality, but they're basically just 2 takes on the same exact story which feels weird.

Thanks for your review Alexis. We did coordinate as far as page limit and the goal: steal the mona lisa (reskinned as GM-tan). At the end of the day, all four of us busted ass, and I'm satisfied with whichever outcome.

Dating
Outtake
The panels that are done are so clean and make use of the hard BW really well. Nice!

catacombs
Akio
I think his video accomplished its goals a bit more completely, and was pretty amusing. But, good work for both

Diving
Kevin
I love this little guy, nicely colored and fun, the nuke blast looks great!

Drinking:
Carolyn
Its like two portrayals of the same events, but I think the carry at the end tugged at the heart the most.

Guitar
Louis
A rock solid amount of work went in on louis' piece and the results are pretty nice. Chris will be checking your passports
that said, I appreciate the pensive angle that janny takes and i resonate with the idea that sounds of the world around you is music to be enjoyed. As well as his animated panels

Cooking
Alexis
Extremely difficult choice but I think im gonna go with the Prince. My main comment is that I found it difficult to tell if the shock/horror dog appearance was an illusion or not. If it WAS an illusion, I feel the joke would be massively improved by communicating this to the audience ahead of time. Think of the trash cube scene from monsters inc. We, as the audience, laugh our asses off at sully's reaction because we know Boo is safe. If it wasn't an illusion, well... I feel like I just watched Boo get killed in a trash compactor which is more sickening to me than funny and I'm not on board with it. But for polish and craft, you deserve it.

Chadwick went through hell and high water to put up for this round. I think I missed where the deception occurred, possibly due to the unfinished pages. but again, unbelievable that you came through against all odds Gus, massive props to you. You are an inspirational figure

2nd proof is Simon Chuckson officially appearing in a Tom n' Artie short!

Concert
Love these fellas. Antonio's comic has amazing color and art, and I also like that Leucas turns into a coop stealth mission to take out a vampire.

Chance
Penelope-
it's dark, brooding, and paired well with some Sunn 0))) on my reread. A lot of work here.
But dont sleep on fernado's, you did a great job man, tons of character in each panel and I love the fun take on it

Swimsuit
Dragonlady and bear
I cant sleep on that video, tons of great moments
This match had a ton of work that went into it though, Abby and Mike's were lots of fun too

Gardening
SRU
One party represents a completely ethereal being, the other a corporeal machine. Their relationship with plant life is a trippy experience from two points of view which makes this such an excellent match. Ultimately I gotta go SRU for the coloring, the laughs, and overall being a bit more clear about what's going on.

>Sing it with me, just for today
>Maybe tomorrow, the good Lord will take you away
>Dream on

Sandcastle
Contestro
I think i gotta go with the robot guy even though I really liked the toy commercial. Contestros art here is very brief but I think the polish is what breaks the tie for me.

Opera
Bellboy
I find their sound effects to be... disagreeable. But this one was so iconic

Patisserie
Amy/Pauline
Fat boberon lmao. Each one has some great art and jokes though.

Cafe
Ormand
Gotta rep the teammate here, but its also somewhat because I had a bit of issues with readability on the vormio comic. Very creative but tough to follow.

Riot
Cannon Girl

Wine
Abstain, but honors to Tammy for featuring her opponent.

Here we go, 1/6

Trigger Warning: I will vote against everyone whose sexual/crass humor put me off.

>DATING: Clown Girl (GM completely ignored this >>>6653837 )
Outtake didn't deliver much. We can see his art is lovely, but, as in round 1, it is hindered by giving up halfway through.

Rosebuds had a simple last-minute comic, which ended up being on the same level as Outtake's, but it had more funny moments, which is why I'm voting for it.

>MUSEUM HEIST: Abstain
What can I say? Never expected to be in The Match of a round, but here we are.
We made a truce to avoid death from overwork: a hard limit on page numbers, 6 per person. This forced us to be more creative and less suicidal. Only the first goal was achieved, the page limit didn't stop anyone from going absolutely gung-ho, what a journey.

Started the round shitting my pants, but as I drew my confidence grew. I hope my choice of tone was appropriate for a kids' competition, with the pogs and puzzles and the overall lightheartedness.
I then got to see Vivian anon's hard work first-hand and many of the animations he put out are very polished. Only complaint goes to unreadable fonts sometimes.

Blast Rites delivered amazingly, a lot of soul in the art and the styles mesh well together. The Heist part was left a bit vague to focus on characters, but those interactions were golden. Stunning cover art and the camera scenes (including Chuckson's squeal) will leave an impression on me. I don't mind the in media res (in fact, I like it), but the ending seemed abrupt.

>CATACOMBS EXPLORING: Princess Dex
Tried harder than on Round 1, albeit unfinished. Hopefully by Round 3 your planning will be calibrated for how much work you can output.

Akio's entry was well made and had good pacing, but I'm just not interested in his penis.

>> No.6657501

2/6

>DIVING: Kevin
Great progress for Kevin, this time around the story is way more clear. Humor is on point, had fun.

I have no point of reference for Senna cause the first round was an animation, but I didn't understand many panels; skill and effort are separate things, even stickfigures can go a long way if you put in the time to make them readable.

>DRINKING CONTEST: Balkari
A forfeit is still a win, and it was in-character, looked like something Carolyn would do. I was expecting a double bluff and Balkari being 100% awake/fine, but it didn't happen.

Carolyne didn't face (pun intended) any challenge in her comic, what are 10 bottles if you can store 10 planet Earths inside of you? The parallel narrative isn't a bad idea, but the execution didn't interest me enough. The art was very enjoyable. I'm not one to preach on comic size, but events feel too spaced-out, with dialogue being used more as a crutch than a tool.

>PLAYING GUITAR (BEACH): The Janitor
At Janitor's entry, nobody plays, but he's declared the winner.
At Louis' entry, only Janny plays.

I'm glad that yaoi cover was basically unrelated to the contents, but being held at gunpoint by the threat of surprise buttsex was not pleasant. I liked the idea of making the guitar playing not in a tournament fashion, but as spending some free time together.

>> No.6657503

>>6657501
3/6

>COOKING: Prince Alexis
This time around the Prince had a more fleshed-out story, with good characterizations and strategies related to the theme. Good art. Editing was a bit confusing at times, I don't exactly know how the dishes got swapped or how the terrible cooking became Honquitta. Screamer was stupid, if I didn't watch videos at 5~10% volume most of the time I would have voted for Chadwick as a fuck you.

Chadwick had a good opening, weak competition and VERY COOL ending, setting the mood for Round 3 nicely. I know all the evil things those filthy Man*rchists did IRL to sabotage you and prevent your delivery this round, but cheating is allowed and I have to judge the result: the competition part was the weakest link in this. Is Dragon Oil some sort of make-up? It was the plot twist, so a bit more emphasis on it would have helped to sell it.

>CONCERT: Antonio
Nobody loses or wins in these comics, so I'll go with cool factor.
Antonio delivered very good visuals, made me realize a few things I lack in my own work.

>HIDE'N'SEEK
No Hide'n'seek was had, so I wouldn't have voted anyway.
But goddammit, did it look pretty. Motion tracking and proper editing did a world of difference to a simple project, very effective, well done. Crab has reached new frontiers.
Those back spikes unsettle me, didn't know they existed.

>GAME OF CHANCE: Fernando
Very pleasant art once more, the only confusing part was Fernando going for a second shot, as the interruption of Percival grabbing the weapon was unclear. Emotions expressed well, the shocked face at the Bang wrapped it up nicely.

Percival lost in his own comic. Side-effects of the potion could have been used to give this death some significance, maybe even wrap around into a victory. And while the writing almost tickled my fancy, the manga-styled narrative still feels a bit forced. Can't put my finger on why, clearly Penelope and Carolyne anons read a shitton of mango, but the "spark" is still missing. Like a singer who is clearly skilled, but immitates others a bit too much and doesn't let his true timbre shine. Keep searching, great work overall.

>SWIMSUIT COMPETITION: Dragonlady/Bear
Impressive work. Made good use of the animated medium, gags were funny, all characters well-represented. Bear was kinda boring during the competition, but funny outside of it. Besides, his own comic featured himself more, with more fun bits to enjoy and the throwback at the barman sidejob. Well done.

Abby delivered good comedy again, and the comics keep getting longer, impressive. Very nice.
Michael also delivered well, storytelling had a clear improvement compared to Round 1. And he's my teammate, but there's no beating Dragonlady's massive work. Unlucky. Or lucky, maybe, it was nice seeing Abby and Michael(la) animated.

>GARDENING: SRU
This was a very balanced match. Both delivered a creative story. SRU with the over-the-top technological stuff and humor, Merachne with more ambiance and finding a different way to make a flower since he can't deal with real ones, delivering a lot on the art department. I'm making this choice more on preference than anything here, beautiful duel.

>ART (EIFFEL TOWER): Cassia
I only vote for characters who win the competition in their entries. That said, I love Bernard's comic, plus the prologue, that's over 20 pages of effort and soul. Very likeable characterization, keep it up.

I don't like Gabe's excuse for winning in the comic, but it's what we have. Cute art, but autistic planning that is very slow, which ultimately caused the burnout. Learn to let your arm loose, man. Redraw the thumbnail 10x very roughly instead of polishing it and then leaving written notes.

>SAILING
Nice story, didn't get the "passing out" part at the end, but everything else was a good read. Used the theme well, and I like the idea of France being the only available country even if you try to circumnavigate it. Adds flavor to the Crabiverse.

>SAND CASTLES: Bots
Both were short, Contestro could have pulled it off with a little more effort.
I love Punished Berlo's face and the toy commercial, while simple, was funny.

>OPERA: Abstain
I'm not here to read this.
But the buttcar was funny. And Bellboy has some nice art. And seeing Lustless output grow by this much was nice. Sadly it's not even related to the competition.

>PATISSERIE: Pauline/Amy
Lovely art. On that department I will just complain that "sightseeing" is supposed to be about the beauty of the scenery, so I expected more than a sloppy sketch for that single panel. It is not well-addressed how they won over their opponents, merely being gluttons? I like everyone's portrayal.

Nathan had to deliver for two since Boberon is kill, very commendable. But, if that's the case, it's unclear which parts were rushed and which weren't; while Pauline broke away from the problems from Round 1, Nathan got even sketchier, with some unclear panels AND bad handwriting that I just skimmed over because my eyes don't deserve this. I like the style, but can't vote for that alone. Also, this is more of what I expected from a Patisserie competition instead of an eating contest, but there was no plot at the end of the day. Just baking instructions with not a lot happening. Lackluster, I think half the baking and double the polish would have given you a fighting chance.

>CAT CAFE: Ormand
I'm proud of Ormand's entry going further beyond what was done in Round 1. Still had unfinished parts that kill the mood, but still an improvement.

Vormio's art is cute, but the content is very schizo. Story barely touched the Cat Cafe theme. Ormand's wasn't that focused on it either, but in this there's barely any correlation.

>CRIME/RIOT
Very nice. Again with some in-team banter and good humor (favorite was French "money"). Art rough on the edges, but a clear improvement from round 1. I respect embracing the stock images, but it might shoot you in the foot if your opponent delivers high-effort art.

>WINE TASTING: Paulus
I've lived to see Paulus trying harder than his opponent. (DID IT HAVE A BRIM OR NOT?)

Clear downgrade from Tammy. First round was cute, short and sweet. This time it's almost cute, shorter and... okay, it's still cute, I love this tomato...

While simple, it did deliver really something.
>Museum Heist: Abstain
No further comment. Both teams brought their A-game. Win or lose, I am proud BUT refuse to self-vote in general.
>Catacombs: Akio
Funny, polished and a bit of an improvement of the last round. Princess Dex started good, but then really went down with how unfinished it eventually was.
>Diving: Kevin
Funny and solid little comic with at the end the destruction of France. What more can you ask of it? It's just a bit of a shame Senna's part was unfinished, it looked a bit promising.
>Drinking: Balkari
Both were solid and strong, but Balkari's story was just a bit better at telling it.
>Playing Guitar: Janitor
Just way funnier in general, really didn't care about the cuckoldry and shit.
>Cooking: Abstain
Both were equally entertaining and equally strong with the story they wanted to tell. Alexis' story greatly illustrated his charming cunning while Chadwick's story really showed why he's the Bad Guy we really need to look out for. They both deserve to win in my book.
>Concert: Antonio
The concert looked way more lively and fun in their part compared to
>Game of Chance: Fernando
While shorter, way more effective and funnier imo.

- Same item to be stolen, so it would become a competition (the painting done by GM);
- Me asking for Chuckson's age.

Other than that, each duo worked separately.

On the other hand, Chuckson x Alaïsa may be opponents now, but in the previous edition of Crab we were Linda and Taya, part of the same team. I guess there could be an element of us understanding each other's characters and thought process when making comics a bit too well.

I for one think it's cringe that abstaining gives 1 point to each participant instead of 0. It makes no difference, kinda silly.

The swimsuit round was my favorite round, entries wise. I really love what everyone did so picking one was incredibly difficult. I wish I could have done more to make it even better but time crept up on me. Everyone I think did a great job.

My favorite individual entry was the Vivian + Alaisa heist entry. Maiden-4 being the only adult in a sea of children and still getting outsmarted by baby Alaisa was very funny.

Leuca's concert entry was very fun, I like the framing device and the vampire killing aspect. I hope more people also put their own character's lore in their round 3 comics as well, with some characters from their home world trying to help as much as possible.

Great work everyone, exicted to see what's up next round!

I can't believe everyone here did great! This vote was pretty hard for me since we had a lot of sick entries. I don't really have a lot to say about them but I'm gonna have Abby roast every single CRAB here. Not here to cause any drama, just having good fun.

>Dating: Outtake. (Unfortunate for Femboy leaving.)
Femboy Elf: "Thank god he's leaving. I'm not against femboys, every guy has a right to be fem like. But I don't like elves, they're too smug for my tastes. I'm more of a dwarf girl."
Outtake: "Aww the little guy can't handle small talk. He's lucky he wins this round cause if he were dating me then he would've lived up to his name and explode."

>Museum Heist: Chuckson and Maiden-4
Vivian: "Those things are way too cute for me, even if they turn into a hot guy. The only thing hot here is my flamethrower ready to torch them."
Alasia: "Goddamn I hate kids, it's bad enough they grow into angsty teens but turning back into babies makes me question my life."
Chuckson: "Yes I would love a some fat kid in charge of security. Why don't we get some soda and candy while we're at it? The thieves wouldn't have to kill us cause we'd die of a heart attack."
Maiden-4: "To be honest this chick looks pretty sexy to me, this museum must have a BDSM club or something if they have security like this. Then again this is France."

>Catacombs: Akio
Princess Dex: "Oh my god, I just noticed. She's missing her pinkie. Can I be a princess too if I cut off my pinkie? I mean who give a shit about pinkies?"
Akio: "Oh damn... This guy likes taking it in the ass doesn't he? Nice."

>Diving: Kevin
Kevin: "Hehehe froggy..."
Senna: "I'll applaud this girl for diving in a pool of France shit, full of cigarettes and disappointment. Once you go in you'll never come out, even with that gender potion."

>> No.6658122

>Drinking: Carolyn
Balkari: "Goddamn this cat can drink a lot, wait she isn't even a cat here is she? Well that's good, if I was a cat I'd drink the same way as her, not for a contest though, it be in my bathtub... Alone where no one can see me."
Carolyn: "Holy shit what's wrong with your face!? You have good taste in beer though."

>Playing Guitar: Janny
Janny: "Hey his hat has some funny words. Y'all should totally read it. Haha"
Louis: "Look at this guy, thinking he's all high and mighty with his guitar. I'd never let him out play guitar around me, unless I was fucking his boyfriend like he did with Janny's girl. Wait..."

>Cooking: Chadwick
Chadwick: "Goddamn Chadwick turned into a little shit huh? Of all the dumb kids here Chuck's the one I most tolerate. He has a touch of class to him that I can respect, just don't let him near the kitchen."
Prince Alexis: "Goddamnit I hate smug people.. What the hell's your goddamn problem? Stop acting you're all high and mighty! Wipe that smile off your face and cook right! Stop bullying Kids."

>Concert: Leuca (Leuca has the gold anyway so...)
Leuca:" You know what, I don't blame her. Every time a guy becomes a girl they start feeling their own breasts, but if a girl became a guy... Yeah I'd try to suck it too."
Antonio: "Damnit why'd this guy have to leave? He's the only attractive guy I could tolerate! Oh whatever, he didn't even invite me to the concert..."

>Hide n Seek: Abstain (They all got gold)
Turtloli: "I'm not sure what I'm looking at here. France seemed way too nice here, even with friends."
Scrimblo and Co: "Damn that slime girl got me huh..."

>Game of Chance: Fernando (It was tough deciding on this one.)
Penelope: "Huh... Sometimes when I make a mistake, someone else makes an even bigger one... Especially if you're in France."
Fernando: "Damnit, Damnit, Damnit this guy's out for blood. I can't believe GM put me up with this clown. Even if the gun's fake I can't turn my back on him. Fuck!"

>> No.6658123

>Swimsuit: Abby and Mike (Fuck y'all I'll vote for myself)
Abby: "Okay what the fuck? I was told that I had to wear nothing else but the Hat! Looking back I saw everyone else with the hat fully dressed! You mean I just walked round naked for no reason? Ehh, it was pretty sexy though."
Mike: "This guy's from the future and he's playing fucking bongos? I forgot to ask what kind of music there is in the future, cause I'm sure his tastes suck."
DL: "What do people see in this thing? I saw a hideous dragon yet everyone else saw an anime chick. See what I mean? Everyone's a thirsty weirdo! Oh well, I'd totally laugh if she was naked."
Bear: "This bear had no right to call me out on cheating without any evidence. My best friend's mom is a lawyer! I'll have you sued for sending me to french prison. Also I'll sue GM for sending me to France without my consent."

>Gardening: Merachne
Soil Repair Unit: "So... what. All this bot does is gardening? They should just replace all gardeners with A.I. That'll give the techbros a hard on."
Merachne: "This guy doesn't seem all that out of place in France. If you told me he was french I'd probably figure it out sooner."

>Art: Bernard (Cassia Dropped)
Bernard: "Damn it. Bernard is too wholesome here, becoming a woman made him too soft. Come on man you're making it too hard to roast! Grow a pair!"
Cassia: "Oh well, Her paintings would've been as good as mine, and I'm proud of my shit drawings!"

>Sailing: Jed (Captain Dropped)
Jed: "Eww this kid was spying on me! Go play pirate somewhere else ya fucking weirdo!"
Captain: "Ehh he was a captain of a sinking vessal, he had to go down with his ship. That's all I have to say."

>> No.6658124

>Sand Castles: Contestro and Berlo
Contestro: "He makes a good trash can, I would happily throw my garbage in this little guy. Glad to have him on my team."
Berlo: "Wait. What's happening? What's going on? No get your hands of me! Nooooooo!!!! Berlo is king. All hail Berlo."
Amablebot and Jackbot: "What the hell are these things? Are the manarchy guys compensating for something or they just can't handle losing more members? I don't blame them though these two were cowards."

>Opera: Bellboy
Bellboy: "That guy's not taking this seriously is he? Not even stripping nude for the princess and not putting on a show. He is so lame! Even as a woman!"
Lustless: "Wow... I didn't need to see Akio's tiny dick. That'll cost you Princess."

>Patisserie: Amy and Pauline
Amy: "What? You thought France was actually fun you dumb bitch!? I mean... it's alright but I'd rather go to Disneyland, expensive as shit but at least they keep the park clean."
Pauline: "Goddamn that's a lot of fucking pastries. Glad I'm not there, I would've eaten all the pastries faster than all of y'all since I'm not good at moderation. Shit now I want some cookies, good job lady now this sweet tooth won't go away."
Boberon: "Why does this guy have two hats? It like that meme, does he wear it like this or like this? It fucking pisses me off, just go with one."
Nathan: "Hot damn he looks good! I'd let that jaw draw on me!.. Oh his muscles? Yeah they're okay. I'm too distracted by his shiny Jaw though."

>> No.6658125

>Cat Cafe: Ormand
Ormand: "Oh lord, this kid sucked at tennis! I was trying to help him but it's too late, he's gonna go to collage and become a nerd!"
Vormio: "Man this cat cafe is really weird. I thought there was supposed to be cats here, I'll I'm seeing are weirdos pretending to be cats..."

>Riot: Cannon Girl
Cannon Girl: "Damn girl you should've kept those old clothes on, you'd totally fit them! Also a normal day in France I see."
Falcon: "Damn... I can't believe he Falcon Punched her..."

>Wines Tasting: Paulus
Tammy Mato: "Hey... You're not supposed to swallow the wine, you're only just tasting it... Ehh she's a tomato, what can you do..."
Paulus: "Hmmm... Little gnome guy... Classy... Nope, can't do it. This guy's too comfy for roasting."

That is all. See y'all on Round 3.

I'll quickly add some context to the video while I'm preparing my votes: Scrimblo and friends looking for Turtloli without her being aware of their existence is in line with the original comic.
Firebird turning into a boy in the last second is one of his random reincarnated form, check the monsters' reference sheet (picrel). sadly couldn't give him justice because of time constraint.

first time voting, here they are

Dating : outake

Femboy elf's image was neat and morbidly based, but it can't compare to an entire comic with an artstyle I love and with a funny turn of events

Museum bulgary : abstain, both where huge kino

Catacombes :Akio, not much to say here but seing a video of Akio cheatin on gmsama was funny

Diving : kevin, sorry but I did no understand senna's

Drinking : abstain, both where good for slitghly different reason, balkini's made à genuiely kind Carolyn, Carolyn had a nice plot (trough I didn't understand everything, i'm assuming it's about clown assrape)

Guitar : janny, jannys' mastery ways had enlightened me (seriously i like the comic for being as absurd as taims get trolled), and im not into gay porn anyway

Cook : chadwick, both where really good as both where assholes in their own ways, but chadwick delivers some heavy shit, also rip birdie

Concert : antonio, unfortunatly leuca was not much about the concert, meanwhile antonia had very good visuals

(2/2)

Gullag game : Penelope, I don't have the words, that ending came out of nowhere, and so was the prologue, wasnt expeting à crab death like this

Swimsuit: dragon n bear, animation was kino

Garden : merachne, close one but the relatable french situation and abstract style won me over

Sand castle : abstain, can't chose wich one to take, contestro was good but fast, same as ama and Jack, like the 911 joke

Opera : Bellboy, both where booba and that's a plus but bellboy was so good and the scenes where very amusing

Patiserry : Nathan and boberon, amy and Pauline where very good looking but Nathan and biberons where comedy, and that's what I liked the most here

Café : abstain, sorry for this one I didn't understood much of both comics, yeah I have the attention span of a caterpillar

Riot : canon girl, that one was very cool, would have been perfection if they added a macron saga

Whine : paulus, both where short but paulus had more content, special regards to the chad gm panel that one gave me a laugh

Outtake
Cute artwork, funny too, though I wish it involved femboy elf a little more.

Abstain
Not voting on Museum Heist, leaving that up to the audience to decide.

Kevin
Extremely impressed with the entry overall. The nuclear ending and the epilogue were hilarious.

Akio
Both were entertaining, though Princess Dex’s artist did the best in their situation facing 3 commissions at the time of making this.

Carolyn
I felt that both Balkari and Carolyn’s story was strong. Carolyn gets my vote for playing up the human Balkari in a good light.

Louis
The absolute gall of Louis to go for an ending like that. My heart goes out for Janny. While the ending isn’t within my taste, I do appreciate downer and bittersweet endings when they are impactful. For that and the work put in, I think that Louis gets the vote. But Janny’s entry and the callback to /crab/ 1 was fun to read. I also wonder if that was an Elder Scrolls Arena reference in the end.

Alexis
Hilarious and goes hard on Chadwick. But that does not go to say that Gus’ entry wasn’t entertaining. Gus comes in again with his classic visual storytelling technique shines through. Computer or not, Gus

Antonio
Came up with a short colored that’s to the point. While I also liked Leuca’s entry, and will inevitably win, Antonio’s work is commendable.

Turtloli
Late, but worth it. It was very advanced work and still wondering how that was made in the timespan of this tourney.

Penelope
I thought this one was a truly hard choice. Fernando’s entry has the clean lines and a clear cut story, but Penelope’s entry used Fernando in a creative way and reflects how he would really behave from his comic. It’s tough to be the last of your kind.

Dragon Lady/Bear
Simply put, the animation won me over. The true treasure is indeed friendship.

Soil Repair Unit
Merachne’s entry showed great technique. Dark and brooding, and good story to tell. However, I thought that SRU is in his element here and wins as he was able to fulfill his purpose as intended by his name.

Bernard
Cassia tried, but unfortunately couldn’t complete. Bernard came out with a finished entry and a story to follow that honors both characters. I especially enjoyed his inner conflict when it came to using his weapon on Cassia.

Jed
Fun little adventure between Captain and Jed. Even if Captain dropped out, Jed made the best of it.

Contestro/Berlo
Both were funny for different reasons. Contestro/Berlo’s art style won me over. But I got a good laugh out of the jokes in Jackbot/Amablebot’s entry.

Bellboy
Wow. Where to even begin with this one? The entire comic was a hilarious trip from start to end. His author made sure to spare no expense when it came to this match up. From the dialogue to the visuals, it’s a ride straight into the depths of madness. Bellboy had to even acquire help from his dad from his home comic and even he couldn’t help him out. You can feel how even Bellboy, Lustless might just be a bit too much for even him.

On Princess Lustless’ part, she was fighting an uphill battle. But Akio/Lustless shenanigans were funny, and the song of choices were great if you look them up. I think the Lustless entry deserves a bit of respect for not flinching the the face of her opponent and putting what she could in there.

Amy/Pauline
Cute and funny team up with tea versus Boberon and Nathan Higgs. Nathan’s author did all

Ormand
Ormand’s story was easier to follow while also involving some character development for his own story. Vormio’s artwork was good and the dialogue was funny to read, even if you must go through its very aberrant way of paneling.

Cannon Girl
Truly hilarious and makes use of the opponent Falcon.

Paulus
Both comics featured wine tasting, but while Tammy’s entry was straight to the point and funny, Paulus took the time to appreciate the wine.

Outtake.
Both comics were cute, Clowngirl joining rosebuds was a surprise, but Femboy Elf had no actual entry.

>Museum Heist
Abstain. Both entries are absolutely phenomenal. I can't pick a winner.

>Catacombs
Akio.
Busting Busting Busting Busting Busting

>Diving
Kevin.
Really fun and put together. funny ending. a few panels in senna's entry were confusing.

>Drinking
Carolyn.
Party hard! both entries gives more about the characters. I like the mystery bit, hope there's a followup.

>Playing Guitar
Louis.
Although not enough guitar, Louis destroys Janny where it hurts.

>Cooking
Chadwick.
Alexis's entry was a vast improvement from round 1. but despite Chadwick's latenest from technical errors, he still comes out on top.

>Concert
Abstain.
Wonderful entries. both deserve a point.

>Hide n Seek
I adore the video, they both deserve the win.

>Game of Chance

Both entries were fantastic, honestly thought Fernando would get the kill. He "won" but at what cost?

pretty even match. there's a sense of wonder and ambience for merachne's.

>Art
Bernard won by default.
Bernard is going through something in this tournament. sucks that cassia dropped.

>Sailing
Jed won by default.
I'm really disappointed that Captain didn't post an entry.

>Sand Castles
Amablebot and Jackbot.
Based robots destroying their opponent's castles.

>Opera
Bellboy.
Boy this guy got destructive.

>Patisserie
Boberon and Nathan.
Pastry so good it killed them.

>Cat Cafe
Abstain.
Both entries were entertaining. Despite vormio's entry being hard to read. It does give an overarching story.

>Riot

>Wines Tasting

Both comics were fine. Paulus' entry was more silly.

Not going into a critique because I've already covered most of what I wanted to say in my original vote, some of the winners may have been different than the score suggests due to personal preference.

What part of "don't entertain the dramafag" don't you guys understand?

Every time somebody feeds this asshole it always evolves into the same type of shit-flinging that ruins the thread. They do NOT post in good faith, therefore there is no point in acknowledging them.
Yes, they are mean. Yes, they are wrong a lot of the time. Isn't it obvious that it's quite literally them just vendettafagging just like in every other thread?

Everybody did good work and we all know it. No point in trying to defend ourselves against them in-thread since they're just going to take whatever crumbs you give them and continue to make a big stink over it.
They can either tell it to our faces in discord or be written off as literally nobody.

>C/B vs Jed
I don't understand the Jed circlejerk, I assume its some /hyw/ shit, but his comics are shit. Contestro and Berlo was cute and showed higher quality potential.
>Senna equal to Abby and Mike
They're just all 1 because they all pretty much sucked and weren't worth rating higher.
>Kevin equal to the Bots
I see no issue there, though maybe he should have been higher.
>Penelope and Fernando that low
Penelope's art looks like attack on titan characters, no matter how good the rest of it is that will always hold it back.
Fernando would be higher if he put more effort into it.
>Museum Heist stealing the show
It was fun, but the comic itself was mid. The art always varied from decent to lazy. It was not a show stealer, only notable because of how close the competition was. It wasn't near the level of Prince Alexis or Tutloli.

That's life man. People like what they like, and if they're biased about it then so be it. Chadwhick being voted for doesn't make my work lesser than nor does it mean that people are only voting for him because of a sob. That just infantilizes him and further alienates myself and what's left of my team from the people in the tournament. Again, Gus did good work with what he had and I busted my ass to improve my work from last time even though I knew I wasn't going to win this round no matter how good i made my work. Fuck I don't even give a shit about winning or any of that gay shit, I'm just here to draw at this point.

>Dating: Outtake
Finished entry. Cute work Outtake, tho I kinda wish you stopped with the surplus of stick figures (a few is ok but not too much!) I like your style and want to see more of it!!

>Museum Heist: Vivian and Alaisa
Chuckson’s and Maiden-4 had wonderful work and was super cute, I loved your comic but I will go with Viv/Alaisa’s because of the little puzzle-thingy that was included + the choice of animation placement was pretty fun (I really liked the sprouts running).

>Catacombs: Abstain.
I knew exactly what I was doing when I made this music video. Dexterity’s entry was really funny but I just wish it was completed otherwise I would’ve given my vote to her. I don’t want to vote for myself either because I didn’t really give Dex much spotlight and was a little too self-indulgent this round lol.

>Diving: Kevin
Very cohesive and cute entry. Loved the video at the end. I do hope to see more work from you in the future, Senna!

>Drinking: Carolyn
I’m a sucker for atmosphere. Balkari’s entry was nice but it didn’t hit as hard as Carolyn’s.

>Playing Guitar: Louis
Janny is my boy but there wasn’t much guitar playing in his. Louis’ entry played on deep-lore and I love it for that.

>Cooking: Prince Alexis
Voting on this one genuinely tore me. Chadwick had an amazing entry with wonderful storytelling (so theatrical!) but as I read the comic I didn’t really see Alexis’ character.

>Concert: Leuca
Antonio anon you know you’re one of my favorites, but that Shawn of the Dead reference made me laugh.

>Hide n Seek: KINO! I have to say I am very curious about your process. Gonna look up some tutorials once this tourney ends!

Game of Chance: Penelope
Masterful story-telling on Penelope’s part. I’m a huge sucker for this type of story-telling and that ENDING?? Whew, like a fine cuisin. Fernando, you always have such beautiful art and I love to see your work, but it just didn’t hit as hard as Penelope’s, which tbf, was kinda hard this time around. Both did fantastic imo.

Swimsuit Competition: Dragon Lady
Just fun-maxxed, Bear’s was really funny but Dragon Lady knocked it out the part on this one.

Gardening: Merachne
SRU was fun but Merachne’s entry was very beautiful, I’m a sucker for that brand of story-telling.

Art: Based Bernard

Sailing: Jed coin through the roof

Sand Castles: Amablebot and Jackbot
Pulled a hail mary getting that one finished on time, I gotta stand by it.
Patisserie: Amy and Pauline
It was way more polished and easier to read. My heart goes out to Boberon but Sire, I hope you use type in the next round because I could barely read your part of the comic.

Cat Cafe: Abstained
Where are the cats

Riot: Cannon Girl
Actually did the thing.

Wines Tasting: Abstained.
There wasn’t much of wine-drinking or characterization of the opponents OCs in either entry. I feel conflicted because Tammy’s had more wine-drinking but Paulus had more content. Overall, I hope to see you guys work a bit more carefully with your ratios in the future - even if they are relatively shorter!

>Opera:
You guys tore my heart and soul to shreds for this one. How could you do this to me? I feel genuinely targeted here (and I love u guys for that)
Bellboy, you know I am weak to your ways, like, I’d suck dick behind an Arby’s for Bellboy, sell my 1st born child for Bellboy, shit I might even kill for Bellboy. But enough about my very obvious thirst for Bellboy, your comic was fantastic. When I was reading it I thought to myself “This person is a masterful storyteller”, just hilarious work. I like to believe a lot but I can’t believe my mans did him so dirty like that, supplied so many laughs, I absolutely loved it! And that pegging joke? Lmao. As for the art? Wonderful. Team Bellboy till I die probably.
Lustless, I was quite worried about you since I didn’t get to see much Lustless action in round 1. But I must say, you exploded by expectations. I had to stop reading your coming multiple times because I couldn’t stop laughing. I don’t know what it was, but that dialogue fucking KILLED me. “Makes sense”, “probably” had me dying bro. That fucking schizo rant Akio went on was hilarious but that last page? SOUL. Whole comic felt like a Harold and Kumar movie. It was just so grimey, yet so hilarious. Lustless, my queen, I declare my vote to you.

Any actual care about winning aside, and no matter what the reasoning behind certain votes are.
When people win with comics that shouldn't win, it really takes the fun out of the tournament either way.

It doesn't matter if you win or not, but the tension of competition encourages people to do better and motivates them to put work in. When the "competition" aspect of it is just demonstrably bullshit, or skewed in a way that isn't enjoyable (like however makes the most sex jokes), it kills any of that competition appeal. What motivates me to draw for a competition I know doesn't matter over just drawing it for myself on my own time?

The same applies when everyone pretends all comics are amazing, when some are objectively trash and many of them were people admitting they didn't try or were throwing the round away. Its demeaning and insulting, it's not a good thing to have your half assed sketches that took 2 minutes to draw getting treated the same as something you worked 2 weeks on, it just tells you that your hard work was pointless because nobody cares beyond whatever nebulous bullshit they were going to vote for initially anyways.

Competition and tension are good things, they push you to improve and try harder. Trying to take that away just leaves you with a hug box of people who don't want to improve or be motivated to try harder, just a bunch of people who want empty compliments.

No I'm not going to post who I am, but I'm sure many of you can probably guess. I just find it insulting and its one of a few big reason I definitely won't be back next time.

Balkari anon's ending was endearing, but Carolyn anon's comic seems to be working on a narrative, following round 1 and leading into something in round 3. Big if true. I'm a sucker for that kind of planning, but now you've set my expectations for round 3 pretty high.

I don't know about any of this background lore, and I really don't care, and as far as I can tell, it doesn't effect me in any way.

The response to it annoys me even more, because not everyone here wants to be in your weird friend group, I just want to draw. If you didn't want to make it an open thing and just wanted a weird private discord group tournament, why even post on /ic/? Just make it on the discord and keep it to your friend group.
