I started drawing a little less than 1 year ago with a friend who sadly quit drawing a few months after I started. It was actually pretty fun seeing my skills develop and being able to create better drawings over time.

However, about 1.5 months back I've found a new hobby and my motivation for drawing has really all but disappeared, so I'm most likely going to stop drawing for good for now, at least for the foreseeable future. Either way it has been really insightful to learn a skill like this and even if I won't use it to make art, having a wacom is pretty useful for other things. And while /ic/ certainly isn't perfect I have enjoyed my time here, so I thought I should give a proper goodbye.

Pic related is the last proper thing I drew, managed to land nicely at #50 at least

What is your new hobby? Micro influencer?

why does every artist besides me seem to draw anime garbage when they start out lol, why not study renaissance paintings like i did. i mean no offense but but you should be glad that you gave up so quickly so you didnt sink thousands of hours into art just to realize that your brainrot means that you'd never succeed in any capacity at it.

Various outdoor activities, but mainly fishing.

Probably because I never intended to make a job or gain a following from drawing. (although drawing anime-girls would be a far easier way to grow online compared to renaissance paintings) I just liked drawing things that I though were cool, and so what I drew was probably infuenced by games and various anime. I would imagine it's the same for most people.

The answer should be obvious if you were born between 1990 - 1998.

Not him but they all look exactly the same. You had nothing but a short lived infatuation and that is all.

I had drawn for around 2 months on paper but it it didn't really go beyond doodles with 1-2 pieces that had some effort.
>>6583697
Hey, that's probably why I stopped drawing when I found something more enjoyable to pass the time with.
Although I will say.

Like I said, you had a mere short lived infatuation and I hate people like you.

yeah it looks to me that from month 7 he just invested more time into the pieces more than a technical improvement

He won’t, he’s just crabbing you out of jealousy. Sorry to lose you anon, you clearly have talent, especially given your short time frame of drawing and the complex subject matter that you manage to tackle effectively. I can only imagine how far you could go if you stuck with it another year. Although I’m sad to lose you and what good work you could bring to this board, I hope you enjoy your future endeavors bc that’s what it’s all about.

Not him but why do you hate people who simply draw for fun? Isn't the whole point of art to be able to create things you enjoy?
