I'm going to use this thread to vent because I don't have anywhere else to do so.

I recently started streaming on twitch. I was hoping it'd help me talk a little more. My last two jobs were office jobs where I barely had to talk to anyone and it kinda fucked me up, and now that i'm still trying to find a job I also just only talk to one person a day.
It's also getting me to play more games which is nice.

So naturally since I'm doubtful I'll get popular I made my own logo, overlays, everything. I don't want to expose myself as a whiney bitch so I won't share them here but I think I did pretty good.

But everytime I post to tumblr, twitter, and reddit to advertise I'm going live I get at least one new person a day DMing me trying to sell me their graphics and even if I tell them I'm unemployed and literally have no money right now they're like "that's okay I'll give you a discount!"

So I've just started to reply with "Is there something wrong with the graphics I have?" to make them feel awkward since I made them myself.

I KNOW they're just sharks jumping on fresh meat trying to make a sale or maybe even scam new streamers, but it hurts a little since I worked hard on my graphics and I'm pretty happy with them. I even learned how to make the chat box work on screen and made it pretty.

I steered clear from any kind of social platforms all my life until recently, and now that I dipped into them I have the confirmation that I was right all along, this shit is one of the worst fucking inventions humanity ever made, I'm 100% sure that if I didn't keep away from them until now my life would have been much more miserable. The only exception of course is 4chan, because like moot said back then being anonymous lets people make mistakes and not face long terms consequences, shielding their ego, and at the same time pushes them in actually use their brains in conversations they're invested in because there's nothing making you more likeable or interest than the guy literally next to you.
Being annoyed by floating turds is one of the prices you pay for exposing yourself, it's just how it is.
The consolation is knowing that this kind of people is far more desperate and pathetic than anything you ever called yourself in your biggest down. They're literal fucking NPC zombies

As for the rest of ic, I don't really pay too much attention. It gets kinda old reading the same crap about AI.
Lastly, I don't know any other place for art. Reddit and other possible alts are too sanitized, strict, or barely populated.
ic may be crabby and autistically weird, but there's something about it that feels more "real" in a way. Crabs are still here, but there are sincere artists, too.

There has to be some behind the scenes fuckery going on at Twitter beyond what Musk has been recently announcing. I drew some fanart, got around 400 to 600 likes. I also started with hentai foundry back then and it was AWFUL. Mods deleted all my images giving stupid reasons. I would admit them if they were true, but they made non sense. Meanwhile most of them were praised on other websites like artstation, DA or other forums. They were not really beginner level at all but I think they just didnt want me there.
I didnt have good experiences with newsground and had some of my work deleted too (not doing loli or any illegal stuff, just soft nsfw and some nudes, always tagged them correctly.)
